Just as Rosalie was shocked by the scene in front of her, a strange voice sounded behind her.
"Welcome to the G.D.I." The speaker was Sebastian, and Ristarte was by his side.
"Excuse me, are you Sir Sebastian?" Rosalie immediately asked respectfully upon seeing Sebastian.
"That's right," Sebastian nodded and narrowed his eyes to look at her.
"Sir Sebastian, I hope you can help us humans fight against the Demon Lord Army." Rosalie bowed to Sebastian and spoke respectfully.
"Of course, we will help you..." Ristarte said, nodding vigorously at the same time. But before she finished speaking, Sebastian interrupted: "The purpose of my trip is indeed to fight the Demon Lord Army, but it is not to stand on the united front with your kingdom."
Sebastian's gaze no longer lingered on Rosalie for a moment.
"W-what?!" Rosalie was a little surprised by Sebastian's words. "Aren't you the hero?!"
"I am not the hero," Sebastian said indifferently and cast his eyes back to Rosalie. "As the daughter of the Warmaster, it is disappointing to see you so ignorant of etiquette. It is not my duty to assist you. As a representative of your country, if your attitude towards us is like this, then everything will be out of the question."
In Sebastian's eyes, Rosalie, as a help-seeker, lacked sincerity when asking for help. Instead, she seemed to take Sebastian's assistance for granted.
Sebastian is not a bad person, but since the other party did not show him respect, he has no reason to help. Additionally, he could guess why Rosalie came to find him, probably because Wohlks was preparing to attack him.
Hearing Sebastian's words, Rosalie was bewildered and didn't realize her mistake until a few seconds later. Only then did she realize she had slighted the person she regarded as a hero.
For a moment, a sense of frustration rose in her heart. Her father had asked her to negotiate with Sebastian to foster closer relations, but before it even began, the relationship had already soured. But Rosalie is very arrogant; even if she recognizes her mistake, she cannot admit it.
"Isn't it an obligation for a hero to help humans defeat the Demon Lord?!" Rosalie challenged.
"I am not a hero," Sebastian turned away and faced the other way. "The G.D.I. does not welcome unmannered people. Please go back."
"Hateful!" Rosalie gritted her teeth angrily, her entire body trembling. "Even if you are a hero, you deny yourself. I will duel you!"
"Miss Rosalie, please calm down!" the soldiers behind her quickly tried to soothe her, attempting to stop her behavior.
Rosalie's strength is average, only slightly better than that of ordinary people, and far behind her father's, let alone the Four Demon Generals.
"Oh? Are you serious?" Sebastian turned his head when he heard Rosalie's words and fixed his gaze on her.
In an instant, Rosalie felt a menacing, murderous aura enveloping her. Sebastian had transformed into someone completely different from before.
"How dare you be rude to him!" Ram, who had been silently following Sebastian, also grew cold. She waved her hand slightly, and a powerful gust of wind swept Rosalie and all her troops into the air.
"What kind of power is this?! Monster!"
"Help! Help!"
The soldiers screamed, overwhelmed by her terrifying strength. They seemed like ants in her presence, and so did Rosalie.
"She is just a maid. Why is she so powerful? She could easily kill the Four Demon Generals." Only then did Rosalie realize that Sebastian and his subordinates possessed formidable strength, strength she could not match.
"Ram, put them down," Sebastian waved slightly, and Ishtar immediately bowed respectfully:
"Yes, Master Sebastian!" After Ram finished speaking, the gust of wind vanished, and the others fell heavily to the ground.
"Send them away. When you have learned the most basic etiquette, you can come back to me," Sebastian said lightly, then ordered Ram to use wind magic to drive them out of the settlement.
Rosalie and her troops were thrown over the walls like flies.
"Miss Rosalie, what shall we do?" the soldiers asked, slightly shocked, seeking her opinion. They were more afraid she would do something even more outrageous to offend Sebastian again.
"Hmph. We don't need such a hero," Rosalie folded her arms across her chest, acting like a child in anger.
She thought about returning to the capital to complain about Sebastian to her father. But after some consideration, she realized that if she returned defeated, she would be disappointing her father. No matter what, Rosalie was determined to complete her mission and not let her father down.
However, her strong self-esteem and arrogant personality made it impossible for her to apologize to Sebastian. There was no other option; she could only order her soldiers to station around Sebastian's territory. Since she couldn't defeat him or reason with him, she would waste time trying to challenge him.
At this moment, Rosalie looked like a child throwing a tantrum in front of her parents, every day, they simply stood by Sebastian's stronghold.
But Rosalie and her troops didn't expect to be here for long. Their supplies and dried food were limited, and they ate through everything in just a few days.
"Miss Rosalie, we are almost out of supplies," the soldiers pleaded, hoping she would ask Sebastian for more.
"No, we are soldiers. How can we not endure a little hardship?"
