Nie Manlin was sent to the island but wasn't restricted from communicating with the outside world, just not allowed to come out and come into contact with drugs again. She felt she had lost her freedom and called Nie Manli to cry about it.
Nie Manli believed that Nie Zhan and Lu Jiaxin were putting her sister under house arrest, infringing upon Nie Manlin's personal freedom. But she didn't speak so bluntly and just said the couple had no right to do this.
Lu Jiaxin said unceremoniously, "She came back to see Grandpa and was using again within two weeks. If she doesn't stay on the island, then you can manage her, and we'll stay out of it."
There was no way Nie Manli would agree to that. Not to mention that using is expensive, what if several kids at home were influenced and ended up using too?
