An Yan finally obtained a Revival Dan. She had retrieved it using a Substitution Talisman when Matsumoto Mina's people were feeding Watanabe Isorou medicine.
Under the Perspective Eye, she could see that the Resurrection Pill was teeming with Spiritual Energy.
However, the large tree in her mind couldn't absorb the Spiritual Energy from the Revival Dan. This was because a Spirit-Lock Talisman was embedded within it, a talisman that only became ineffective upon contact with human tissue.
In other words, to undo this talisman, one would have to consume the medicine.
But An Yan couldn't just do nothing and watch over the Revival Dan, rushing over to absorb Spiritual Energy whenever she saw someone about to eat it. She was only one person. If the Revival Dan really started to catch on, she would be completely overwhelmed, even if she worked herself to death!
