At this moment, Chiyo was so angry that her liver ached!
Maki was a key figure in the new generation that the village had been nurturing. Yet, for the sake of a mere exam and to spite Konoha, he was effortlessly taken out by Kazuki!
He didn't even get a chance to fight back.
Kazuki didn't even use a single genjutsu; he simply charged forward, thrust his right hand into Maki's chest, and crushed his heart.
Don't think that the death of just one new-generation powerhouse would have little impact on a major village.
In reality, the impact is significant.
In the original story, Maki was an elite Jonin of the Sand Village, a pillar of the village, and a candidate worth nurturing to become the next Kazekage.
Now, all those hopes are gone, completely shattered.
The tragic part is that Maki was the only one in the Sand Village's new generation worth nurturing, and now he's gone.
"It's unreasonable for the exam to allow killing!!"
Chiyo slammed the table in anger, her furious gaze turning toward A.
If it weren't for your Cloud Village messing around with this, would our village have suffered such a loss?
Although Kazuki was the one who killed Maki, the Cloud Village bears half the responsibility for his death.
"Chiyo, I don't like what you're saying. The Jonin exam isn't child's play. Even the Chunin exam can result in deaths, let alone the Jonin exam. If your Sand Village can't handle losing, you can choose to forfeit and surrender."
A crossed his arms unhappily, firing back directly.
It's not like someone from the Cloud Village died, so he wasn't worried at all.
Forfeit and surrender?
Are you joking?
Losing someone is a blow to the village, but forfeiting and surrendering is equivalent to throwing the Sand Village's face on the ground for everyone to trample on.
Chiyo would never do something so foolish; she could only swallow her anger.
That said, Chiyo wasn't someone to be trifled with. She sneered on the spot.
"I hope the Raikage can still accept this reasoning later. I'm afraid you might not be so calm when someone from your village dies. Yugito is your village's Two-Tails Jinchūriki, right? If she dies, tsk tsk."
"As long as Kazuki isn't afraid of death, he can go ahead and try!"
A wasn't swayed by Chiyo's provocation or taunts. The Cloud Village dared to initiate such an exam, which meant they were mentally prepared.
However, if someone participating in the exam really died, it would definitely sting.
Compared to Kazuki, Shisui was more restrained, at least not directly killing anyone.
Although he made the Rock Village lose face, at least their lives were spared.
"It seems the ninjas from your village are quite strong, able to hold their own against Konoha's Copy Ninja, Kakashi."
In Area Three, Kakashi successfully found a scroll, but unfortunately, he ran into ninjas from the Mist Village.
A battle broke out, and whether it was because Kakashi didn't want to go all out or because of his "fifty-fifty" attribute, he ended up fighting back and forth with the Mist ninjas until both sides called it quits.
The scroll.....
Looking at the clue he inadvertently discovered, Kazuki pondered whether he should go looking for this Number One scroll.
He wanted to join up with Shisui directly, but the clues left by the Cloud Village were a bit too obvious.
The scroll was right there, and not taking it seemed like a waste.
Wait, the Cloud Village couldn't be that stupid, could they? Would they leave such obvious clues for the scroll?
After carefully inspecting it, Kazuki couldn't help but sigh.
"Damn, that's sneaky."
"Come out on your own, or should I come find you?"
The trap was exposed, and the ninja who had set it up and hidden himself, waiting to reap the rewards, stepped out.
Alright, it was a nobody from the Rock Village. To be honest, Kazuki didn't have much of an impression of this guy. To be more precise, most of the Rock Village's ninjas were rather unremarkable.
Apart from Ōnoki's Dust Release, the most notable thing about this village was their large-scale Earth Release formations.
Their numbers made Earth Release formations terrifying on the battlefield, which was the Rock Village's defining characteristic.
That was the most memorable thing about them.
"Hahaha."
Looking at the Rock Village representative's ugly expression, Chiyo felt a bit better.
"It seems Konoha is planning to make a big splash this time, but is it really appropriate for them to kill other villages' exam participants like this?"
Raikage, shouldn't you give an explanation or impose some restrictions?
Two people have already died at his hands!
There weren't many participants to begin with, and if this continues, the exam might end up with only three people passing, skipping the third round of battles altogether.
Because there would be no one left.
A remained calm and composed, not worried about his village's people getting hurt.
After all, it was the Sand and Rock Villages losing people, and he was happy to watch the show.
But wasn't Kazuki's bloodlust a bit too strong?
"Wow! Another one dead. What's the name of that Uchiha guy again?"
"He seems really strong."
"He's run into someone from the Mist Village. Will he kill again?"
Most of the audience couldn't grasp the nuances; they could only cheer and wonder.
If their village's ninja ran into him, what would the outcome be?
Some were hopeful, while others were worried.
In Area One of the exam grounds, Mei Terumī's expression was complicated, her gaze filled with deep wariness as she looked at Kazuki.
"Although the exam rules don't forbid killing, your actions might bring some trouble to Konoha."
Indifferently picking up the scroll from the corpse and kicking the body aside, Kazuki weighed the scroll in his hand and looked up at Mei.
"That's just because they weren't strong enough."
"So, what's your choice?"
"My choice....."
Mei hesitated for a moment, then raised her hand to adjust the hair covering her face. "Of course...."
"Lava Release. Melting Apparition Technique!!"
A large wave of corrosive mucus flew toward Kazuki.
This woman was toxic, especially her mouth!
No wonder she was still single and couldn't find a man. With a mouth like hers, countless men would probably be scared off.
Even the Susanoo could be corroded by this lava-like corrosive liquid. Aren't you scared?
Among the participants from the five major villages, the ones worth noting were Mei Terumī and Yugito.
Yugito was the Two-Tails Jinchūriki, so her strength went without saying.
Moreover, she had been trained by the perfect Jinchūriki, Killer B.
Even if she wasn't a perfect Jinchūriki, she was still far stronger than ordinary Jinchūrikis.
Aside from Yugito, there was Mei Terumī, who could use two Kekkei Genkai.
Especially her Lava Release, which even the Susanoo couldn't withstand.
Although the attack was sudden, Kazuki had anticipated it.
As someone representing her village in such an exam, every word and action represented the village. Mei was also a strong-willed woman.
Naturally, she wouldn't raise her hand and surrender without a fight.
A golden bone structure appeared in front of Kazuki, blocking the lava-like mucus that came rushing at him.
The mucus covered the Susanoo, causing it to emit black smoke and rapidly soften, being corroded away.
"Oh, it was blocked?"
