Elder Mao naturally noticed something was amiss. As he saw the change in the situation before him, he immediately prepared to use the Far Escape Talisman again. But before he could activate it, a man wearing a high crown and splendid attire appeared in front of him. The man's face was bluish-purple, and his eyes were ominous. He pulled a sinister grin while facing Elder Mao.

The man reached out his hand toward him, leaving Elder Mao no choice but to throw another talisman.
"Buzz..."
The talisman emitted a flash of golden light, hitting the man's chest. The man recoiled as though heavily struck, retreating far away.

Above his head, a slender and pale claw reached out to grasp him. The claw was thin and long, with hooked tips that gleamed coldly as they sliced toward his scalp. Elder Mao quickly grabbed another talisman and slapped it onto his own chest.

His whole body immediately glimmered with a layer of silver light.
