The heavenly king descends, the promised end does not arrive with him.
"Sariel, bring me back to the tree. Sorry, Ms Tan. I'll turn myself in after this." (Yggdrasil)
"... You'd need to do more than just that to repent." (Lynnie)
"Mhmm." (Yggdrasil)
With {Swap}, they arrived floating above the tree at once. Ledaine, an average looking man in an office suit was waiting in front of the tree. It looked like a scene out of a game, where the player character meets the final boss floating high up in the air in front of them. Only this time, their positions were reversed.
"... It can't be... You're back. My authority is also gone. You killed her?" (Ledaine Termina)
"That's right. You'll join her soon, invader." (Yggdrasil)
The situation has essentially been reversed. Communications are still up, Ledaine didn't seem to have any backup armies at all. There were almost no resources outside the garden, much less mass producing soldiers for all those 11508 years, he had already struggled enough to produce what he could. It was impressive enough that he made 5 million C grade foot soldiers and roughly 5000 B grade lesser wyverns.
It took about a day to clear out one zone of these creatures, but the sentinels were putting in the work. The wyverns were already gone, and the vampires could no longer mount any coordinated efforts, leaving themselves to be isolated and culled each at a time. They will take at most 3 months to exterminate the rest, but these forces weren't going to be anything useful in the current battle.
Conversely, if the authority remained in Ledaine's hands, he could start mass producing an army the moment he descended. He wouldn't so much more than an A grade threat. At the moment, this was all he was. A slightly stronger wyvern. It was time to cull the invader.
"I hope you're ready, I will strip you of purpose and meaning." (Yggdrasil)
Neither had a God's authority, they were both virus like entities that infected a computer and used its resources for their own needs. But now that computer is wholly gone. They have nothing but their singular self to rely on.
"All is as {Cocytus} ordained, your purpose is mine to reap. Your strings dance to my tune" (Ledaine)
With the first move, he activates his skill. Yggdrasil is dragged by an incomprehensible force, her body shifted within breathing distance of Ledaine. That force was presumed to be gravity, but she couldn't resist... Rather it's as if her body wanted to move there. No matter, Ledaine controlled fate, it wasn't that big of a surprise.
Her left palm grips onto the flesh over his face, squeezing tighter as she swung her right fist. She was brought closer, but she didn't mind fighting in close quarters if she needed to do so. Ledaine raised his fore arms and blocked the strike, his flesh smoking from the force unleashed through her knuckles.
"!? You were far stronger than I imagined. No matter, what is 11000 more years? I can always build up my army and subordinates again. Goodbye. {Nerve}! " (Ledaine)
Calling out to his subordinate, he no longer found it necessary to hide their skill names. They've been exposed since the first fight anyway. There are still countless vampires under his command, wandering outside and claiming victims. However there was no one else who could interfere at this current moment.
"{Swap}, from now on the underworld will be under my domain." (Sariel)
With his arrival into the garden, she has tracked the coordinates of his 'underworld bunkers'. With {Swap}, she can now deny his escape attempts. Gateways between dimensions were intricate, albeit not fragile. But if one had the means, such as {Swapping} around core components, the gate would instantly disintegrate. There is no longer a way out, Sariel will take care of {Nerve}, leaving Yggdrasil to wholly focus on Ledaine.
"You're not returning home, invader." (Yggdrasil)
She closed the distance, her foot wrapped in the dark red aura of {Feed} tears through reality as it finds its mark. Using {Cocytus}, his body shifts in a way most convenient in reality, where the kick does the least damage despite landing. Without Eterna's authority, his fate manipulation has diminished to this extent. Reality will bend to his convenience. However convenience can only reach so far. His body is sent flying, but as far as she could tell, it did absolutely no damage. Like kicking a sandbag. The impact completely dissipated.
He crashes into a school building in the dead of night, the world tree faintly flickers in the distance, illuminating their silhouettes with an ominous dark red within the building. She caught up, only for him to greet her standing with everything intact. The concrete window frames broke and the inner furniture were in a disastrous mess, but otherwise it seemed as if nothing had happened. That's how speckles Ledaine was.
No matter, Yggdrasil no longer cared about anything other than battle. She'll drown this planet if she needed to, everything might possibly be fixed later, after Ledaine is dead. She finds herself thinking less and less like a magical girl, but the red hot dark blade in her hand screams the sensation of passion into her contacting right palm. The force of a blunt attack like a punch might get too easily dispersed, so she materialised her trusty great sword after entering the building.
Her legs take her closer, not a single wasted movement. She seemed almost completely different from before, like a newly awakened war god after accessing endless knowledge from Eterna's authority. Like the supernatural information composed being that she is, she instantly integrated the wisdom of humanity with herself. With a wide swing, a large slashing force cleaves through the classroom space.
Ledaine jumps to the side in a pitiful manner, ducking under the diagonally oriented slash. An unremarkable display, in a swift motion she swings her blade from overhead. This time there was no time for him to dodge, two slashes carved deep into the floor and walls, causing some of it to fragment and fall into a lower floor as debris.
There was an equal resisting force, no more dodging. Out of nowhere, Ledaine had brandished a scythe to block the great sword. Still, he was being pushed back by the great sword's greater mass.
" {Cocytus}. " (Ledaine)
"{Feed}." (Yggdrasil)
Ledaine slips out of the sword bearing on him with a powerful parry, the great sword swings backwards into the air from the force. Ledaine then took the chance to slip closer, in one swift motion the scythe was pressed against Yggdrasil's neck. But she had promptly refocused {Feed}'s energy to reinforce her fist, and blocked it with the back of her right palm. It pressed against her skin, causing shallow bleeding.
