Xiao Li left.
Butler Zhong entered. "Old Master, how did it go?"
"That rascal! He wouldn't agree!"
"The Second Young Master will agree," Butler Zhong stated. "After all, Xiao Shuo is still trapped in there. For his freedom, he would compromise on anything."
Old Master Xiao's head ached immensely. For him, things were getting messier and messier!
"Let's keep this from Old Seventh for now," Old Master Xiao said after a moment's thought.
"Of course!" Butler Zhong affirmed. They wouldn't be the ones to tell Xiao Linye. Whether Xiao Li would, however, was uncertain. Then again, Xiao Li had never been very bright. He was probably terrified now and wouldn't dare mention this to Xiao Linye at all.
"Do you think he will agree?" Old Master Xiao mused aloud. Xiao Li had never defied him in his life, but this time, his attitude was clearly very firm.
"He should," Butler Zhong said.
