Evelyn followed Nathan to the inn. Nathan casually asked for one room with two beds while her focus remained on the answer.
Once they were inside, Evelyn stared at him without saying anything, pressuring him for an answer.
"You don't have to glare at me like that." Nathan chuckled and took out the paper bill and handed it to Mae.
Mae was surprised at first but soon understood what Nathan wanted. It was money from the modern world's system. Nathan couldn't explain it to her because there was no way the familiars would say anything about their monetary system.
Hence, it would be better for Mae, who had worked in the palace, to explain it to her.
"This is paper money. It's a currency issued by the government and accepted by the public. You asked earlier whether we should believe this paper money or not. If I have to answer, then yes. We should believe in paper money.
