Wang Dadong nodded and said, "Your Holiness the Pope, I came to see you this time to borrow something."
"What is it?"
"That Millennium Birch Tree in your courtyard."
"No." The Pope bluntly refused Wang Dadong.
"Your Holiness, it's just a tree, do you have to be so stingy?" Wang Dadong was speechless.
"It's not about being stingy; that tree is now considered an artifact and is the symbol of my St. Peter's Basilica. How can I just lend it out?" The Pope said blandly.
"Is that so?" Wang Dadong furrowed his brows.
If that's the case, it would be quite troublesome.
After all, it's their symbol and an artifact; there's indeed no reason to lend it to him.
"How about this, I won't borrow the whole tree, just lend me some thicker branches, okay?" Wang Dadong thought and said.
The Holy See surely wouldn't lend him the whole tree, but just taking some branches back to make stakes should be fine.
"That's possible, considering we do pruning every year anyway." The Pope smiled.
