After much effort to calm Zhu Xiang, Ye Xiao left the room and crossed a courtyard planted with peach trees. The peach trees were bare of leaves, but buddings could be faintly seen. Once the weather warmed up a bit more, they should burst into bloom, filling the courtyard with a fragrant floral display. "What are you doing here? Get out," came the cold voice of Ye Yan from inside as Ye Xiao had yet to step into the front hall.
It seemed there was someone else inside, and by the tone, probably a most unwelcome person.
If it were someone else, they would have known better than to go in, but Ye Xiao was different. She always loved to watch the commotion, and not joining in when there was a drama would be foolish.

That person was also looking at her with enchanting phoenix eyes.
