Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: Too many men around.

I didn't want to die any time soon. No thank you, the men on the roof were still chattered away like lady birds, noticing they hadn't even moved an inch at all, that worried me even more.

Sensing that they were indeed watching us from their posts, waiting for an early opportunity to unfold themselves, either from me or from this party second party of men. I

was guessing the latter, I didn't really want to know, biting the inside of my cheek, feeling a bit indecisive, doing what?" or doing what to who now!" I didn't really have any of the answers on me, just yet."

Wanting to see if any of them would make the first move, who was the first piece on a chess board" or leave them to their own devices instead, "maybe then, I'll have some sort of idea.

"Decisions... Decisions, "what would you do in my position?" properly not a lot at the moment, am I right?" we all looked at each other, all of us watching with intense, interest as the men in question came into my view.

"One of the spells was my disappearing shield. "A spell that Yahweh had taught me from day one, when I was a little girl, guessing the old man just wanted me to stay safe after all. "Well, kind of," he would have laughed, only if

he could see what a predicament, I've gotten myself into now, searching to find the five men now shouting and screaming to each other.

It sure was a babble of long words, ones I didn't quite understand, and it was due to them all being drunk of their rockers. It was only a matter of time until they were only a few feet away from me. I ripped one of my plugs from my ears, my other headphone dangled in between my dainty hand, tucking the one half in my bra of my leather corset for safety keeping... "OOH... this should be good," I muttered, coyly.

"It's now or never, I sang out in a high-pitched tone," pulling myself together at last, listening to my music in my opposite ear, it gave me a little reassurance, walking out of my hiding space and into the view was not the easiest thing to do even in front of all seven men, who were now watching my every move.

Slowly, I walked up towards the five men, thinking it would be better to walk straight past them, basically I was trying to ignore them, but they were making my life difficult, there were just too many of them. "An arm shot out of nowhere, grabbing me at the last moment.

"YES... Looking up at the man in question, frowning, noting that one of the men had stopped me dead in my tracks. I only wanted to walk by but my heart was hammering, pounding against my ribs, it was really that bad," thought I was going to pass out with a panic attack.

"What can or I can't do for you lads?" replying in a dry, sarcastic tone, "Lovely lady want some fun?" the voice asked me, laughing. Flashing me his dirty black mouldy, rotten teeth. I cringed at his vulgar words, was this really what I had to attend with tonight, I thought, I didn't find him amusing at all.

Looking around, listening to these men as they scrambled in a circle around me, another of his mate's sighed, not amused with his friend. I couldn't blame him had he shouted to his friend, come on my friend, let's get you home and sobered up?" or you're going to regret everything tonight and tomorrow!" I waited, hoping he would let go of me at his friend's advice.

But I knew he had no intension of doing so, he was to drunk and I could tell by the look in his eyes he was too far gone because he looked me over.

WHY, he sneered at me, don't you ask her, he pointed, puffing out, large amounts of wind through his smelly teeth, I was really cheesed off with my night already... "NO, thank you," I replied, Now, would you please release me?

I would like to head on home some time l tonight." raising my brow in challenge, returning a smile, letting him know that I was serious, that I had no interest in going anywhere with him or anyone of them.

'OH, such a bore," the third one muttered right next to me... "OH, for gods sakes…" Now I'm having two of them moaning and groaning over me. "A pretty thing like you shouldn't be walking home alone?" he muttered, Funny you should say that!" because I'm not quite alone, you see someone else also told me the exact same thing earlier."

I leaned over towards them in an awkward position, smirking at them all, trying to hide my small, but threatening overloaded body. "It's not safe out there any time of night, I whispered, to him, noticing the one that had talked him down had a wedding band on his left finger, guessing this one was the married man I had read from earlier in my visions.

Then another man, replied, not even listening to a word I had just said. snorting at him in amusement. "Wouldn't it amuse them if they only knew how much I really could defend myself," I thought. Look, "I'm going to be fine young man," I muttered the words very slowly for them to hear, I'm quite all right at defending myself," I winked, showing him a flash of my knifes, watching the young man gulp, at the sudden realisation of what I was wearing.

Now, if you would, please release my arm. Then I can go right on my merry way, I replied, still smiling, I couldn't help grinding my teeth together, watching their faces change to one of disgust and disappointment. I kept smiling, snatching my arm free from his dirty grasp, feeling him shake with horror at the sight of my knifes.

"Now, I repeated, if you would all excuse me, "I must get going." I have a job to do myself, I said, removing the smile of my face, backing away from the lot of them, slowly, as they watched me leave and walk away once again tonight. I Turned, very slowly away from them, I didn't want to frighten them anymore than I had too, but then they started to follow after me, I groaned, so I did the one thing I promised myself I wasn't going to do, ever, I ran away again for the second tome tonight, I couldn't help but laugh at my own stupidly.

I knew the odds were stacked against me, but I was running on fumes again anyway, and it was all because, a second wave of men were chasing after me and it was all happening in just one night, I just couldn't believe my luck, I think it was running out on me, so I did the next cowardly thing.

I whispered a spell under my breath, finely shielding myself, my spell responding in a wearied way as I started to disappear from view once more, my spell flashing in and out, I frowned, puzzled to why my spell was reacting this way, all I could do was peg it down the road, deep in thought, my long legs keeping pace with me and taking me away from the lot of them.

My heart in my hands, pounding out, once again, my shadow kept running past me as it slid up the wall, watching it as it moved with me, I was really festinated with these things, was it possible to out run your own shadow, properly not, but could I possibly out run these men with the strange colourful wings, hearing as they snapped open, praying they wouldn't catch up to me.

I stood back, watching them all from a distance, listening to them all talk like they were all old friends with each other. "But I knew better, this little minx was trouble beginning with a capital, T, making everything even more intriguing to watch, but it was something I couldn't ignore for much longer.

She was maybe in trouble and I wanted to be there to help with this wicked, woman, she was maybe the most alluring person I've ever met, listening to their conversation, it made me a bit jealous of their attention with her, but still I smiled anyway, I didn't want to give myself a way to my friend, Cody, turning to get a better look at her in her new form.

I mean come on, the women was hot, and I mean scolding, the first thing I noticed though, was her eyes, they were multi-coloured, with a frown sporting her pretty face. I didn't know what she was, or who she was.

but I sure do want to know the woman, now, I felt empowered to find out everything I could, feeling the odd whoosh of power emanating from her was like a power battery charger, and oddly enough, she lit the sky up like a damn Christmas tree.
