"Suppose you could return to your world, would you go back home?"
"!!!" Nathan widened his eyes. He had never thought about it.
But when he was asked this question, his mind immediately changed to the worst-case scenario.
What if after all this, they still lose?
Would he choose to turn back time and start all over again? He didn't have any memory of his previous lives. He didn't know whether the original Nathan's lives were the only previous lives this body had, or whether he had turned back time after coming into this world a few times already.
That answer might be in the book, or it might not be. After all, it only answered his question about the original Nathan.
There might be a reason for Nathan to erase that memory if he really turned back time.
If he fought against the aliens and lost, wouldn't it be wiser to retreat rather than turning back time?
