RedWood StopNGo Station
Time: 06:37
Bang!
Bang!
The shots of a gun fires inside the station, illuminated by faint hints of it's sparks - of light - and quickly diminishes within a second, when each shot is fired - the light as visible as it is, glows before the surface of glass panels.
After the rounds cease, a dormant silence crept both sides. The interior had no noise afterwards. The exterior, on the other hand, is provides it's natural duty as the morning hours hurriedly burn time. Eerie and dimly lit atmosphere. Birds chirping. And the forest creaking like a bug.
Onwards, the door for the station opened, it's hinge screeching. It's screws rusted over time. In it's place, a man with jet black clothes stands. His composure bedridden, he shakes it off. And as he walks forward, the door for the station slowly closes, and not after peeking inside, red pigment or liquid is painted on the other side.
The man then heads to his car, parked some distance away from the station. The man ran out of supplies so in his dire case he fortunately came across this station. In his hand he held a bag of supplies.
As he approached the car, he reached onto his pocket, grabbed the car keys, inserted it, and pulled the door as he went through.
The man then calmly put the supplies into the back seats or it was just his other seat parallel to him. The car he used is a common type model. Four seats and has a modern design.
Once he was about to finish, he took out his firearm. He looked at the firearm and, on his hand, it was covered in a red thick liquid attached on the surface - better yet, it was blood. Not plenty, only a little stain. When the man looked at it again, his expression froze. In his mind, he remembered something striking. A voice begging for mercy.
'Please! Please! Don't shoot me!'
The man knew what it was. It was what had transpired a couple minutes earlier. He knew only to reply accordingly.
'Sorry, but I'm afraid you'll be better off without it."
Hesitating no less the man aimed the gun at him, the innocent voice, and pulled the trigger blowing up the man's head.
BANG!
What is left is a dead man's corpse constantly spilling blood from it's cranium. The man in black watches without a change in thought, his hand holding the gun shuddered in blood.
It was one merciless killing.
The man then snapped out of his dream. He continued doing what he could not minding the past, but rather focusing on the road ahead. By doing so, he took a white cloth drenched in water and cleaned his hand and the gun included.
Done at last he hopped in the car, started the engine and drove off. Taking the wheel by his hand he pulled it in reverse. The car came to a stop. Changing the gear, he then turned the wheel to a heavy left and punched the peddle below, kicking the car to side onto the road.
The car is now on route following the main road to wherever it may lead.
~~~~~~
It is in the car that the man drives - his hands and foot handling the gear, peddles, and the wheel.
The man could only watch the front windscreen. Outside it is trees and nothing more.
Alfred, the man's name, is becoming bored. All his doing is driving, nothing else is there of the sorts to keep him entertained before he falls asleep. There just right on his corner, he turns the radio instead and listens to the news.
He hears it.
The news reporter reports about the outbreak. Although the news reporter doesn't have much information on what is going on exactly, the reporter instead replies and conveys the message that all civilians are to stay indoors. Lock doors. And wait for further updates. Just like that the radio went static.
Alfred then spoke to himself, "Well isn't that a shame. No matter what they do, it is better off if they are not to experience it. Wouldn't you agree?"
From the looks of it, it might look like Alfred is crazy and weird. But is it really the case.
Alfred then turned his head, his eyes piqued an interest. Where the supplies were, were also where he's own firearm was. A pistol.
It also included a big and bulky, and jet-black tube like pipe. A very fascinating design - a very owned shotgun.
WEAT FIELD
HELICOPTER CRASH SITE, ONE DAY AGO.
At the crash site, the fire from the wreckage was intense and unbearable. Fire and smoke when combined created a hazardous situation - a situation bearing inoperable circumstances.
Where the fire was, smoke was there too. Where there was metallic frames torn apart from the helicopter, there was destruction in its place; large areas devastated, the wheat field as big as it was had a small dent within it's proximity.
It can be concluded that a situation such as this, is the lowest of any survival rate. But ultimately it was not. As if by luck, a person in orange and white rose from an area close to the wreckage. It was the crewman. Not only was the crewman, but another person far from the wreckage came running. It was Alfred. It seems as though the two of them made it alive and well. On the flip side, a rotten stench is fuming the place alongside a number of unknown bodies.
"Hey, you okay," the crewman said aloud to Alfred.
Alfred who caught the Crewman's sight replied, "Yeah, I'm good."
The crewman ran to him and met him. They were surprised to be surrounded by a wrecked helicopter and being the only two people to make it out alive.
"Damn!" the crewman said as he looked around at what the terrible crash has insued upon the land, "I've never thought it would come to this. These people losing there lives had so much to life, but now they are dead. Shrouded by a virus too much to handle.....and before long it devours us as if we are the prey this time."
As the crewman talked, Alfred could only hear the man's words until the crewman came to a stop.
The crewman then breathed out, adding on to his words again, "It's better we get out of here."
Alfred nodded.
As they were about to set out, Alfred noticed that the crewman didn't move when they both agreed. When Alfred looked back at the crewman, he saw his expression took a slight chance.
"Hey!" Alfred yelled.
When the crewman heard it he snapped out of it. To whatever was happening with him.
"Are you alright?" Alfred said in a mild and deep voice.
The crewman responded, "Yeah I'm good. The view here just makes me feel uncomfortable."
Like nothing had happened, the crewmate passed Alfred's side and walked infront of him. That is not until Alfred noticed the crewman hiding his hand. When he saw it, he's fingers were moving uncontrollably - it was also he's arm that was trembling.
Alfred didn't like to make assumptions and second guesses. He also didn't like to question as often as he wanted. Rather he plays his cards well and, he followed his instincts. Besides all the things his been through, is he going to question his methods that have been keeping him alive until now. No, he wasn't going too.
When the crewman didn't look Alfred's way, he lowered down, swooped in to grab a sharp metal fragment and leaned close to the crewman's back before doing what he knew was right.
The crewman sensing something behind him, he got startled and quite taken aback, "What the?.....aghh."
STAB!
"You have to die," Alfred said closely to the crewman's ear.
In defense, Alfred immediately received an elbow straight to the face. This made the two split, and were apart from each other.
It is questionably unrealistic how things just went. At first, the two survivors were fine, and then later, it seems as though the crewman has a metal perck inserted deep on his stomach where his right kidney is located.
"WHAT THE HELL!?" The crewman confused, questioned this person.
On Alfred's side, he had an expression considered that of a killer. He had no other expression. It was the same one instead. Get killed expression.
Before the crewman could react, Alfred ran up to him with another metal fragment on him.
'Shit' he thought to himself.
He did the best he could, the crewman, evading Alfred's slashes whilst also keeping himself alive from bleeding out and keeping with the agonising pain that came with it. From the many outcomes, those few he didn't succeed as he got various cuts on his body all oozing out blood.
Nonetheless, the crewman was out of stamina. He was out dry. He fell to the ground. His strength quickly diminished.
With one final breath, he couldn't believe his eyes.
"At least it was..."
His words cut off, he was met with a metal fragment pierced into his neck. But it wasn't a bother. Because the moment the fragment reached him, he was already lost to this world.
Back to Alfred's car, Alfred stared with a bit of grinning gesture on his face. He watched and drove off. The sun nearing full daytime, it covers the road and forest in it's radiance.
