The seaside in February is warm and gentle, the rain is just right, and the fields are full of vitality. Outside Hidden Serpent City, the beans planted in autumn and spring are already nearing harvest time. And at the rivermouth dozens of miles east of the City-State, the cassava fields expanded last year are lush and tall, ready for another round of planting soon.
