Nathan raised his eyebrows while Mae said, "Looks like we have an esteemed guest."
Since Mae had added 'esteemed,' Nathan knew the guest wasn't a thug who was trying to mug them. Nathan nodded to Evelyn as they headed to the door. Mae opened the door for them.
The one in front was none other than the manager of the exchange hall they had met earlier.
"How are you doing, esteemed guests? I apologize for disturbing your rest. However, may I have a bit of your time? I would like to introduce you to a person."
Evelyn couldn't help but squint her eyes as if she was displeased these people dared to disturb them. Her body was faintly emitting pressure.
Before they thought it was a threat, Nathan put his hand on her shoulder, as if telling her to calm down.
Evelyn clicked her tongue and walked away, as if telling Nathan to deal with it herself. However, this was nothing but a performance.
