Chapter 87 - Chapter 86: Agito

Ryuga laughed and teased, "Woz, aren't you supposed to be your Demon King's encyclopedia and human tool? How do you not know that Agito is actually a chef who runs a restaurant?"

Woz huffed. "Tool? Encyclopedia? That's too much!"

"So Agito really is connected to this restaurant?" Sougo's eyes lit up. He dashed outside, dragging Gates and Ryuga along in excitement.

Ryuga glanced around the room. There wasn't much left for him to do, so he casually reached toward Tsukuyomi—still unconscious—and grabbed the tablet resting beneath her.

It was the same model as Ora's. Both were futuristic tech from another timeline. Ryuga and Ora had used theirs to catch up on dramas across time periods. Should he...?

He tried activating it—and it worked.

So, without guilt, Ryuga walked to a locker labeled with Tsukuyomi's name, opened it, and took out a few bags of potato chips and a bottle of soda—Fat House Happy Water.

In Chao Nine Nights and Five Halls, only Tsukuyomi loved eating this kind of junk food. She usually waited until no one was around and snacked in secret. Ryuga had stumbled upon her little habit more than once and knew exactly where she stashed her goods.

Despite having daily feasts—meats, fruits, desserts prepared by her uncle—she still devoured snacks like this. No wonder she evolved from "Tsukuyomi" to "Tsukufat"...

"I'm doing you a favor," Ryuga declared righteously. "Before your waist expands any further, I'll help dispose of this junk food!"

Meanwhile, Sougo and his group arrived at the Agito Restaurant.

"Welcome!" greeted a smiling woman. It was Kazaya Mana, Agito's companion and manager of the restaurant.

"Hello, I'm Tokiwa Shōgo. Is Kamen Rider Agito here?" Sougo asked, a little too directly.

Mana blinked in surprise. "Huh?"

Gates quickly pulled Sougo aside and whispered, "Don't be so blunt!"

Sougo scratched his head. "Really?"

Before he could reformulate his question, Mana interrupted with a smile. "Shoichi is currently studying abroad. He's not in Japan."

She had seen enough to stop Sougo from blurting out, "I want to be the demon king, so I must meet Agito!"

As a latent Agito herself, Mana possessed numerous powers—clairvoyance, mind reading, truth perception, precognition, healing, even resurrection. Her abilities were shockingly vast.

"Understood. Sorry to bother you," Sougo bowed politely and left with Gates and Ryuga.

Jingle bell~

Just as the trio walked out the door, Mana's phone rang.

"Hello, this is Agito Restaurant!"

"Shoichi?! You're back?!"

While Sougo and the others debated flying the Time Mazine overseas, several another Agito-like monsters emerged and surrounded them.

At the same moment, Tsugami Shoichi—Kamen Rider Agito—finished his call and used his heightened senses to detect these hostile mutations, products of Swartz's dark manipulation.

With calm footsteps and the familiar transformation chime, Kamen Rider Agito made his entrance.

"Henshin!" Shoichi's movements were swift, transforming mid-stride into Agito just as he passed an enemy.

"Kamen Rider Agito, you've finally appeared!" Swartz sneered. "The power of Agito must be mine!"

Agito's power was, in essence, a diluted divine force—a latent evolution within humans, granting limitless potential. Swartz clearly intended to exploit it.

After a brief skirmish, another Agito realized he was outmatched and summoned a horde of proliferated monsters to gang up on Shoichi.

Shoichi calmly transitioned between his forms:

Ground Form (Gold)Storm Form (Blue) with the Storm HalberdFlame Form (Red) wielding the Flame Saber

Each shift obliterated more enemies with ease.

Soon, only the another Agito remained, frozen in fear.

"Useless!" Swartz spat and prepared to intervene—until Heure stepped in.

"One more move, and you'll regret it," Heure warned casually.

Swartz lowered his hand with a smirk. "Let's see what you can do."

"See? You can't do anything without me," Heure sniped.

Swartz rolled his eyes. Who gave this tool-man such confidence?

Just then, Sougo and his group arrived, quietly observing.

Didn't Heure just get screwed over by Swartz? Why is he still helping him? Is he a masochist?

Without wasting time, Heure drew out a blank Ride Watch and absorbed Shoichi's power—who was temporarily frozen by Shi's time stop—and created a Rider Watch.

[Agito!]

"He made a normal Rider Watch?!" Sougo exclaimed.

"Of course. If you can make a dark version, you can make a normal one too. What's so shocking?" Gates retorted.

"Without it, Tokiwa Sougo can't become the Demon King, right?" Heure smirked as he stuffed the Agito Watch into the another Agito.

[Agito!]

In a flash, the alien Agito became a legitimate Agito, stunning everyone.

"I'll take it from here," Heure said and vanished with his new weapon.

Swartz scoffed. "Let's see what you can do." And left as well.

Time resumed.

Shoichi, weakened from the power drain, collapsed. Sougo rushed to his side and supported him back to the 9-5 Do.

"Another patient?!" Ryuga laughed as he ate with Ora's uncle.

Sougo, stomach growling as he watched Ryuga feast, asked bitterly, "Is there anything you don't know, Ryuga?"

"Plenty. Like how you still think Tier 3's ugly form looks good," Ryuga replied bluntly.

Gates and Woz nodded in agreement.

"Turning us into your weapon to make that form? Absolutely ridiculous!"

Sougo: "…"

The others laughed as Sougo sulked. Meanwhile, Shoichi, now resting, complimented Sougo's uncle on his cooking.

Shoichi's praise made the uncle so giddy he nearly forgot he used to run a watch shop.

Later, Tsukuyomi regained consciousness. Learning she had amnesia, Shoichi comforted her—understanding all too well what she was going through.

Meanwhile, Ryuga slung an arm around Gates' shoulder and pulled him aside.

Sougo instantly turned to stare at them, suspicious.

Ah, Kamen Rider really is a "bromance" series. The second male lead is always the real heroine!

Ignoring Sougo's glare, Ryuga whispered, "Young man… you're hopeless."

Gates: "???"

"What happened? Why did you just insult me out of nowhere?" Gates asked, bewildered.

"You idiot!" Ryuga sighed. "This was your chance to comfort Tsukuyomi! Instead, you just let Shoichi swoop in?"

"I-I didn't—That's not—Don't make things up!" Gates stammered, face red.

"I didn't even say anything, and you're already panicking?" Ryuga scoffed. "Just admit it—you've got feelings!"

Clearly, your reaction when Tsukuyomi was "kidnapped" in the theater version wasn't for nothing. Stop pretending, Gates. The audience already knows the truth.
