As the talismans approached, they transformed into two fire birds engulfed in flames, ready to dive into the bodies of the two corpses. Suddenly, a dim beam of light shot from above, enveloping the two fire birds. The fire birds seemed to have been hit by a Binding Curse, freezing in place. Then, with two soft pops, they turned into wisps of green smoke and vanished!
Startled, Elder Mao looked up, but saw no trace of figures above and called out loudly,
