It was the eve of Jessica's wedding, and she lay side by side on the big hotel bed with Delilah, each of them holding a glass of sparkling, non-alcoholic wine.
The glasses clinked when they toasted, and they both burst into laughter before taking a sip.
Jessica let out a long sigh, sinking into the pillows. "I'm so glad the planning is all over and I don't have to see any more seating charts or cake designs."
Delilah laughed so hard she nearly spilled her drink. "I don't think you're going to be able to handle being an event planner."
"Maybe I feel this way because of the pregnancy," Jessica yawned, then grinned. "This has been the busiest, craziest, most stressful few weeks of my life."
"And tomorrow it will all be worth it." Delilah bumped her shoulder lightly against her sister's.
