A single line, "A useless mother," made Wufu pause while stirring the Bird's Nest Porridge, looking at the thin-faced woman whose once good complexion had faded over the past year.
"Mother, you're still sick, don't say such things. Let's wait until you recover," Wufu said with a gentle smile.
Madam Zhou shook her head and said, "It's me, as your mother, who has been a burden to you."
Wufu lowered her eyelids and said softly, "What's this talk of burden or no burden? You are my mother."
Madam Zhou opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but Wufu had already brought the Bird's Nest Porridge forward and said, "If you don't eat, my siblings will have to. You've lost so much weight, and they'll suffer because of it! If you don't want me to get angry, just listen to me and get better first."
