In the middle of a raging blizzard
"Flynn I'm cold," Xia complains as they emerged from a the front door of a ramshackled cabin which disintegrates in the howling wind. "Do I look like I care, that spell sent us somewhere random," Milo says as he shoves Xia into the cabin and picks a bed frame up and blocks the door to keep the wind out.
Examining the area Milo finds an old wood stove and checks the exhaust vent. "Looks like it's good enough to work," Milo mutters as he used a brick to tap the chimney attached to it and knocks any soot in it loose with a influx of cold air confirming the fumes would go out.
Pulling a bag out of his pocket he pulled out several logs of various sizes and loaded the stove up. Next he pulled out some rubbing alcohol and doused the wood before striking a match and igniting the wood. "That should help," Milo says as he takes his shirt off to check the wound from getting stabbed.
Wincing he uses the remaining rubbing alcohol to disinfect it while questioning Xia. "You know I blame you for this. I assume that guy has something to do with the group that hurt you. I don't recommend lying. I'm not in the mood and will throw your ass back out in that snow," Milo warns as the cabin starts warming up and he uses some of his power to heal the wound.
"You know you're..." Xia starts only to be interrupted by Milo, "A complete and utter asshole? I get that a lot. Let's skip to who that guy was."
"Fine. I don't know who he is exactly per say, just that he's part of a group called the Silentist. A group of crazy people who wish to kill me and stop the spread of people getting their Word," Xia says as she stands near the stove in a dress and sandles trying to warm up, "My turn for a question Flynn, you used magic. That's not something I introduced to this world. So tell me how'd you find it? Let alone learn it fluently?"
"That's none of your concern right now imp," Milo says as he finished healing the stab wound. "But I'll indulge your question, just this one time. I met other gods, Tranus in particular helped me adjust to my new abilities. He also taught the basics of magic. The rest I figured out on my own."
"Should have known that bastard would stick his nose in my business," Xia scoffs rolling her eyes and rubbing her arms to warm herself up by the stove.
"What? Bad blood?" Milo teases pulling a large blanket from his ring and handing it to Xia, who takes it without a word wrapping it around her.
"Worse Flynn," she says scoffing, "he's my..."
"You look rather young this century, dear wife" Tranus appears looking at Xia who glares at him.
"Ex-wife you cheating bastard," she growls
