In the pitch-dark night, with not a shred of light, the rain kept pouring relentlessly.
The cold drops of rain fell on her body, utterly devoid of sensation.
There was no way out, no end in sight. All she could do was run, with all her might, desperately trying to escape from it all.

With a scream, Shen Li once again woke up from her sleep.
The luxurious room, the extremely lavish furnishings, the gorgeous chandelier on the ceiling shedding soft light.
It was all a dream, just a dream…
Only, it wasn't the first time she had dreamed this same dream.
"Huff…" Shen Li gasped for breath.
The tender warmth of the bed provided no comfort at all, the terror that rose from the depths of her heart spread throughout her body, making her feel ice cold.
She threw off the covers and got out of bed as quickly as possible, her pale ankles stepping onto the thick woolen carpet.
Without bothering to put on shoes, she headed straight for the door.
