"Fire! Fire! Don't let the pirate ships get closer!"
"Shoot! Open fire on them!"
At the inner bay's port, tens of thousands of Marine soldiers lined the coastline, clutching flintlock rifles and rocket launchers, and pulled the triggers on the approaching pirate ships.
Dozens of coastal defense guns, positioned along the arc of the port, fired with a thunderous roar, sending sprays of water into the sea.
Once a pirate ship was hit by one of these cannonballs, which were packed with an astonishing amount of explosives, a hole three or four meters in diameter would instantly appear.
Smaller ships were even split in half by the incoming cannonballs and, along with the pirates crowded on them, were blown to pieces.
Some of the larger pirate ships could withstand several hits.
And these large pirate ships were often led by pirates with exceptional strength.
Therefore, some cannonballs would be destroyed and explode far away by the pirates on board before they even got close.
The firepower that the G1 branch was unleashing on the inner bay's sea was more than a dozen times that of a Buster Call.
In a short amount of time, dozens to hundreds of pirate ships were blown to pieces and sank to the bottom of the sea.
In just a moment, at least five thousand pirates were killed on their way to the island, without even getting close to G1.
"Brother Katakuri! If this keeps up, we'll probably have to lose tens of thousands more men before we can reach the island! Their firepower is too strong!"
Cracker, who was holding a long sword, sliced away an incoming cannonball with a single strike. He then clapped his hands, creating over a dozen stout biscuit soldiers who held up their shields and stood guard on the deck of the Singing Queen, shouting to Katakuri, who was standing at the ship's bow.
"Hmph! This level of sacrifice was part of the plan. Are you feeling sympathy for those weak hangers-on, brother Cracker?"
Oven, who was standing with his arms crossed, looked extremely cold. He was completely deaf to the sounds of the sinking pirate ships and the wailing screams that occasionally reached his ears.
The plan to encircle and attack G1 was always to use the pirates under the command of the Four Emperors as a shield for the attack so that the main forces of the major pirate crews could successfully enter the main battlefield and massacre the Marines on the island.
Therefore, the layout of this attack was to position the large number of subordinate pirate crews on the outer edges of the grand fleet to withstand the Marine's cannon fire.
In a nutshell, those numerous pirates were nothing more than cannon fodder for the four pirate crews.
"That's not what I meant, brother Oven."
"Then shut up! This battle plan was formulated by Katakuri. Do you not trust Katakuri's mind?" Oven scoffed loudly, making Cracker look ashamed.
Although Cracker was one of the Big Mom Pirates' Four Sweet Commanders, he had always deeply respected his older brothers.
Especially Katakuri, who was considered the treasure of the Charlotte Family and, despite not being the eldest son, held the highest and most deserved respect in the family. He was the perfect man in everyone's eyes.
He was strong, smart, steady, and very good to his family.
The man in front of him had the respect and love of every member of the Big Mom Pirates.
Seeing Cracker lower his head in shame, Katakuri, who had been silent for a long time, opened his eyes and looked at the island a thousand meters away.
"Don't worry too much. Compared to those pirates, family is the most important thing. Besides, even if the Marines have enough cannonball reserves, the cannon barrels won't be able to handle this much firepower being unleashed at once. Follow Jack the Drought's ship; the Marine's encirclement is about to be broken."
Katakuri's tall and straight body was like a javelin, leading all the members of the Charlotte Family to move straight ahead.
"Pass down the order. Even with a great advantage, we can't be careless. Everyone should keep an eye on the situation of the Marine reinforcement force. If anything seems wrong, immediately pull back and defend. Destroying the Marines in the New World is important, but losing too much for it isn't worth it. Mama agreed too quickly."
"Yes!"
Upon hearing this, Cracker immediately took out a Den Den Mushi and began contacting his brothers and sisters on the other large ships.
On the sea in front, the Beast Pirates, known for their ferocity, were at the forefront of the charge of the four pirate crews.
And leading the charge for the Beast Pirates, acting as the vanguard, was naturally the most thick-headed mammoth giant, Jack the Drought.
After his encounter at Fish-Man Island, where he lost all four of his limbs to a giant sea king, Jack, with the help of the Beast Pirates' chief scientist, Queen, was converted into a half-mechanical, half-flesh cyborg using the most durable metal.
His strength did not decrease but instead increased, becoming even more powerful than before.
"Lord Jack! The ship is severely damaged, and large parts are starting to leak water! If we get hit by another cannonball, we probably won't be able to make it to the port!"
Behind him, Gin Rummy, a voluptuous gifted person, shouted anxiously.
"That's right! Lord Jack! How about we slow down a bit and let those subordinates be our shield and go first..."
Another gifted person, covered in sweat, rushed up to Jack and shouted.
However, he was interrupted before he could finish speaking. A steel hand with only three fingers grabbed his head and lifted him off the deck.
Jack the Drought lifted the terrified gifted person in front of him, glared at him with bloodshot eyes, and said in a raspy voice:
"I said, get the ship closer for me!"
"Yes... Yes! I'll..."
He didn't get to finish. Jack grabbed his head and threw the gifted person, who was trembling like a leaf, toward an incoming cannonball.
"Boom!"
With a loud bang, the gifted person's body was thrown into the incoming cannonball, and he was blown to pieces.
Seeing this, the pirates behind them all turned pale and dared not say another word.
Jack grinned ferociously. He brought his two mechanical hands, which looked like Michelin tires, together in front of him and aimed them at the three coastal defense guns in front of them that were spitting fire.
A dazzling light appeared in the palms of his hands. As Jack the Drought's ferocious grin widened, a blinding beam of light shot out from his hands. In an instant, it crossed the hundred-meter-wide sea and hit the concrete wall below the roaring gun turret at the port.
"Rumble!"
Along with a massive burst of blinding fire, the entire area for thirty to forty meters around the point where the laser beam hit was completely obliterated.
The two nearby coastal defense guns were also affected by the shockwave of the explosion and were shattered and collapsed.
The Marine soldiers who were within that radius were all turned into charred pieces without even letting out a scream.
Jack was even more excited by his successful attack. The springs in his two mechanical legs compressed and tightened, and then with a pop, they rebounded, shattering the deck beneath him and propelling his ten-meter-tall body into the sky. He lifted the enormous warhammer in his hand, swooped down on the densest group of Marine soldiers, and smashed it down.
"Boom!"
When the warhammer hit the ground, the earth for several hundred meters around rumbled and shook.
A vibrant splash of blood burst forth among the Marine soldiers at the very front of the port.
At the center of the explosion, a dozen Marine soldiers who had rushed forward to try and stop Jack the Drought were completely obliterated. The naval officers who were roaring and charging in from around them were also unable to stand their ground against the exploding shockwave and were sent flying by the violent gust of wind.
"Oh no! Jack the Drought has broken through! Kill! Quickly kill him!"
The naval officers who were positioned in the second line of defense immediately roared and charged forward, completely ignoring the splattered remains of their comrades and fearlessly swinging their swords at the ferocious-looking Jack the Drought.
"You bunch of useless trash, die for me!"
Jack the Drought, who had discarded his long sword for a long-handled warhammer, was simply unstoppable when he got going.
In just over ten seconds, over a hundred Marine soldiers had died under his huge hammer.
"Splash!"
"Splash!"
The blood that had covered the ground suddenly began to gather, forming streams of flowing blood that rapidly moved toward a certain spot, causing Jack, who was in a state of bloodlust, to pause slightly.
He straightened up and followed the quickly flowing blood to see Shiliew, whose skin was like charcoal and looked like a demon. Shiliew was holding a cigar in his mouth, allowing streams of blood from all directions to continuously flow into his body.
With the influx of a large amount of blood, Shiliew's scorched skin quickly peeled off, revealing new skin and muscle underneath.
Even his lost eyebrows and hair grew back.
As more blood flowed in, blood began to seep out of Shiliew's pores, wrapping around him.
His body kept getting taller, and he soon reached five meters in height.
"Phew."
A white puff of smoke came out of his mouth. Shiliew grinned, reached out, and drew his sword.
The bloody blade of the cursed sword, Raiu, flashed in the flickering light of the sky.
The next second, a series of sparks burst from Jack's two steel arms, which were holding the long-handled warhammer.
Two deep slash marks appeared on the surface of the special metal, which was harder than steel.
A horizontal cut burst open on his broad chest, and a large amount of blood gushed out of the wound, flying toward Shiliew.
"Blood, I need blood." Shiliew grinned, letting out a maniacal laugh, and the lower half of his body turned into a torrent of blood that propelled him into the sky. He raised his sword and slashed at Jack's head. "Whether it's the enemy's or my own!"
"A Devil Fruit user?"
Jack didn't even look at the wounds on his body. He swung the huge warhammer in his hands, smashing it down on the charging Shiliew.
The warhammer, which weighed several dozen tons, crashed down, shattering the air and hitting Shiliew directly, causing him to explode in mid-air and fall to the ground as a rain of blood.
Looking at the sticky blood that had drenched his body, Jack's expression was cold. He reached out and wiped the blood off his face.
But just then, a sharp pain shot through his left eye.
The blood that was on his face suddenly condensed, turning into sharp, crimson spikes that began to fiercely pierce his face and body.
Caught off guard, his left eyeball was directly pierced and destroyed by a crimson spike.
This kind of pain, which went all the way to his brain, made even the thick-skulled Jack the Drought let out a cry of agony.
More blood flowed into the cracks of his mechanical body, and it was fiercely destroying his cyborg body.
At the same time, a sucking force came from the wound on his chest, continuously drawing out the blood from his body.
"Damn it! A Logia?"
Jack roared in anger. His Observation Haki expanded, and his one remaining right eye shot out a fierce glint. He suddenly reached out with his steel hand, which made a squishing sound as it pierced through his own chest, creating a gaping, bloody hole.
The steel hand, wrapped in pitch-black Haki, closed, grabbing Shiliew, who was trying to shrink his body and get inside him, and slammed him down hard on the ground.
The ground shattered with a loud bang, and Shiliew's spine, which was being held by Jack's neck, made a series of dull clicking sounds as blood spurted out from his seven orifices.
But just like Jack, there was no fear on his face. Instead, he smiled a bloodthirsty, cold smile.
"Did you not eat? Jack the Drought, use a little more force, heh heh heh."
Jack gritted his teeth. A light appeared in the steel hand holding Shiliew's neck, and energy gathered. A laser beam was shot out at close range, hitting Shiliew's neck.
"Boom!"
A brilliant ball of light expanded, engulfing both of their tangled bodies.
In the explosion's fire, Shiliew's neck was pierced by the laser beam, his spine was broken, and half of his neck was torn and twisted to the side.
Jack's left forearm was shattered and blown apart into metal strips.
Behind them, the pirate ships had completely docked.
A dark mass of pirates, brandishing their swords and with ferocious looks on their faces, leaped onto G1 island.
The Marine soldiers threw away their flintlock rifles, drew their swords, and charged forward, fighting the pirates who had landed on the island.
A large number of pirates rushed past Jack. But just then, Shiliew, whose neck had been half-obliterated, clenched his hand.
Dozens of pirates who were passing by him exploded with a series of pops, turning into a bloody mist that gathered and formed a crimson dragon that plunged into his broken neck.
Soon, the terrifying wound on his neck healed at a visible speed, causing Jack to once again raise his warhammer. Without thinking, he swung the hammer at Shiliew, whose wounds were rapidly healing.
The huge hammer, which was covered in pitch-black Haki, struck Shiliew's body, causing his bones to snap and crackle, and his body was thrown away like a broken sack.
"You bunch of trash, get out of my way! Don't be an eyesore here!"
Jack slapped away three pirates who were rushing past him and, gripping his warhammer, pursued the flying Shiliew.
"This is great! The Marines' first line of defense has been breached, brother Katakuri!"
Cracker clenched the long sword in his hand and looked at Katakuri with joy.
"Don't celebrate too early. The real battle is just beginning. Don't think that having a numerical advantage means we can end this battle quickly." Katakuri's right hand turned into a wiggling lump of white mochi. A three-pronged spear, which was gleaming with a cold light, slowly emerged from his arm.
"Why? Are Kaido and Mama still unable to defeat a single Akainu?" Cracker was stunned.
"No." Katakuri looked up at the dark sky in the distance, and his voice was faint. "Because the Marine reinforcements have arrived!"
"What?"
Cracker was shocked. He quickly followed Katakuri's gaze but saw nothing.
It wasn't until three or four seconds later that he saw a warship with a Marine sail billow in the sky above the G1 island's fortress. It roared as it descended onto G1 island.
As the massive, hundred-meter-long warship fell from the sky, the sound of a roaring wind echoed across the world, causing both sides of the battle on the island to look up.
Gion, who had just forced King back with a single sword slash, had her eyes light up. She couldn't help but shout: "The reinforcements are here! It's the Admirals!"
At that moment, everyone on G1 island heard a deep, old voice that sounded like rolling thunder in the sky.
"Rorschach, you brat! Run over that fat hag, Charlotte Linlin, for me!"
