An elegant woman with several purple tendrils floating above her shoulders sat calmly on an elegantly jewelled throne. Her hands lay in her lap as she gripped the fabric of her silken dress tightly while covertly peeking at the expressions around her.
It wasn't until the loud voices surrounding them faded that the kneeling man in the centre of the large room spoke. His posture was sharp, lest for the slight tremble in his shoulders each time the woman's eyes met his.
"Lord Vladik, Lady Verna. I come with news of Princess Zara."
Beside her sat the male who took centre stage of this throne room. His name was Valek, and he is the husband of Verna, the purple Djinn. The only daughter of the prestigious Balthazar clan.
