Regarding Xiao Li.
He, too, hadn't slept all night. Upon waking this morning, he looked utterly drained. The irritation etched between his brows hadn't dissipated since he left the old residence yesterday. It was evident just how vexed he felt. Eventually, he summoned his lawyer, and together they went to the detention center. About half a month had passed since his last visit to see Xiao Shuo; visits had been impossible during that time. It was only after considerable effort by the lawyer that a meeting was arranged. However, each time he saw Xiao Shuo, his son would howl and wail. Xiao Li truly couldn't bear to see him in such a state, so after a few visits, he'd stopped going.
And so it was now.
Upon seeing Xiao Li again, Xiao Shuo was just as before. "Dad, my own dear Dad, when exactly are you going to get me out?"
Xiao Li said nothing.
