Jiang Shuwei's eyes were filled with indifference as he said these words, then ran away without looking back.
Ye Mei chased after him, calling out: "Xiaowei, don't go!"
But Jiang Shuwei seemed not to hear his mother's words and kept running, out of the living room, disappearing outside the door.
Ye Mei was in such a hurry that she accidentally twisted her right foot, causing her to grit her teeth in pain and sit down on the sofa, clutching her leg.
"Zhihai, what are you doing standing there? Hurry and go after Xiaowei." Ye Mei urged Jiang Zhihai, who was standing there, feeling anxious for her precious son.
"What are you all standing around for, quickly go after the young master." Jiang Zhihai ordered the servants.
Then he sat down beside Ye Mei, lifting her leg onto his own: "How is it? Does it hurt a lot?"
As he asked, he pulled her skirt up to reveal her lower leg, the ankle joint on her right foot already swollen.
