086. The Fierce Demon Iron King (Part 2)
The arrogant statement did not anger Andrew; he coldly stared at the sinister figure in the dust and suddenly spoke:
"How much?"
"Ha, what's he saying?"
From within the blade came Jania's voice
However, before Li Aozi could explain, Andrew continued:
"An annual salary of one million ammonium gold to work for Velazi. How about it?"
His words drew the side glances of the Velazi employees around him.
"How could this be?!"
"How could he be worth that much?"
"Young Master Andrew! He's just a Gamma Tier—"
Jania clicked her tongue within the sword.
Among this group trying to dissuade him, not a single one questioned the appropriateness of "buying off the enemy mid-battle."
"Shallow. Anyone who can harm me, regardless of the means, far surpasses you bunch of fools!"
Andrew scolded those nearby, then looked at Li Aozi:
"Your biological frequency indicates your physical body is still quite young. Heh, young, powerful, and with limitless potential—listen, kid, I don't care what your motives are. As long as you're willing to stop attacking and work for me, I'm willing to offer the appropriate reward and hospitality."
"Young Master Andrew—"
"Shut up." Andrew glared at his subordinate.
These idiots, used to bullying the indigenous people of Vankov, had even had their IQ assimilated.
They didn't even think about it—if the company's defense system could be breached so swiftly, and even he, protected by extraordinary divine power, could be injured—how could they still think this guy was merely a Gamma Tier?
Biological frequency is the only credential for identifying one's path and tier. Any supernatural being with a bit of sensitivity could detect it, and it's almost impossible to fake.
But almost impossible doesn't mean it's entirely impossible.
If these fools had any reverse thinking, they'd realize that a guy with such destructive power wouldn't be lacking in technology or magical items. Not to mention, that peculiar magic sword he held was proof enough.
Look at Kaire and Martyn, all tense and on edge—how ridiculous.
As a capitalist, why use force when you can settle things with money?
Adjusting his collar, he said calmly:
"Martyn."
The steel elf stepped forward, head held high, almost looking down his nose at Li Aozi, speaking arrogantly:
"Let me introduce you. Perhaps you still don't fully understand, feeling indifferent at heart—the person standing before you is the young master of the Velazi Corporation, heir to the Aiosis Ring, a young talent of the 'United Group,' the recipient of [Soul of Plunder] Red King's blessing, Andrew Velazi—"
Clang!
The smoke cleared, and the cold blade glowed with magical light, slicing straight toward Andrew.
"Protect Young Master Andrew!"
Kaire instantly stepped forward, his company uniform instantly transforming into a skintight nano-suit. He summoned his strength, his muscles swelling as if inflated. As a progression profession of the [Destruction] line -[Warrior], he trained in the Crane style. His body, honed to perfection, allowed him precise control over each muscle's movement and tension.
Bang!
The red lightning-wrapped blade was kicked away, and Kaire clenched his fists, advancing, activating his body's pressure points to trigger an invulnerable state.
He tore through the dust aggressively, raising his arm in a double-fisted blow toward Li Aozi's head.
「Quz'osava (Elvish: Barbarian)!」
Steel elf Martyn Chambord shouted, raising both hands, converting magic into magnetism, surging with compressed metal spheres that shot out all over his body. These metal spheres, guided by magnetic force, formed a dark vortex midair, transforming into dozens of willow-leaf-shaped floating blades.
"Oh, [Mech Operator]?"
Li Aozi was slightly surprised. That's a rare, highly mobile profession among [Machinists].
But, thinking about the steel elves' affinity with machinery and industry, it made sense.
In the next instant, the [Warrior]'s two fists struck the sides of Li Aozi's temples, sending his body flying. As he spun mid-air, countless floating blades rained down like a storm, colliding and slicing through his armor's crevices, sparking brightly.
At this point, even the Velazi directors nearby breathed a sigh of relief.
'Good thing these two intervened.'
The two Zeta-Tier combatants acted instantly, creating absolute suppression. Just one more finishing blow, and they could eliminate him.
—Could they?
Li Aozi barely lifted his blade to block the floating blades, but even with his best efforts, under Chambord's precise control, his body was sliced, chopped, and pinned to the ground.
Kaire then accelerated, charging straight at Li Aozi like a cruiser, punching toward him.
Boom!
Li Aozi's head was instantly crushed, compressed to nearly nothing under Kaire's terrifying strength as a [Warrior].
Under high pressure and heat, Li Aozi's head was forcibly twisted into a thumb-sized diamond.
"This is the outcome of challenging the company!"
Snap!
Kaire grabbed his head, turned around, and expressionlessly displayed the diamond-turned Li Aozi to everyone.
What a shocking kill—Li Aozi couldn't help but admire.
Zeta-tier combatants truly are terrifying. Not only did he break through the gravitational shield, but he also shattered the armor I had built up over time. Just the residual power alone drained my 17,400 health points completely, leaving me in a near-death state.
And he casually twisted my head into a diamond.
With just one move.
This is a [Warrior]! This is the [Destruction Line]!
Pure violence, wild and domineering power, every punch lands flesh-on-flesh, a path of strength that stirs the blood.
Thrilling, impressive, exhilarating!
This is why so many people are drawn to the [Martial Artist] and its advanced professions.
But unfortunately, Li Aozi doesn't actually have a head.
[Death Link]
Li Aozi lightly curled his finger. Kaire's body suddenly froze as he felt an intense chill strike him.
"Kaire!"
Chandler quickly called out in warning. Kaire promptly mustered his strength, activating his energy shield.
However, no matter how fast his strength was, it couldn't compete with the instant trigger of Omega Energy.
[No profession can match Omega Energy in trigger speed!]
Li Aozi's blue neural tendrils struck first, penetrating Kaire's body before his shield could rise.
[Sever Life]
A curse that prevented recovery took effect instantly, and with a hard tug, Li Aozi ruthlessly extracted part of Kaire's life force.
His body began regenerating at high speed, and Chandler quickly responded, his floating blades slicing down with magnetic precision, severing Li Aozi's arms.
"Argh!"
At the same time, Kaire's arms throbbed with pain, and blue blood seeped from his shoulders.
"Kaire!" Chandler was startled. "How? Where did this attack come from!?"
[Blood of Immortality]
Armless and headless, Li Aozi's body suddenly lifted into the air. Before everyone's eyes, his bones restructured, nerves and blood vessels intertwined, layers of flesh and armor reformed, completing his resurrection in an instant.
"Never seen this? I'm immortal."
Li Aozi touched his neck, the purple glint in his golden eyes gradually fading. He beckoned, and Jania, which had fallen to the ground, returned to his hand. He barely raised his head, but before he could say anything, Kaire and Chandler attacked him simultaneously, aiming at his head.
Meanwhile, outside the shattered window, the rescue team arrived, hoisting plasma cannons, aimed at Li Aozi.
[Death Link]
Li Aozi wove his hands, linking everyone present in an instant.
Andrew sneered, a supreme will radiating from him, shattering the link's mark.
"Die!"
Kaire's punch landed on Li Aozi's chest, and he immediately took three steps back as a company executive who'd been linked collapsed dead on the spot.
"Oh?"
Andrew was slightly surprised:
"A damage transfer ability—quickly, step back to avoid getting caught in it."
Upon Andrew's confirmation, the company's executives began an orderly retreat under the protection of the security team.
"You've angered the company; you're not leaving today!"
Chandler's floating blades continued tearing Li Aozi's battered body to shreds, but each slash that landed on Li Aozi left fine, bloody cracks on Chandler's own skin.
"Damn it!" Chandler lowered his shoulders, sweat covering his brow. He looked at his colleague, whose body was riddled with knife wounds, and cursed, "What kind of monster is this?"
"Open fire!"
Realizing the damage to their own side, the floating assault vehicle outside immediately locked onto Li Aozi and pulled the trigger.
Upon seeing this, Kaire and Chandler shouted in unison:
"—Stop!"
Rat-a-tat-tat-tat-tat!
The plasma light burst almost into a concentrated laser line, each shot precisely hitting Li Aozi. Despite the gravitational distortion dispersing much of the damage, Li Aozi's body was hit repeatedly amidst the intense bombardment.
Li Aozi, recognizing the gravitational turbulence protecting him, promptly deactivated it.
Boom, boom, boom, boom!
His body was engulfed by the blue flames of the plasma cannon.
Thud, thud, thud!
"Director Meyer!?"
"Mr. Raven is down! What's going on?!"
"Ms. Nuria has lost her vital signs! We've detected no source of attack! Heavy VIP casualties!"
"Cease fire."
Andrew raised his hand, signaling the assault vehicle to stop firing.
"I see. Refusing my offer, giving up your defenses on your own—you came here intending to 'destroy Velazi Corporation' from the start?"
Kaire and Chandler dared not attack further.
They couldn't understand it. Every attack they made should have shattered this bastard to pieces, yet he kept standing back up.
In the end, only their colleagues and friends were taking the damage.
However, while they were afraid of harming others, Li Aozi had no such fear.
