Chapter 85 - Chapter 84: Trinity

A mysterious Tier 3 Zi-O Watch—origin unknown—suddenly flew into Sougo's hand on its own. As it landed, radiant energy surrounded the trio. The dim aura cloaking them faded gradually.

"It feels... great!" Sougo smiled and eagerly pressed the button on the new watch.

[Zi-O Trinity!]

A streak of light shot through the gloomy sky. It flared brightly, piercing the dark clouds. In its place, only a lone glowing statue remained in the heavens.

"Wait, that's..." Gates squinted skyward.

"Alter Star!" said Ryuga.

"..." Woz remained silent.

"That's Xuanyuan Fourteen!" Woz finally identified it, watching the blazing celestial body. "Seriously, do they think we haven't seen Ultraman?"

Also known as Alpha Leo, Xuanyuan Fourteen was a symbol of compassion, wisdom, and royalty. People revered it as the Emperor's Star, the King's Star—a fitting representation of Sougo's character.

The so-called Day of Encountering Demons was, in fact, the brightest day for Xuanyuan Fourteen. However, due to unforeseen distortions in the timeline, this sacred day had arrived prematurely.

Today had become a day for devils.

[Zi-O!]

[Geiz!]

[Woz!]

Sougo, eager to try Bandai's latest "equipment," strapped the watch onto his belt and turned the dial twice. Xuanyuan Fourteen shimmered again—this time shedding two more stars. They descended upon Gates and Woz, bathing them in brilliant light.

[Rider Time!]

[Kamen Rider Zi-O!]

[Trinity Time!]

[The Power of Three!]

[Kamen Rider Zi-O! Geiz! Woz!]

[Tri-ni-ty~]

[Trinity!]

In a dazzling fusion, Gates and Woz transformed into watch forms and attached themselves to Sougo's arms. The Zi-O faceplate slid from the belt up to his chest, revealing a new helmet crowned by a unique visage—the Trinity Face, bearing the likenesses of all three Riders.

Zi-O Trinity was now complete.

This third-tier form of the King of Time bore four distinct visages:

Woz's face on the left shoulderGeiz's face on the right shoulderZi-O's face on the chestAnd the Trinity face atop the helmet

It was reminiscent of Kamen Rider Den-O's Climax Form, where multiple personalities shared a single body. Except now, the riders weren't just sharing a body—they were sharing a fashion crisis.

"Damn, this form looks awful!" Ryuga scowled, instantly regretting handing over the watches. He shot a disgusted look at Sougo—now styled like an armored totem pole—and walked away. "I'm going home. I'd rather keep my appetite for dinner."

"Wow, I feel... amazing!" Sougo marveled at his transformation.

"What is this abomination?!" Gates winced, visibly uncomfortable.

"Fusion?! Us? Together?" Woz blinked in disbelief. "Incredible!"

"More like unforgivable," Gates grumbled.

"No matter how ugly it is..." Woz tried to recover. "We must first celebrate, Your Majesty!"

"Congratulations!" he announced. "This is the probably, possibly, maybe legendary Kamen Rider who may one day forge the future!"

Even Woz didn't sound confident—his voice stumbled over qualifiers.

"He's finally reached Tier 3—the Trinity of Kings!"

"This must be the beginning of a new chapter in history!"

The battle that followed was less important than the power itself. Zi-O Trinity could simultaneously wield all three riders' weapons.

"Gates, Woz, let's attack together!"

"Right!"

"Understood!"

[Finish Time!]

[Zi-O! Geiz! Woz!]

[Trinity!]

[Time Break! Burst! Explosion!]

Triple-Time Smash: Blasting Burst Kick!

An explosively long-named finisher—classic.

With one devastating strike, the Another Blade was obliterated. Its corrupted Rider Watch shattered, the statue overhead vanished, and the Undead within disintegrated to ash.

The battle ended with two Rider Watches—Blade and Chalice—falling at Sougo's feet.

Soon after, Kenzaki and Aikawa, having lain unconscious throughout, dusted themselves off and departed with Kurihara Tenon, all smiles.

Just as Sougo and his team prepared to leave, Daiki Kaito popped out of nowhere, clutching the Future Notebook.

"Ugh, you again?!" Sougo flinched.

"Wait, isn't that Ora's notebook?" Woz pointed to it suspiciously.

"Oh, that?" Daiki smirked. "Your friend Ryuga traded me this little gem in exchange for that watch."

"Brother Ryuga..." Sougo's expression turned soft. He didn't realize how much was sacrificed. He was grateful—although he didn't know this 'precious' notebook was practically useless to both Ryuga and Ora.

"What's your angle now?" Gates stepped forward, guarded.

"Relax. I'm just here to deliver a message." Daiki waved his hand and summoned a Dimensional Wall.

Now, the Dimensional Wall wasn't typically a standard ability for Decade-class Riders. It was originally from Kodaya Sayo, Tsukasa's sister. How Daiki got it? Let's not speculate...

No one stepped out of the wall—but instead, a visual transmission appeared. It showed the Old Demon King—his back turned, arms behind him.

"You've obtained the Blade Watch, haven't you, younger me?" He turned toward the screen, clearly already aware of what had transpired.

This wasn't a live feed from Woz—he'd been too busy playing human Voltron moments ago. The Old Demon King knew everything not from memory, but from an even more terrifying ability.

He could project his consciousness across parallel timelines and alternate time axes, allowing him to observe his past selves in real time.

Every move Sougo made—every hesitation, every ambition—was already being monitored.

Meanwhile, Sougo, still not fully awakened as the Demon King, couldn't return the favor. He had no idea what the Old King was plotting.

The poor fool kept thinking he could change history—yet everything he did was already accounted for.

"Agito, Kiva, Drive, Kabuto, Hibiki, and Den-O. Once you've collected these, you'll be on your way to ruling time itself." The Old Demon waved his hand, showing holographic representations of the six missing watches.

The video ended.

He really had just called... to congratulate Sougo? Across time? That was it?

Even Daiki looked baffled. "Seriously? You made me run all the way here just for that?"

Still, the words rattled Sougo. He felt that gap in strength. He knew he was still far from rivaling the Old Demon King.

So, he decided: focus on collecting the watches.

Later, back at the 9 5 Do Dormitory, during a quiet conversation over snacks—

"But how do I find the watches?" Sougo sighed. "Every one so far has come by sheer luck."

"This isn't luck, Your Majesty," Woz corrected, raising a finger. "This is destiny!"

"As long as you continue your path, the watches will come to you naturally."

"Oh really? Are the watches going to grow legs and walk over?" Gates rolled his eyes.

"Not the watches—but Swartz has legs~" Ryuga appeared behind Gates and patted him on the shoulder.

"AHH!" Gates screamed and collapsed, startled.

"Come on, Gates... don't be such a coward," Sougo muttered as Gates scrambled back to his feet using the corner of the table.

"Gates is always like this!" Tsukuyomi laughed.

"Who said that?!" Gates shouted, flustered.
