Chapter 213 - Transition

Chapter 213 Transition

While Lucia was teaching the class, the students who had been worried during her last session felt relieved to see her returning to her old self, which eased their lingering concerns. Lucia continued teaching, unaware of the distress she had caused among her students. However, it didn't seem to affect either her or them at that moment. She lectured as if nothing had ever happened, although there was a noticeable pep in her step as she taught.

After teaching for most of the day, Lucia decided it was time to take a break. Listening to her internal clock and the growling of her stomach, she figured it was afternoon. Once she finished her lecture, she announced a break. While gathering some snacks with the rest of the students, Lucia noticed signs that Aleshia would soon awaken. She wanted to keep this class a secret for now, as she felt it would be awkward for Aleshia to find out.

When they all returned to the room from their break, Lucia announced that she would be ending the lecture earlier than usual. Some students were disappointed, while others were optimistic about having more time for other activities.

A few students regretted not having everything written down yet. Noticing their concerns, Lucia allowed those who were lagging to continue logging their new learnings on their magic board. Some of the students who stayed behind asked Lucia for help, and she explained the concepts they didn't understand.

Eventually, all the kids left the room, leaving Lucia by herself. She waited patiently for Aleshia to awaken from her magic-induced sleep. Without much fanfare, Lucia watched as the color grew larger and larger until it resembled its original size. She readied Aleshia's body for a potential fall by sitting it in a chair, just in case the transition caused her to tumble to the ground. Slowly, Aleshia regained consciousness once more.

A strange and sudden action took place when Aleshia instinctively jerked to right herself, realizing she was falling. After a moment of confusion, she realized she was sitting in a chair and wasn't in any danger of being hurt by gravity. After calmly—or perhaps sleepily—analyzing the situation, she attempted to move but felt as if her grip on her body had significantly weakened. It was as though her control over it was thick, like mud, blocking her path. Confused and concerned, Aleshia turned her head and saw a classroom. Remembering what Lucia had said earlier about teaching the kids, she thought to herself, "Huh, I didn't know this space existed before." Meanwhile, her soul was trying to realign with the mind.
