(3rd Person Pov)
In the field behind the Pokemon center in Viridian city, under a tree and beside a river stood a young boy with black and white messy hair, around him were pokemon of different kinds.
Beside him was a larger then normal Bulbasaur, A Horsea was splashing around in the water, A pidgey was sitting on the blanket the boy had placed on the ground, A pikachu sat next to it eating food together.
The boy was holding a weedle in his arms as a Caterpie looked up at the boy and the Weedle, This was Oliver and his current pokemon team.
(Oliver pov)
"Weedle you need to stand up for yourself a bit more, you can't let caterpie keep bullying you" I said to Weedle as I sat him down next to a bowl of basic pokemon food, Which is a pokemon food all pokemon can eat.
The food doesn't do anything special for them, "Here you can eat this too" I said to Caterpie as I pick him up and place him to his own bowl of food, of which he starts eating immediately.
As I sat there watching all of my pokemon eating their food or just playing, I couldn't help but smile. 'Who knew life would ever be like this' I thought as I watched them as I feel something fluffy rub against my back
"Eeeee" a softer voice I heard from behind me said as I recognize what this thing rubbing against my back was an Eevee, Looking down at it I put my hand out as it rub against my hand "My my aren't you a cute fella."
I Pet the eevee who happily pushed its head into my hand, "Here little fella" I say as I grab out a bit of pokemon food and it ate out of my hand.
"Are you someone's pokemon or are you a wild fella" I ask Eevee who happily nodded his head at the first option as i sigh, "Thats unfortunate, but we best find your trainer" I say as I stand up from my spot as I look at my pokemon that are mostly now playing.
Bulbasaur was playing with Weedle, Caterpie was laying on the blanket, Pidgey and Horsea were playing, Pikachu was still munching away on his food.
Eevee Suddenly made a loud "Eeeee" as she runs off in a direction, "Well Well Well if it isn't Oli-boy" I hear a familiar voice come from the direction I saw, Turning around I saw someone familiar,
"Sup Gary, I thought you'd be gone by now, You know gotta beat Ash and I" I say to Gary as I walk over to him and I go for a dap up, which he reciprocated.
"Yeah I was gonna Leave but I saw you and Ashy-Boi arrive in town, thought I'd show off this little fella" Gary said as he picked up eevee and put it on his shoulder.
"Speaking of the little fella, where'd you get him from" I asked as I reached over and pet it on it's head. "Hahaha Dad gave me it and a few other things as a congratulations gift for beginning my journey." he told me as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a little Baggie.
"Dad gave me a whole bunch of pokleballs and Eevee" Gary said as he put the bag back in his pocket, "He also wanted me to let you know he'd like to see you go by the gym" Gary said not in his normal Snarky tone.
"He want's me to visit the gym what for?" I asked him, Gary's Father in this univers Is the gym leader of Viridian City, he's the legendary Blue Oak, the rival from the Red/Blue Games. And unlike the games he is not professor Oak's Grandson, he's just his Son. So I guess Blue is Canon, so must Red be too.
"I have no clue, but you did know the three of our fathers all set out on our journey at the same time, Right" Gary said as he returned Eevee to it's pokeball. That's right Gary's, Ash's, and my Father all began their adventures around the same time My father told me about that in the past.
Ash's father from what I can tell from this, Must be Red, it would explain why he isn't around so often. "Yeah my dad did say something like that, Well I'll go see your dad now, so I'll see you around." I say to Gary as I return my pokemon to their pokeballs.
"Yeah I'll by seeing you around maybe, just know I'll be the first to complete the gym Circuit" Gary said as He picked up eevee and walked off.
"Whatever you say Gary, I'll beat you in the conference then" I say as I begin my walk out of the wild area back into the front area. Nurse Joy waving as I walk by, so I wave back as well flashing her a smile.
'Now to get to Viridian city gym'I think to myself as i start walking down the road, viridian city while small in the games is quite huge in real life.
(3rd person Pov)
As Oliver walked down the road he passed many people, but as he walked down the street he saw more and more people running from a certain direction.
"I wonder what there running from" Oliver said outloud as he walked faster towards where the people are running from. After a few more minutes he sees a large building that has a sign that says "Viridian City Gym".
Standing outside the building were 3 men in team rocket uniforms, and they were standing across from 2 people "Ash and Misty" Oliver said as he notices Ash grabs out a pokeball as he releases Magikarp.
Misty shortly followed suit sending out a staryu, as the three team rocket grunts threw out 3 Zubat's, Oliver walks over as he grabs a pokeball off his waste "Really a 3v2, I guess i can help out" he said as Misty and Ash turned around. "Oliver, these guys are trying to take over the gym, I was told to come here by Gary, what are you doing here" Ash says/asks in quick succession as the grunts glare at Oliver.
"Hmph we can beat a couple brats who are still wet behind the ear" One of them said, as Oliver sneered "Hmph sure buddy, Go caterpie" Oliver said as he released a seemingly angry Caterpie.
The three grunts seeing this start to laugh, Misty visibly recoils in disgust seeing the Caterpie. "Are we gonna battle or what" Oliver asked as Ash and Misty both nodded as the two called out the same move "Magikarp/Staryu use water gun" As the two pokemon sprayed the Zubat's out of the sky.
"Caterpie just listen to me, Use string shot and wrap the Zubat up in string and then slam it into the ground" Oliver commanded as Caterpie nodded as it unleashed string from it's mouth, The Zubat flies out of the way.
"Haha a stupid little bug, Zubat gobble it up, use wing attack" The team, rocket grunt commanded as the zubat flies at Caterpie with high speeds.
"Jokes on you Caterpie use Electro Web and catch the Zubat out of the air" Oliver commanded as Caterpie charges up an electrified web as it flies at the Zubat approaching it, The web wrapping around the Zubat stopping the Wing attack.
The Zubat in the net falls right in front of the caterpie, as the net disappears. Caterpie looking a little tired doesn't realise that the zubat never fell unconscious.
"Stupid Bug, Zubat use Bite" The team rocket grunt commanded as the Zubat slightly injured bites into Caterpie, "Crap Caterpie," Oliver screams out as caterpie screams out.
Suddenly Caterpie starts glowing as the evolution light starts filling up the road they were fighting in, after a moment the caterpie that used to be there is now a sturdy looking Metapod.
Everyone around looks a little surprised while Ash smiles "Oliver your caterpie evolved." Ash said as he held his magikarp in his arms, as Pikachu also gave a thumbs up. "Yeah I know, Now let's win this Metapod" Oliver said confidently.
