Chapter 206: Mission Settlement
In front of the large square of the Sunshine Glory Guild, Gu Xi walked out of the portal holding the Coldwind Staff.
"Newcomers, don't just stand there. Bring your mission sheet to record your battle achievements, and collect your rewards over here."
Gu Xi looked up and noticed a player not far away waving at him.
He hurriedly walked over with his Coldwind Staff, taking out the head mage's mission settlement sheet given by the Lord of the Dispersed Immortal Garden.
"This is my mission sheet, please take a look."
The player took the mission settlement sheet and glanced at it. His eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at Gu Xi.
"Grade A? Two Grade A evaluations?"
"Is there a problem?"
Gu Xi asked in confusion.
These two mission settlement sheets seemed normal. They were just evaluations of the two missions he completed.
One was transporting troops to the Dispersed Immortal Garden.
The other was guarding the Necromantic Plague Ritual Array. He believed he did well in both tasks and didn't see any issue with getting a Grade A evaluation.
"No problem."
The player in charge of settlements said nothing more.
He couldn't explain that most guilds had a rule: unless the performance was exceptional, new members generally wouldn't receive a Grade A or higher rating.
In the game, Grade A was the highest rating, equivalent to an S grade.
Grade A+ was already considered SS. If they casually gave new players an SS rating, how would future missions be rated and rewarded?
So, regardless of the guild, there was a tacit rule.
Unless the player was outstanding, everyone would generally get a B+ or A-.
Seeing Gu Xi receive two Grade A ratings in a row, he wondered how he managed it.
But he kept his doubts to himself and continued to review the mission settlement sheet.
"For the troop transport mission, the initial promise was 100 undead before the battle and 50 elite undead after the battle, along with a blue equipment piece and 300 in-game currency.
You've already taken the 300 currency. The undead units promised before and after the battle haven't been delivered yet. Here are the recruitment orders: 100 regular undead and 50 special elites. You can recruit them at the barracks or specialized training camps.
This is the voucher for the blue equipment. You can choose the equipment slot, but the attributes are random and cannot be changed.
As for the Necromantic Plague Ritual Array battle, most of the rewards have been given by the Dispersed Immortal Garden.
The guild rewards you with items worth 1000 currency, which you can purchase from the guild store.
Additionally, for the two missions, the guild points are as follows: 250 points for the troop transport mission and 450 points for guarding the Necromantic Plague Ritual Array, totaling 700 guild points.
According to the guild's ranking system, congratulations, you have completed your probationary period and are now an official member of the Sunshine Glory Guild.
Starting today, you have access to all guild facilities. Here is the guild's internal map. You can also use the guild emblem during battles, which will increase your attributes by 10%.
Additionally, some internal guild spaces and instances are now free for you to access. You can also receive some free services from the guild, such as weapon and armor design, battle flag design, and so on."
The player explained the benefits of becoming a full guild member to Gu Xi.
Gu Xi put away the various vouchers and recruitment orders handed over to him, listening attentively.
The guild's inner workings were still relatively new to Gu Xi.
Many things were not something a newbie like him would understand.
After organizing his items, Gu Xi found a passing ferocious weasel and asked, "I want to exchange for a piece of blue equipment. Where should I go?"
The ferocious weasel in a butler's suit looked at Gu Xi and made a gesture, leading him out of the teleportation square.
Gu Xi followed the ferocious weasel, comparing the map in front of him and memorizing the route.
Soon, they arrived at the blacksmith shop within the guild.
The blacksmith shop here was different from the one in the Dispersed Immortal Garden. The blacksmiths here were all guild members.
Their skills varied, and they didn't trade with outsiders. They continuously crafted weapons.
The crafted weapons were quickly boxed and placed in the store outside the blacksmith shop for sale.
The type of equipment a player could get depended on their luck.
The ferocious weasel managing the store had white fur and was holding a smoking pipe. He spoke slowly as he saw the ferocious weasel who brought Gu Xi over.
"Isn't this Huang Jiu? Why are you running errands today?"
"I happened to be passing by and got pulled to guide a newcomer. Seventh Master, this is a new player who just completed his probationary period and isn't familiar with the guild. He's here to exchange for blue equipment."
"Blue equipment, huh? We have some. But your staff and off-hand item are already blue. What else do you want to exchange for?
I do have some armor, but you're a necromancer. You can't use knight's armor."
"Seventh Master, I want to exchange for a robe or other clothing pieces, like belts or boots."
Gu Xi knew he was holding good items. Opening a loot box here might not yield better equipment.
So he decided to choose armor instead.
The white-furred ferocious weasel looked troubled, "Robes are Sixth Lady's specialty, not sold here. But I do have wristbands, boots, and belts. Do you want to try those?"
"Sure, such small items are the hardest to find. I'll take one."
Gu Xi thought for a moment. Robes were large items, and blue equipment was more common. Smaller items like wristbands and belts were rarer, so he decided quickly.
"See those red boxes over there? Pick whichever one you like. They're all blue quality. The attributes depend on your luck."
Gu Xi nodded and looked in the direction the white-furred ferocious weasel pointed.
There were three layers of red boxes, fifteen per layer.
Gu Xi tilted his head and looked for a while, finally opening one of the boxes.
As the box opened, a blue light shone. Inside, Gu Xi saw two silver-gray skulls with luminous green chains hanging from their mouths.
One chain was tied to a red leather book, while the other was wrapped around a rusty short sword.
Then a piece of information popped up in front of Gu Xi.
