Charlotte
Those pair of red eyes where on me once again and I began to doubt if it was really me hallucinating. it creepy eyes was particularly eye catching in the darkness giving an eerie atmosphere
I gulped down my spit, my right hand clutching my chest tightly with goose bumps spreading over my body.
it gaze on me was sinister, full of hatred, killing intent and another emotion I couldn't fathom
I wanted to walk away but my legs seemed rooted on the spot disobeying the commands of my brain.
My heart palpitating intensively
no, I couldn't get too excited.
my hand made it way to my bag searching for my pills which thankfully I found immediately taking two in without water, gulping it down.
I couldn't help cursing Natalie and Cyrus in my heart. if it weren't for them I wouldn't be in this situation of helplessness.
"who are you?" I couldn't help calling out " what do you want from me" my voice trembling.
"who are you talking to?" I heard Natalie say from behind and I felt I had found a back bone when her flash light shone from behind.
There was nothing in the spot.
I couldn't help trembling in fear
"where were you guys?" I asked with resentment
"Cyrus and I went out separate ways. I was nearby when I heard your voice. tell me.." she grinned " found anything interesting?"
"let's leave" I felt exhausted
"oh, too bad" she complained "what's so creepy about this place? I just think they call it haunted to keep students away, don't you think?"
I nodded absentmindedly as we walked away. I couldn't still feel those eyes on me but I didn't dare look back
We walked out of the door, Cyrus already waiting at the lobby, seated. He spotted us and walked over.
"I thought we made an agreement to meet up at the lobby in twenty minutes, what took you guys so long?" he frowned his gaze on me " and why do you look so pale Charlotte" he asked anxiously, his hands holding both of my cold hands "and why are they so cold?"
I shook my head and he let out a sigh
"I am sorry , Natalie and I shouldn't have asked you to accompany us, it was our mistake" he picked me up horizontally walking out of the gate, Natalie lagging behind.
my hands encircled around his neck while my head rested on his chest too lazy to speak or demand he put me down
