According to what Fable knew, Jesus never met the Demon King, Aurora, again after that. When Jesus died, his soul went to heaven, where he stayed for countless years in peace. But ages later, when Aurora betrayed the Star Constellations and started an all-out war against them—falling from grace and becoming a fallen constellation himself—everything changed.
Jesus, being one of the few who had been close to Aurora, was taken into custody by the higher angels. He was locked away inside Level 3 Prison. Yet even there, he never tried to escape. He lived quietly for centuries, never complaining, never demanding anything, and most importantly—he never spoke a single word about Aurora.
Now, inside that very same prison, He looked at the girl standing before him—Esdeath—and tilted his head slightly. "You… are you relative of Aurora?" he asked softly.
The question caught Esdeath off guard so much that her lips twitched slightly. For a moment, she almost denied it, but then decided to nod. "Yes," she said firmly.
Given Jesus's gentle and kind nature, she knew he would have helped her no matter who she was. But pretending to be related to Aurora might earn her a little more trust—and affection—and that was something she could use.
Jesus smiled faintly, his gaze turning distant for a moment. "So… Jeanne actually managed to survive, huh?" he murmured quietly to himself. Then, with a soft smile, he reached out and gently patted Esdeath's head.
"What's your name?" he asked kindly.
"Esdeath," she replied calmly, her eyes meeting his.
"You've got his eyes," Jesus said, smiling warmly. But as the words left his mouth, his smile slowly faded. His expression changed, as if he had just remembered where they were—inside a prison.
A faint line appeared between his brows.
What was this girl doing here?
Before he could even ask, Esdeath began to explain everything in her own way—half lie and half lies, With just mix truth.
She told him about her death on the battlefield during the war between M.A.L.I.C.E and the Dwarf Kingdom.
She said she died as an honorable warrior, fighting bravely until the very end. But instead of being sent to heaven, she ended up here. She claimed it was because of her connection to the Demon King—that the angels had discriminated against her and locked her away unjustly.
And how she explained that she must escape from here as soon as possible.
Jesus listened quietly, his expression unreadable. When she finished speaking, he sighed softly, disappointment flickering in his eyes. "Is that so…" he murmured, sounding a little sad.
Esdeath, however, could tell from his tone that he believed her—or at least didn't doubt her words too much. "My explanation seems to have worked," she thought with a small spark of relief.
She quickly changed the topic before he could ask more questions. "Where's Uncle Buddha?" she asked suddenly.
There were only three people who had ever been locked up in Level 3 Prison—Jesus, Buddha, and Jeanne D'Arc.
Jesus smiled faintly, his eyes softening at the mention of the name. "He chose to reincarnate," he said gently. "He was always a peaceful soul—never one to worry too much about anything. So it wasn't surprising to hear that he decided to move on and live another life."
Esdeath let out a quiet sigh. "What a pity," she said softly.
She couldn't help but feel that things would've been easier if Buddha was here.
"So, when are we going to escape?" Esdeath asked.
"If you say now, then now," Jesus replied, his voice calm and filled with confidence.
"Okay then, let's go!" Esdeath declared, pushing herself to her feet. The world swayed for a moment as her balance felt slightly dull in the intense darkness that pressed in on them.
Jesus stood up as well, his movements fluid and sure. He reached out and took Esdeath's hand, his grip warm and steady. "But do you know how you are going to get a body?" he asked gently.
"No need to worry about that," Esdeath said, her mind already racing ahead. "First, I need you to take me to heaven. There's still someone I have to take with me!"
Jesus didn't ask any further questions, simply accepting her words. He kept his firm hold on her hand and led her toward the locked door. To Esdeath, the darkness was absolute, a suffocating black void, but for Jesus, it was as clear as daylight.
But before he could do anything, a question that had been burning inside Esdeath finally came out. "Can I ask something?" she began, her voice softer now. "Why did you never try to escape up until now?"
Jesus paused, his head tilting slightly as he considered her question. After a second of thought, he answered simply, "Because I never had a reason to."
Saying this, he gently placed his palm on the locked door. Then—BAM!
A massive blast erupted from his hand, not just blowing the door off its hinges but blasting the very walls apart. It created a huge, gaping entrance into the next area. This was no ordinary room; even an S-rank warrior in their original body would have struggled to make a single dent. Yet here he was, obliterating the entrance with just his palm, and he was only in his spirit body.
Esdeath and Jesus walked out. Jesus looked at the destruction he had caused. Many angels lay on the ground, groaning in pain from the shockwave, their wings bent at odd angles.
"Thou shall heal," he said softly, his voice a gentle command.
The very next second, a wave of warm, golden light washed over the injured angels. Their wounds closed, their moans ceased, and they were sent into a peaceful, unconscious slumber. Even the room and walls he had destroyed repaired themselves, the stone flowing back into place as if nothing had ever happened.
Esdeath looked up. They were in a place that looked like the bottom of a colossal, towering building. To get out, they would have to go all the way to the top. But there were just too many trials and difficulties in their path. By the time they got past all the trials, the high-ranking angels would surely have arrived.
"How are we going to escape?" Esdeath asked, a feeling of despair creeping in.
"There's no need," Jesus replied with a small, knowing smile. "The higher we are the closer we are to exit of heaven and The lower we are, the closer we are to heaven. So, we just need to go down instead!"

Meanwhile, at the very same time in heaven, a large-scale massacre was unfolding. Fable was a blur of motion, killing everyone in sight and absorbing their souls to grow stronger.
Her speed and strength were far beyond any of the residents of heaven; they were being butchered one by one, their screams lost in the chaos. She swung her scythe in wide, deadly circles, cutting through them like a hot knife through butter, continuing her rampage without mercy.
From the outside, it might have looked like she was attacking blindly, but she was actually moving with a clear purpose. Her destination was the outskirts of heaven, where she planned to reunite with Esdeath while growing her strength at the same time.
But the lesser angels wouldn't just sit around and see how fable slaughtered. A huge group of them immediately flew over, tracking Fable with burning rage.
Their large, vertical eyes shone with a brilliant light as they shot out beam after beam of pure energy. Fable moved like a phantom, jumping and sidestepping to avoid the searing blasts that melted the ground where she had just stood. She tried to use her skill to slow down time, but it didn't work.
"Well, that was expected," Fable laughed, a wild, exhilarated sound. "But I don't need any skills to defeat them!"
Fable launched herself high into the air, her scythe a red arc of death as she sliced through the angels, cutting them clean in half.
She was relentless, using their falling bodies as platforms, jumping from one to another to kill even more. But she didn't waste much time there. She immediately sprinted toward her destination, a whirlwind of destruction, killing as many as she could along the way.
Although she didn't gain any extra lifespan from the slaughter, her body felt even lighter and stronger, so much so that she started crashing through the heavenly walls and destroying them with ease.

Meanwhile, the reports of the chaos finally reached the angels. "An evil soul has infiltrated heaven and is killing everyone? How is that even possible?" a high-ranking angel, Gabriel, demanded, rising to his feet in a state of shock. He stared at the messenger angel, his expression one of pure disbelief. But before he could make any decisions, another angel stumbled in, delivering an even more terrifying message.
"Jesus has escaped from prison! He is likely trying to get out of heaven and achieve a physical body!" the messenger gasped.
Gabriel's eyes widened in horror, but he quickly forced himself to compose. "What are Raphael, Raguel, Auriel, and the others doing?" he asked, his voice tight with urgency.
"They have already left to capture him once again," the messenger replied.
"Very well then. I am going, too," Gabriel commanded. "Send all the low-ranking angels who are free at the moment to heaven city. An evil soul is still just a soul; it won't be much of a threat!" he ordered, his confidence returning as he underestimated the danger.

Down in the prison, Jesus threw a punch, creating a hole in the lower floor. Being this low on the ground would put them closer to heaven city instead of the top.
But when the hole opened, they found not a passage, but another entire floor inside it. Jesus and Esdeath quickly stepped inside and saw that the floor was completely covered in ice. But this was no ordinary ice.
"Soul Pacifying Ice!" Jesus and Esdeath muttered at the exact same time, a shared sense of dread passing between them.
It was a Rank S material, often used in refining Rank A or Divine Rank Essence stones for those who followed the ice path. But unlike the 'pacifying' in its name, its work was completely opposite. Even a single touch could freeze a person's soul, numbing them for eternity and trapping them in one place. It seemed the angels had already expected someone might try to escape from the lower side and had made preparations. To escape from there, one needed to pass over this deadly ice.
Jesus didn't waste a second. He immediately scooped Esdeath into his arms and jumped onto the ice. A tremor ran through his legs as the soul-chilling cold tried to seep into him, but he held on with sheer willpower.
One step a second.
It was agonizingly slow, but for anyone else, even standing on this ice was an unimaginable feat. After dozens of tense seconds, he finally arrived at the other corner, where the ground was clear of the Soul Pacifying Ice.
BAM!
With a single punch, he smashed open the entrance on the other side and flew out of it. Since Esdeath couldn't fly without an essence stone, Jesus simply flickered his fingers, and somehow, a gentle force lifted her, allowing her to fly without any issue. Behind them was the huge, flying building that was their prison only a moment ago.
But before they could escape anywhere, the angels had already arrived.
"Jesus, you have finally shown your true colors!" Raguel shouted, her voice full of righteous fury as she flapped her powerful wings, coming straight for them.
"Let's go, there's no point in staying!" Jesus said urgently, immediately turning around and flying towards the outskirts of heaven city.
"Why is he going towards heaven city? Is he trying to take them as hostages? Quickly, stop him!" Raphael, who was right behind Raguel, immediately shouted, her voice echoing with alarm.
Hundreds of mid-ranking angels chased them, with all the high-ranking angels at the very front.
Splash... Splash... Splash...
They shot out countless golden beams of light, the sheer number of them looking like a terrifying meteor shower was raining down from the heavens. But Jesus simply and calmly flapped his arms, and a massive, shimmering shield generated around them, blocking every single beam without any issue.
"A Genesis Soul is truly terrifying," Esdeath thought, as she wondered just how strong Jesus was supposed to be when he was at the Celestial Soul level.
Through all of this, Jesus never tried to retaliate. He only blocked their attacks, again and again, while flying at a rapid speed, still holding Esdeath securely. The speed was astonishing; even the high ranking angels were having a hard time catching up.
It's more accurate to say that he was literally teleporting.
"This Esdeath girl, she must have done something. I knew she was bad news from the start!" Raguel sighed, a deep sense of regret washing over her.

"Attack!" the lower-ranking angels shouted, throwing spears made of pure light towards Fable. They had a similar appearance to humans and the high-ranking angels, but they were certainly no match for a high ranking angels. Still, they were troublesome, and there were at least twenty of them.
Fable had already arrived at the outskirts of heaven city. Her spirit body was bulging with an overwhelming power.
Even though she had no flesh, her spirit form felt like it might explode from the sheer energy coursing through it. This was because Fable had consumed too many souls in such a short amount of time and had not yet fully digested them.
But because of this, she was also showing incredible power. Every time their attacks managed to hurt her, revealing her dark purple spirit body beneath, she would heal almost instantly.
She wasn't trying to defeat them; she was just dragging out time, buying precious seconds.
Her mind was connected to Esdeath's, and she knew that Jesus and Esdeath were coming there at any moment now.
As if the thought itself summoned them, she saw a massive wave of angels coming towards her, but most importantly, she saw Jesus and Esdeath at the very front of that wave. Fable immediately smiled in pure relief as she saw them. She gave no attention to the other angels and ran towards Esdeath with all her might.
Meanwhile, Jesus, as always, blocked their tsunami-like attacks again. Their combined power was that of a mighty army, but still, they just couldn't get past Jesus's defense.
"Truly worthy of the greatest healer," Raguel couldn't help but praise him, a grudging respect in her voice.
"He literally stopped my strongest killer move like it's nothing, and even healed me from the backlashes. How humiliating!" Auriel stomped his feet in the air out of pure frustration.
"We must stop him! He is almost at the outskirts of heaven city!" Raphael shouted with all her might.
But as they were chasing, they saw a strange scene below. There was a black-haired girl with red eyes running towards them.
"Esdeath?" Raguel was shocked. She looked at the Esdeath right beside Jesus. There was literally no difference between them.
"Although I don't know what is happening, that girl is bad news. Kill her!" Raguel ordered the mid-ranking angels to attack Fable.
Meanwhile, Esdeath also flew downwards towards Fable, shouting, "Protect us!"
"Us?" Jesus thought in confusion, but then he looked at Fable below, and his eyebrows stretched wide with surprise.
"Twins? No, there's no doubt about it. They are the same person!" It only took him a moment to realize. Immediately, Jesus flew over towards them to protect them both.
"Kill both of them!" Raphael shouted.
Raphael, Raguel, and Auriel stretched their bows, ready to shoot. Many mid-ranking angels shot their spears, while others used divine magic. The whole surroundings were filled with different killer moves and strange attacks, like someone was painting a masterpiece of destruction that was both beautiful and bizarre.
"Yama Shield!" Jesus said calmly. An enormous layer of transparent shield flew up into the air, like a giant ghost, blocking every single attack.
Meanwhile, Esdeath flew towards Fable, who was running towards her with all her might. Dozens of low-ranking angels chased them from behind.
It was as if time had slowed down. The angels tried their best, yet they failed. Fable extended her hand towards her, while Esdeath did the same. And the moment their fingers touched, a soft blue energy enveloped them, merging their souls into one.
Beforehand, they had been slowly merging, and it was almost 98% done, but they were separated again after coming to Heaven. But that didn't mean everything would have to start from the beginning.
The sync level was still the same, and now that they made contact again, their souls finally merged into one, completely. The blue energy enveloping them faded, and there was only Esdeath left.
The newly formed Esdeath had a calm expression. She ignored the chaos around her and opened her status window, using her 100,000 SP points.
<100,000 SP points used, Removing the restriction>
Woooshhh....
At once, ripples in time and space started happening. It was as if some great existence was trying to invade heaven itself. All the angels stopped attacking; even Jesus looked back.
"A Constellation is trying to invade, or what?" Raguel thought, a cold fear gripping her heart. To think this girl would be related to some Constellation... they never expected that.
"It seems a war with the Constellations is near!" Raphael thought with dread.
But then, instead of something major happening, the ripples in space immediately sucked in Esdeath and closed, like nothing had happened in the first place, leaving everyone's mouths wide open in stunned silence.
