Chapter 1202 - Chapter 1200: The Banquet

The Frankfurt Parliament was established in 1848 and dissolved in 1849; the Western fire comes quickly and goes quickly too.

The fundamental reason was that the Prussian King at the time was Frederick William IV, and a monarch who controls the military is not easy to deal with.

The monarchs of the various federations in Germany would not easily hand over power to the parliament, and those radicals especially advocated abolishing the monarchy.

The parliament, with no army or tax power, quickly could not withstand the suppression of the federal troops and once moved from Frankfurt to Stuttgart.

This year marks the twentieth anniversary of the parliament, and whenever people think of Germany, they remember the parliament's propositions.

As the first to promote German unification through democratic procedures, it provided many successful experiences for future generations and laid the foundation for the German unification in 1871.
