Seeing Guo Feng's carriage depart into the distance, Xiaotian and Yang Qiu entered the courtyard.
Xiaotian first took Yang Qiu for a stroll around the Guo Mansion, then sat together in the yard. As the noontime sun rose higher, Xiaotian said, "Xiaoqiu, the sun is quite strong out here, shall we go back inside?"
"Yes." Yang Qiu agreed and followed Xiaoqiu back inside.
Xiaotian noticed that Zi Lan was always following and serving them, which made Yang Qiu a bit uncomfortable. Once inside, Xiaotian said to Zi Lan, "Zi Lan, there's nothing much here, you can go now. I'll call you if I need anything."
"Yes, young madam." Zi Lan obediently withdrew.
Inside, only Xiaotian and Yang Qiu were left. Xiaotian wasn't wrong; Yang Qiu indeed felt uneasy because she couldn't say or ask what she wanted with Zi Lan around.
