Chapter 41 - Chapter 39: Sin's Mentality.

I Keep living this same day, over and over and over.

This day where everything went wrong.

It starts normal, I grabbed the pen and wrote down everything that happens.

Then I heard my father call out to me.

"Son, Did you go to the town to invite people to our nightly prayer?" He asked as I then replied.

"Not yet Father, I'll go now.." I said as I then stood up from the desk and left the church.

The young man left the church door open for visitors as he then walked to the town.

Once he reached there. He knocked on the first door as a man opens the door and asked him.

"How may I help you Sin?" He asked with a look of disdain on his face as Sin then replied.

"We're holding a nightly prayer today. We hope you visit." He seemed so dead while speaking as then the man brushed Sin off and closed the door.

He then walked and repeated the same thing to other doors.

He expected people to treat him well and yet they didn't.

I guess this was to be expected, After all... he was from a family of sinners.

It was in his name as well.

Edgar Sin Mourningstar.

He was a Sin in itself, yet He still clung onto his Humanity as much as he could.

I should continue the invitations...

He thought as he then found himself in front of a bakery where there used to be a house.

The house had a simple design in Sin's mind. it was the last place where his childhood friend Victor was before the house burned down.

Now all that was left of the house is gone as It's now a bakery.

He walked towards the bakery and entered.

"I see.. I'll have the usual Ma'am." He said as the woman there who knew Sin to be a regular quickly smiled and then gave him his order.

"Here you go Edgar!" She was the only one to ever use that name.

Kill....

His urges were attacking him but he fought back as he grabbed the baked goods he ordered.

"Thank you..." He quietly said as he then left.

'Trust no one in this world.' Is what Edgar Sin Mourningstar has been taught from the beginning of his life.

His mother wasn't around all the time and his father was busy with church.

Sin wanted to live a normal life and yet, Normality was far from what he could get.

He walked holding the paper bag of baked goods.

Each piece smelled and looked delicious.

When he saw two children who were sitting alone in an alleyway, He approached them and placed the paper bag on the ground.

"Here, Feed your little sister okay?" He said to the older sister as she began crying.

"T-T-Thank you... You have no idea how much this means to us!" She smiled and handed her little sister a piece of bread as they ate, he smiled.

He pat the girls with gentle care as he seemed like an Angel to them saving them from hunger.

Sin then waved goodbye to the girls and left.

He began making his way to the church and there he heard it.

His parents were arguing again.

He looked at the clock and sighed.

Why am I hesitating?

What do you stand for Sin?

Are you not going to kill?

Kill... Kill.... Killl...

This is who you are.

"No." He simply fought his desires to kill as he then entered.

"I'm done with you!" Sin's mom was a famous scholar and had always been busy with her research on astromancy.

"You don't have a right!" He said as he was about to hit her as Sin interrupted them.

"Enough." Sin spoke quietly as they looked at him. Their eyes widened at their son who looked like he could die at any moment.

He was mentally and physically drained.

"Please... Just stop fighting." He said as suddenly.

Kill.

His desires were catching up to him.

Ever since Sin was a kid, He had something deep inside him.

Another him.

A person who knows of no remorse and nothing but killing.

This was the true nature of the man named Edgar Sin Mourningstar.

As the hour drew nearer, They suddenly hear a commotion from outside.

"That must be the people that came for the nightly pray-" Sin's father said as suddenly.

It was what could be described as a Pandemonium.

People raging with fire in their hands and even weapons ready to raid the church as they screamed.

"Sinners! Get out!" They kept repeating the line.

No one but Sin at the time knew that the person they wanted was Sin not anyone else.

"We need to go." Sin's mom said as he shook his head.

I'll get rid of them, I'll show them the true S I N

Sin felt himself being overtaken by his desires, as he screamed in pain.

When his Father tried to calm him down...

Bang!

A gun shot was heard as Sin shot his father in the head.

"Kill..." He said as he was now the Sinner the townspeople were after.

Sin might seem like an Angel to some, but in this very moment... Sin was nothing but the Devil himself.

"What's that? Sinner's get out? Sure thing!" Sin got out as he pulled out a hilt holding nothing.

Using his mana, Sin created a whip and then ran at them and pushed the towns folk away.

People would think he wasn't hurting them but in truth.

He was killing them.

Sin was born abnormal with the ability of stealing the mana of people who made contact with his mana weapons.

The lesser mana the person have the weaker they become and the closer they are to death's door.

His whip turned to a mace, then a scythe, and then into a sword.

He killed every single person as he laughed in the bloodshed.

As suddenly....

His desires disappeared as he returned to normal.

When he realized what he had done... Sin simply stood there as rain droplets began to fall.

"Ah right... It rains..." He muttered as he then looked around him.

Tears began falling down his face and onto the ground as it continued to rain.

Sin was tired and wanted this to end.

As he heard.

"Simulation Restarting." And there, He found himself restarting the day again.

Sin realized he has to relive the same day over and over.

And could only help but mutter.

"Someone... Help me.."

Sin was desperate for help, and yet no response came...

As he relived the exact same events.

when it was time for the night of the attack.

"I accept it." He said as he realized what he had to do.

He held the gun and shot his father once again.

Sin then says.

"I killed my own dad, Not my desires. It was me." He said as He seemed to accept the harsh truth that was hidden from him.

"And if i had a choice, I'd do it. over and over and over." He said as he suddenly heard it.

"Simulation Ending."

It was finally over.

His torment, everything he had gone through... That insane loop of repeating the same day was over.

"I think I'll be fine." He said as he then looked at Emi who seemed to be crying stuck in her own Simulation.

"I should help her.." He said while looking at the girl who seemed helpless.
