The first to wake up in the middle of the night was Younger Sister Glutinous Rice Ball. She opened her eyes, wasn't scared by the pitch-blackness, but started to make "ah ah" noises instead of crying, while slapping her hands, directly waking up Brother Meatball next to her. Then Brother Meatball joined Younger Sister Glutinous Rice Ball, and they both started to cry out "ah ah ah" together.
With the two kids crying out like that, Qin Jiran and Su Yanyi immediately woke up. Qin Jiran, the new dad, was also used to taking care of the children, promptly turned on the bedside lamp, then crawled towards the kids, gently patting both babies.
"Ah ah ah!" Hungry, huh!
"Alright, no more crying. Daddy will make you some milk right now," said Qin Jiran as he climbed out of bed, looking around for the baby bottles.
"I put them all in the kitchen," said Su Yanyi as she woke up, seeing the two kids shouting "ah ah ah," knowing it was time to feed them, she reminded him.
