It was a sunny day when Prince Hendrix and Prime went out to the market. They enjoyed the things around them.
"Prime! Come here." Prince Hendrix was happy, pointing at the colorful robes and fabric.
"Wow! It's beautiful!" Prime didn't touch any. He knew that he was a poor guy now in front of a prince. He was having a pity of himself because it was his first time to go out of the palace at a broad daylight.
"Pick any fabric or robes."
"What? What did you say?" Prime couldn't help himself as a poor guy now. "Your High-"
Prince Hendrix covered his mouth as he began exposing his identiy. "Could you please stop calling me like that?"
Prime nodded. He wasn't thinking carefully about the safety of the prince. "I'm sorry. What should I call you?"
"Drix."
"Okay, Drix." It was an awkward moment when he called the prince on his own name. They continued looking for the best quality of fabric and the prince insisted on the tailor to make appropriate clothing for Prime.
"Thank you, Drix!" Prime was thankful and his tears were sweeling on his eyes.
"Wait, you shouldn't cry. You, poor guy." The prince wiped his tears and tapped his back. "It's fine. I understand your feelings."
Prime couldn't control his emotions now. It was his first time to be cared of in person. The treatment he got from his own family was something unspecial to him. However, this prince in front of him was making it possible for him to allow himself feel that he was also a person.
The prince hushed. He gently wiped his tears and hugged Prime. The few people around them were looking, judging them as a couple.
"Stop crying, my nephew."
"Nephew?"
"Everyone is looking. Stop crying now or else my identity will be exposed." He covered the face of Prime while he was wiping his tears around his cheeks.
"I think I'm okay now."
"I know. I think we should get your clothes after two weeks."
Primes was about to cry again but he held it back. "Sure. Let's go get something to eat."
They went to a well-known restaurant for lunch. It was the prince's favorite place out of many restaurants there.
"Your Highness, I am here to serve you." The woman was placing her hand on her chest. She was wearing a beautiful garment with the hues of green.
"Prime, she's my cousin. She is in charge of the whole restaurant. This is one of my favorite places."
"Hello. Nice to meet you." Prime smiled and she noticed how well mannered she was.
"Hello, my dear young boy. I'm Elise. Nice to meet you too." She pointed her palms on the way they're going. "I'll go get your order."
The two sat and the prince offered him a tea cup.
"I should serve you, Your Highness." Prime made a quick offer of tea.
"Thank you, Prime."
"You're so good to me. That's why I serve you."
Prime was right. His feelings and emotions were going through roller coaster rides if ever he didn't serve him well. It was his first time to serve a person. What more if he serve the people soon? He stopped thinking about ruling the Kingdom.
He wanted to focus on everything he does in front of the prince. He should be careful because a wrong move may cause his death. He didn't want him to suspect anymore about his real identity.
The two enjoyed the food. After they eat, they went out of the restaurant and Prime looked at the signage at the top pf the gate.
"What are you looking at?" The prince noticed him having difficulty about reading the signage. He thought about not being educated and illiterate poor guy was in front of the restaurant. "It's called as 'Elise's Restaurant'. Can you pronounce it?"
"Elise's Restaurant."
The prince wanted to help his poor guy by teaching him how to read and write. "I think I have an idea for you."
"What is it?"
The prince walked away from him. "You'll see tomorrow."
"What is it? Say it to me, please?" Prime begged the prince but he didn't say his plan.
After a long tiring day, Prince Hendrix prepared something for Prime. He prepared ten papers, brush, ink and inkstone. He put those things under his bed so that nobody could notice him bringing it out of his bedroom hall tomorrow.
"What was he thinking?" Princess Zakia was soaking herself on the bathtub. "Did he notice I have difficulty in reading? No way! I'm not an illiterate. I can read."
She felt embarrassed at how he saw her like that. If only she was taught to read and write well by her family, she would be all knowing now. "I don't know what to do. I think I need to study well as soon as possible."
She prepared something until she fell asleep on her bed. Her body was weak enough to control. She felt the numbness all pver hee body, thinking she was exhausted.
Prince Hendrix was awake after few hours. He prepared his backpack and the materials needed for teaching Prime. He prepared his fan and stick for her to learn.
"Where are you going?" His mother was worried about her son walking alone.
"I'll be fine. I'm in disguise today. I wanted a quick travel exploring the market."
" Be careful, son."
He smiled at her, following the lead of the wind outside the palace. He didn't run aw
ay without telling his queen mother about going out freely. "It's better to tell her."
