Mt. Silver Summit – Shattered ApexUnknown Coordinates | Miasma Storm Level: MAX
The ground was no longer solid.
Chunks of broken earth hovered midair, suspended in a gravity-defying storm of static and ruin. Fractured stone floated like jagged puzzle pieces, shrouded in a swirl of ash, black fog, and flickers of red lightning that cracked through the void overhead. This place, once sacred, now existed in a perpetual collapse—held together only by the cursed pulse of the energy that had ruined it.
Gazei exhaled, slow and sharp, boots grinding against a drifting slab of stone barely clinging to gravity. Every breath tasted of metal and smoke, the static in the air buzzing against his skin like a warning. Sparks danced along the edge of the blade strapped to his back, flickering with anticipation.
Above, the sermon began.
At least he found out where the fuck he is. Rin is going to get it when he goes back to Kanto.
"My brothers and sisters!" the voice boomed, warped and jagged like rusted steel. "An intruder has come to halt our ascension! To chain our righteous path with cowardice and fear!"
Gazei's eyes rolled upward. There. Standing like a demented preacher atop the highest obsidian spire—One-Eyed Jack, staff raised, his single glowing eye pulsing like a cursed moon. Behind him, a mass of warped cultists howled their devotion, cloaked in writhing shadows and madness.
"Are we going to let him spit on our values?!" Jack cried.
"NO!" the horde shrieked, voices overlapping like broken machines chewing on bone.
What kind of world has a crazy suicidal hippie turned cult leader? Last, Gazei checked that the white guy didn't have a cult in the show.
From below, Zeus squinted up at the spectacle, sparks popping off his fur. "What the bloody hell's wrong with this muppet? Rantin' like he's auditionin' for a stage play written by a drunk ghost."
Maggie cracked her neck, the red-horned Charmander already baring her teeth. "Doesn't matter. I'm torchin' his kneecaps." Her accent was pure Outback—rough, ready, and eager for violence.
A third voice joined them—deep, silky, and Romanian.
"I want his blood. Slowly."
Dharak slithered into view, his dark scales shimmering like oil under the blood-red sky. The Neo Deino's expressionless face did little to hide the cruel promise behind his words.
Gazei rolled his neck with a crack, blade still humming at his side. His eyes narrowed, his hair shifting colors as energy built into his body. "Well, shit," he muttered, grinning as he stepped to the edge of the floating rock. "Looks like the preacher's predator is finally ready to drop the sermon."
A thick black vein bulged across Jack's forehead.
"I'm not a predator."
"Don't give a damn," Gazei and his Pokémon said in perfect unison. The man so gives off pedo vibes.
The crowd hissed. Jack lifted his staff—twisted bone and obsidian fused into a weapon that bled power. At its peak, a giant eye gleamed with chaotic, flickering energy.
"You are out of place, out of time," Jack snarled, pointing the staff like a blade, "and soon… out of breath."
Gazei spat to the side. "Man, you talk too much." He glanced at his team. "Y'all ready to end this cultist fever dream?"
Zeus sparked with anticipation. "Born ready, cap."
Maggie rolled her shoulder. "Let's see if his spine crunches like his doctrine."
Dharak growled, eyes narrowing. "Let's dance, preacher."
Cultists hurled Pokéballs skyward.
In a blink, the sky tore open. Salamence. Gengar. Tyranitar. All twisted by the Abyss. Their roars weren't natural. Their eyes were empty. The air screamed with their presence.
One-Eyed Jack lifted his staff high, the swirling eye at its head pulsating with venomous light. "BEHOLD! THE FREEDOM STRIKER!"
He flung a Pokéball. A corrupted Houndoom erupted from it, tendrils of fire and shadow leaking from its frame like burning tar.
Gazei didn't even blink.
"Zeus! Ability Active: Faraday Cage!" The Neo Pichu roared forward, paws crackling. Lightning pulsed outward in a perfect sphere, snapping into place midair as a transparent cage of spiraling voltage slammed down around them. Several Crobat twisted into the barrier and were electrocuted instantly, their bodies smoking as they dropped.
Maggie grinned. "Aw, hell yes."
"Dharak!" Gazei pointed. "Ability active: Void Coil!"
A surge of black-violet energy erupted around the Neo Deino. The ground beneath him split like paper, chunks floating upward as a coiling aura spiraled around his body. Dharak's form blurred, distorting like shadow stitched to reality by force. His body extended unnaturally for a heartbeat—an instant of terror—as the Void Coil consumed his silhouette in a spasm of spiked tendrils.
Then, he vanished.
A corrupted Salamence screeched from the backline—right before Dharak reappeared directly beneath it, launching upward like a possessed torpedo. With a soundless pulse, Dharak's jagged body crashed into the dragon's underbelly. Reality buckled. The Salamence exploded in midair, not in fire—but in silence. Swallowed whole by the void.
"Dharak has claimed his tithe," the dark-type hissed as he landed, tail slashing the air behind him like a scythe.
"Zeus!" Gazei shouted next, leaping forward into the fray, blade spinning in hand. "Ability active: Tesla Gate!"
The ground trembled as Zeus clenched his tiny fists, sparks dripping from his cheeks like venom. Circuit-like patterns bloomed under his feet, branching out in sharp, angular glyphs of light across the battlefield. They pulsed once—twice—
Then the entire summit detonated with lightning.
Forks of golden electricity erupted skyward, striking down corrupted Crobat and Haunter midflight. Cultists howled as their Pokémon screamed in unholy static and vanished in digital glitches, their coding unable to hold against the overload.
"I ain't done yet, laddie!" Zeus growled, hopping onto a floating chunk of obsidian. "Come on, ya freaks! Who wants a boot in the arse?"
From the left flank, a possessed Rhyperior charged through the smoke, bellowing like a tank. Maggie was already airborne.
"Ability active: Dragon Hammer!" Gazei called.
With a grin full of fire, Maggie flipped midair and slammed both clawed feet glowing with draconic energy into the Rhyperior's skull with an audible crack. The shockwave knocked several cultists off the edge of the summit.
"Crikey! You lot are built like bricks—and dumber than one, too!" she barked, leaping backward as the Rhyperior collapsed like a felled monument.
Gazei didn't stand idle.
With a roar, he dashed through the chaos, blade in hand. Cultists tried to intercept him—one with a mutated Machamp, another with a Graveler fused with something distinctly not Pokémon.
He sliced the first Pokéball midair, frying it with a flick of Aura. The second trainer lunged with a twisted Rhydon, its horn dripping black sludge.
Gazei twisted his blade overhead. "Single Sword: Spiral Nova!"
The blade flared with solar flame. He spun once and cleaved down, slicing a golden arc that severed both horn and sludge in one sweep. The Rhydon howled as it disintegrated into shattering hex code, its master screaming after it.
More cultists descended from the broken ridges, sliding across floating stones, their Pokémon a wave of teeth and shadow.
Dozens.
"Form up!" Gazei yelled. "Zeus, Ability Activate: Lightning Vortex! Maggie, Ability Activate: Cleave Line! Dharak, Ability Activate: Phantom Chain!"
"Aye, gotcha!"
"Smokin' 'em!"
"They will not live."
Zeus leapt into the air. "Fry and die ya cuck bastards." He spun like a drill, a thunderstorm coalescing around him in a dense spiral. Electricity roared in all directions as a vortex formed—sucking in Flying-types and short-circuiting the battlefield. Pidgeot, Talonflame, and corrupted Honchkrow vanished in explosive flashes.
Maggie slammed both claws into the earth. "Humans make the best moves in video games." From her impact, twin shockwaves raced along the earth like dragon fire, splitting the ground in clean symmetrical cracks. Anything in their path—man or beast—was flung skyward like confetti.
Dharak slithered low, his eyes glowing red.
"Suffer!" Chains erupted from thin air, coiling like sentient shadows. They latched onto opposing Pokémon, binding them in mid-motion. A Scizor screeched in rage as the chains wrapped its arms and crushed them, warping the metal inward like paper.
Gazei dropped low as a Blaziken attacked from behind. The cultist screamed something unintelligible.
He didn't hear it.
"Too slow," Gazei whispered, rolling forward and launching off his hands.
He spun in midair.
"Single Sword—Crescent Breaker!"
The blade carved a golden arc of energy that bisected the Blaziken and the trainer in a single, nonlethal sweep. Both fell—stunned, defeated.
Then he landed.
And more came. Gazei rolled his eyes, sensing multiple Ghost-types coming his way.
"Dharak Ability Active: Crunch! I want those ghosts to be deader than dead!"
Dharak's mouth opened, his fangs covered in Dark-type energy so much that the energy overflowed, growing his fangs. The Dark/Dragon-type swallowed the Gengar whole, distorting its form into a shrieking blur before swallowing the corrupted Ghost-type.
"AAAAAAHH! MY GENGAR!" a cultist howled, stumbling backward as their corrupted partner evaporated into smoke.
"WHAT IS THAT THING?!"
"We're supposed to be blessed!"
Another cultist fired a command. "Salamence, Hyper Beam! Hit the Charmander!"
But Maggie was already in motion.
"Maggie!" Gazei called. "Ability Active: Titan Break!"
The Neo Charmander's body rippled with orange-red energy, her form bulking with raw power. She moved like a meteor, her feet cracking the floating slabs beneath her as she launched skyward, meeting Salamence midair.
"OI, ya picked the wrong lizard today, mate!" Maggie bellowed.
With a snarl, she spun and drove her flaming tail across Salamence's snout, slamming it into a spinning claw kick that detonated with the force of a miniature explosion.
Below, cultists screamed in disbelief.
"She just—she just kicked a Salamence out of the sky!"
"WHY IS IT SO FAST?!"
"THAT'S A CHARMANDER!"
"I THOUGHT SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE CUTE!"
Gazei had to raise a brow at the take. He knows Maggie well enough, and she hates being called cute. Fuse learned that the hard way, trying to get his sister laid.
Well, that nigg--fellow is dead. Looking around
He leapt across the broken field, rebounding off floating debris and flipping through blasts of dark fire. His eyes locked onto one of the corrupted Tyranitars charging an attack—Abyss energy spiraling into its claws.
"Zeus! Ability Activate: Suppression Bolt!"
"Oi, boss—watch this one." The Neo Pichu snapped his fingers midair. Electricity exploded from his body in three directions—then curved inward, forming a tri-helix spiral of compressed lightning. He threw it like a discus, and the move hit the Tyranitar square in the face.
Boom.
The cultist behind it was sent flying from the shockwave. "I SPENT SIX YEARS TRAINING THAT THING!"
Gazei landed on a broken platform, aura sparking violently from his blade.
"Single Sword… 160 Rising Dragon Pound!"
He vanished.
Then reappeared midair above another squad of cultists and Pokémon. His sword, sheathed in streaks of gold and violet aura, came down like a comet. The impact cratered the terrain, launching three Abyss Pokémon in different directions—smoldering.
"AAAAHHH! HE'S GOT TECHNIQUES!"
"HE NAMED HIS ATTACK! HE NAMED HIS FUCKING ATTACK!"
"He's like a protagonist from the old-world reels!"
"WHAT THE HELL KIND OF TRAINER IS THIS?!"
Zeus hopped onto a floating chunk of terrain, spinning a shuriken-shaped burst of electricity in his paws.
"Lads, this gon' be fun."
Two hours later...
The battlefield was a maelstrom of chaos—fractured earth suspended in midair, crimson lightning illuminating the darkened sky, and the cacophony of battle cries echoing through the abyss. Gazei stood amidst the turmoil, his blade gleaming with energy, flanked by his steadfast partners: Zeus, Maggie, and Dharak.
Gazei landed hard, one hand on his knee, blade glowing with residual aura.
"…Damn." He stood tall, sparks dancing along his arms. "That's how you drop a sermon."
Screams erupted.
"My legs! Agh—my legs!!""Retreat! RETREAT!""He's not human—he's not—!"
Panicked cultists scrambled over each other, slipping in mud and blood, tossing out Pokéballs in desperation.
From the swirling shadows emerged two figures, their presence exuding menace and intent. Bekka, a lithe and agile combatant with piercing eyes, and Pozzo, a hulking brute wielding a massive hammer, stepped forward to join One-Eyed Jack.
"Ah, the infamous Desert Wolves," Gazei muttered, tightening his grip on his sword. "Decided to join the party, have we?" He has no idea what their names are. The only people he can name from that show are Chase and Ginja for obvious reasons.
Bekka smirked, her eyes narrowing. "You're meddling in affairs beyond your understanding, Gazei."
Holy shit, there was actual girl on that team? Pretty cute.
Pozzo cracked his knuckles, his voice a low growl. "We'll make sure you don't interfere any further."
One-Eyed Jack raised his staff, the eye at its peak pulsating with malevolent light. "Together, we'll show you the folly of your resistance."
Pozzo snarled, throwing his arm forward as another black Pokéball launched from his gauntlet. It burst open in midair, revealing a mutated, spiked Machamp, its muscles engorged and eyes glowing sickly green.
"Rip him apart!"
Bekka moved with grace but no less hatred. She drew her own Pokéball and let it drop lazily from her fingers.
"Your arrogance ends now, Gazei. Salazzle—Fire Lash."
Twin flashes of tainted light. Machamp roared, four fists dripping with pulsing black veins of abyssal power. Salazzle slithered forward from her warp gate, tail flicking, flames curling off her serpentine form like smoke from a cursed volcano.
The cultists rallied. Somewhere in the distance, a war horn blared. Another round of Pokémon came crashing in: a Cloyster covered in bone plates, a Noivern with torn wings that screamed like a broken flute.
"Circle the bastard! Keep him pinned!"
No, you won't, Gazei thought.
His eyes burned bright with aura. Sparks danced along the length of his blade.
He pointed sharply at Dharak, who'd slithered back from the shadows, still dripping with remnants of what he'd devoured.
"Dharak! Ability Active: Abyss Vortex Waver!"
The moment the words left Gazei's lips, Dharak hissed violently, jaws spreading wide. A black hole formed in his mouth—gravity folding inward. It wasn't an energy attack. It was a gravitational tear. One of the incoming cultist Pokémon—a Scizor—was ripped out of the air mid-lunge and atomized in an instant.
Gazei moved.
He wasn't teleporting—he was just fast.
He slammed his foot on the edge of the floating platform and launched himself forward like a missile.
"Single Sword..." The blade shimmered. Aura wrapped his body like armor.
"160... RISING DRAGON POUND!"
He flipped once, twisted, and came crashing down in front of Pozzo with all the weight of divine fury.
Pozzo barely had time to raise his gauntlet to block—CRACK!
The sheer impact knocked him clean off the platform, sending him flying into a broken tower, where he crashed through the stone like a cannonball.
His Machamp lunged forward, but Zeus was already moving.
"Zeus! Ability Active: Tempest Drive + Arc Helix Mode!" Gazei shouted.
BzzzzZZZAAAAAAT!
Zeus turned into a blur of spiraling light. He zipped around the Machamp three times in a blink—each loop slicing deeper with Arc Blades of charged air. On the fourth pass, he struck with Thunder Jackknife, a double-footed kick that sent Machamp flying backward into a spinning stone shard, impaling it.
Bekka didn't flinch.
"Salazzle, Fire Spin—Chain Wrap Formation!"
Salazzle lunged, her body extending unnaturally as black flame slithered around Gazei's ankles, trying to pin him.
But Gazei simply spun midair and slashed downward.
"Single Sword: Twin Step Severance!"
His blade didn't cut the fire—it reversed it. The spiral unwound, detonating in reverse, exploding behind Salazzle instead and knocking her off balance.
Maggie barreled in from the flank, her teeth already glowing.
"Ability Activate: Flare Fang!"
The Fire/Dragon-type roared, blasting forward with a head-on charge.
Salazzle screeched as the Neo Charmander latched onto her midsection and dragged her straight into the stone like a meteor. Flames exploded upward in a violent shockwave.
BOOM!!
The shockwave threw Bekka back, skidding her across the gravelled edge of the platform.
"Damn it!" she cursed.
Zeus landed on Gazei's shoulder, sparking, his expression cocky.
"What's the plan, boss?"
Gazei smirked. "Plan? We're just freestyling now."
Pozzo roared from the rubble, blood running down his temple. He pulled himself up, dragging out another Pokéball—this one humming violently.
"I'LL KILL YOU!"
Gazei threw his hand forward.
"Zeus! Ability Activate: Ion Hammer! Maggie—Ability Activate: Twister Blade! Dharak— Ability Activate: Crunch!"
BA-BOOM!
FWOOM!
CRACK!
All three Pokémon launched into synchronized action, chaining their special moves. Zeus ricocheted off two falling chunks of debris and slammed directly into Pozzo's chest with enough force to break ribs. Maggie spun like a drill and pierced through the newly summoned Sableye, reducing it to ash. Dharak slithered into the shadow of a broken arch and emerged beneath a Cloyster's shell, his jaw snapping as he consumed it in two bites.
Cultists screamed and fled. "He's not human!!"
"HE'S A MONSTER—BACK OFF!"
"WHERE'S JACK?!"
The camera of a nearby floating drone captured the moment clearly:
One man. Three Pokémon. Surrounded by ruin. Unstoppable.
Bekka hissed from behind her hair, which now hung in front of her face, wild and scorched. "You think this changes anything, Gazei?! You've just scratched the surface."
"I know," he said coolly, resting his sword on his shoulder again.
"But don't worry." He stepped forward as thunder rumbled above. "I'll carve deeper."
"Aight, Jack," Gazei growled, voice like gravel dragged across steel. "For the past—I don't even know—however many damn days you freaks and your fetish freaks have been jumpin' us like rabid Rattata."
One-Eyed Jack raised his staff, the massive eye gleaming with void energy. "You interfere with divine rebirth! Reason you—"
"SHUT THE FUCK UP, PEDO BEAR!" Gazei's blade pointed at him. "Your vibes make Garbodor look sanitary."
"Aye! Let me at 'im! I'll fry his eyebrows off!" Zeus crackled from Gazei's shoulder.
"Bet his bones taste like old socks." Maggie stomped, her tail ablaze and spinning like a sawblade.
"Permission to flay." Dharak's fanged grin grew wider, voice like cold silk dragged across stone.
Gazei gave a lazy nod. "Granted."
Jack howled and slammed his staff down—energy erupted as mutated Pokémon stormed from the fog. A corrupted Alakazam, a spine-twisted Dragonite, and something that used to be a Garchomp now fused with ghost matter.
Gazei whispered to his blade. "Showtime."
"Zeus! Ability Active: Lightning Guillotine!"
"BANG TIME, MOTHER—" Zeus blurred into motion, flipping and crackling, splitting into afterimages before detonating like a thunder grenade. The corrupted Dragonite screamed as it was bisected midair.
"Maggie! Ability Active: Firestorm Cyclone—light 'em UP!"
"With pleasure!" Maggie spun, tail whirling like a flaming chainsaw, hurling fireballs in every direction. Three cultist Pokémon ignited in mid-charge, shrieking as they tumbled into the abyss.
"Dharak, GO!"
"With pleasure." The shadows surged forward like a living nightmare. Dharak vanished—reappeared behind the Alakazam—and crunched through its spine with his jaws. No time to react. Only terror.
"You dare desecrate—" Jack shrieked.
"Desecrate this!" Gazei lunged, sword in hand.
"Single Sword... 160 RISING DRAGON POUND!"
He twisted midair, aura erupting around him in a spiral of light and force. He crashed into the platform in front of Jack, sending shockwaves through the mountain. Jack flew backward into a jagged obsidian spike.
Blood sprayed.
"You done preachin'?" Gazei sneered.
Jack staggered up, glowing with corrupted power. "I AM THE WORLD'S FREEDOM!"
"Bro, you wear skulls for pants. You're the definition of 'needs therapy.'"
Jack screamed, unleashing a massive void beam. Gazei crossed his blade and held.
"Zeus, now!"
"ON IT!" Zeus zipped in, overclocking, turning into a blazing comet. "FULL VOLT OVERDRIVE!"
The blast from Zeus slammed into Jack's void beam—canceling it out in a clash of raw chaos.
Gazei leapt in. "Ability Activate: Twin Fang Severance!"
A double-slash lit up the field as Jack reeled, staff cracking.
Maggie pounced from behind. "Say g'day to hell!"
BOOOOM!
She tackled Jack off the floating spire in a spinning inferno. The explosion tore through the summit like a warhead, shockwaves vaporizing nearby rocks and cultists.
"Aww... shit..." Gazei muttered.
The sky went white.
To be continued...
