Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: A New Suit and an Unlikely Meeting

Xiao led me through the lush forests of Teyvat, his footsteps silent on the soft earth. I followed him, still in a daze, my mind reeling from the whirlwind of events. The landscape was stunning, unlike anything I'd ever seen. The air was fresh, and the colors seemed more vibrant, almost magical.

After a while, we reached a small village nestled between the trees. The buildings were quaint, with wooden beams and stone foundations, giving the place a rustic charm. Xiao stopped in front of a small shop with a sign that read "Tailor's Haven."

"Wait here." he said, disappearing inside.

I stood there, feeling out of place in my worn-out clothes. Moments later, Xiao returned, carrying a bundle of fabric. "Here," he said, handing it to me. "You need a new outfit."

I took the bundle and looked at him, puzzled. "Why are you doing this?"

"Because you can't walk around Teyvat looking like that." he replied, his tone matter-of-fact. "Follow me."

He led me to a small house nearby, where an elderly woman greeted us warmly. "Xiao, it's good to see you." she said, her eyes twinkling. "And who is this?"

"This is Amadrya" Xiao introduced me. "She needs a place to change."

The woman nodded and ushered me inside. "Come, dear, let's get you sorted."

I followed her to a cozy room where she laid out the new clothes. The outfit was simple but elegant, a deep shade of green with silver accents. It felt soft and comfortable, a stark contrast to my old clothes. I changed quickly, feeling a strange sense of renewal as I looked at myself in the mirror.

When I stepped outside, Xiao was waiting. He gave me a quick nod of approval. "You look better."

"Thank you." I said, feeling a bit more confident.

"We have somewhere to be." he said, leading me away from the village.

As we walked, I couldn't help but ask, "Where are we going?"

"To meet someone important." Xiao replied, a hint of a smile on his lips.

'Wow, he can smile like that? He's kinda bit.... good looking isn't he?' I thought to my self while walking behind him.

After a short journey, we arrived at a clearing where a tall, slender figure stood, playing a lyre. The music was enchanting, filling the air with a sense of peace. The figure turned to us, revealing a youthful face with bright, sparkling eyes and a mischievous smile.

"Xiao, my friend!" the figure called out. "And who might this be?" He said, peeking to look at me who was hiding behind Xiao.

"This is Amadrya" Xiao said. "Amadrya, meet the Anemo Archon, Barbatos. Most people call him Venti."

Venti's eyes twinkled with curiosity as he looked at me. "An outsider?! A pleasure to meet you, Amadrya! Welcome to Teyvat!"

I stared at him, unsure how to react. An archon? In front of me? It was surreal.

"Don't be shy." Venti said, stepping closer. "Any friend of Xiao's is a friend of mine!"

'Quite an enthusiastic person, isn't he?'

"I'm not sure I would call us friends," Xiao muttered, but there was a hint of amusement in his voice.

'Wow, isn't that kind of a harsh thing?' I glanced at Xiao with my stoic expression before looking back at Venti to see his reaction.

Venti laughed, a light, musical sound. "Well, we'll see about that. Amadrya, how do you find our world so far?"

"It's... beautiful..." I admitted. "But overwhelming. I don't understand why I'm here."

"Sometimes, we don't need to understand everything," Venti said, his tone gentle. "Sometimes, we just need to experience it. Let the wind guide you."

I nodded, feeling a bit more at ease. There was something comforting about Venti's presence, a warmth that made me feel safe.

"Come." Venti said, gesturing for us to sit. "Let's have a drink and talk. There's much to learn, and I think you'll find Teyvat full of surprises. I'll introduce you to the tavern! "
