In their hearts, the Big Boss had always been a man of steel. They had never seen him cry before, and now seeing him so heartbroken, everyone felt sad too.
"Big Boss, don't be sad. We were wrong. We shouldn't have acted recklessly."
"Yes, yes, we'll follow Big Boss's orders."
The Boss wiped his tears with his sleeve and then his nose, saying, "It's good that everyone is willing to listen. I'm telling you! Our hill here has a steep terrain; the Government Soldiers can't attack us. As long as we defend well on the mountain, they can't do anything to us."
"Big Boss, if we're hiding, aren't we afraid of them?"
"Yeah! We've been dominating this area for so many years, afraid of whom? Big Boss, don't let a defeat get to you, or the other bandits will come and bully us."
"Yes, yes!"
Everyone nodded in agreement.
The Boss: "I'm not afraid, haven't you seen me afraid of anyone all these years?"
"No."
