At around 4 a.m., the elevator entrance of the Teaching Building was shrouded in darkness. In the absence of any light, the Pseudo-Human students remained in their sculpture-like state.
But when the glow of an old coal oil lamp shone upon them, the side of their bodies facing the light sizzled as if placed on a grilling rack, emitting wisps of white smoke. They began to transform into their Pseudo-Human form, yet the light seemed too overwhelming for them. Their partially "fleshified" bodies immediately started to shed fine, white powdery particles with a soft "rustling" sound.
Meanwhile, the Pseudo-Human sculptures let out deep, cow-like groans, instinctively covering their eyes with their hands, desperately hoping to escape the light as if hiding behind a futile illusion.
