The blade struck.
Clean. Silent. Precise.
Corvus Glaive's obsidian spear pierced the side of Doctor Strange's neck with a wet, sickening crunch. Blood sprayed across the polished floor as Strange staggered back, choking, one hand clutching the wound, the other reflexively conjuring a weak barrier.
The necklace around his neck snapped. The Time Stone hit the ground—hard. It rolled away, humming faintly.Useless.
Strange's fingers trembled.His body shook.His vision blurred instantly.That spear—it wasn't normal.
The black energy coating its edge writhed like living shadow.
Strange's eyes widened despite the pain."…This… This isn't from you…"
Corvus didn't speak. He simply advanced.
But Strange understood. He could feel it from the wound—the darkness eating at his body like a curse.
Knull.
The God of the Void.
The same signature Aiden had warned them about. A power ancient, absolute. Pure death.
Strange coughed, blood spilling past his lips.
"Of all the assassins… you're the most boring," he muttered, snapping his fingers.
A red glyph exploded beneath Corvus's feet.
Boom.
A teleportation trap—not to move Corvus—but to invert gravity in a localized space. The Black Order assassin was launched into the ceiling, crashing into reinforced adamantium with a dull thud. Strange staggered back, pressing hard on his neck. His fingers glowed green, trying to seal the wound.
It wasn't working.
Knull's power was resisting his magic. Devouring the spellwork as fast as he cast it.
Corvus dropped from the ceiling, landing soundlessly. His spear spun in his hands. He dashed forward without a word, striking again.
Strange raised a mirror shield—Corvus shattered it in one blow.
Another glyph—this one cast inside Corvus's body. A spike of golden light erupted from his shoulder, forcing him to retreat.
But only for a second.
Corvus adapted. Fast. He circled Strange, movements too smooth, too clean. Like a phantom with a single intent.
Strange summoned the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak.
Corvus cut through them.
He summoned Bolts of Balthakk.
Corvus dodged, weaving between them like water.
Strange staggered again, barely staying on his feet. Blood loss was catching up. His left arm trembled. His spells began to lose structure mid-cast.
"You're good," Strange said, breathing hard. "But I've fought gods, you know."
Corvus finally spoke, voice like a whisper dragged through steel."I am not a god. I am the blade that ends them."
He struck again.
Strange barely teleported away, reappearing behind him with a whip of arcane fire. It caught Corvus in the ribs, searing black armor. Strange followed up with a time-loop curse, even without the stone—just enough to disorient.
Corvus flickered once.
Then broke it.
One slash.
A deep line opened across Strange's abdomen. He collapsed to one knee, wheezing.
Still, he raised a hand, fingers forming another seal.
Corvus stepped on his wrist.
The bones cracked instantly.
The spear pressed against Strange's chest.
"You were… never meant to fight," Corvus said calmly. "You were meant to be removed."
Blood poured freely. The wound in his neck sizzled now. Every second, he could feel his soul decaying.
And yet… Strange smiled.
"Then… what's taking you so long?"
Corvus stabbed.
A final blow—
Blood pooled beneath him. His hands were shaking. His vision, fading.
But Doctor Stephen Strange… smiled.
"I've seen it already..." he rasped through crimson-coated lips, his one good eye locking onto Corvus's.
"You and Thanos... and even Knull... you will all lose…"
He raised a trembling hand—magic swirling violently around his fingertips, unstable, chaotic, pure.
"And I shall start… with you."
Corvus narrowed his eyes. Unimpressed. Calm. He twisted the obsidian blade once more in Strange's chest before ripping it free, dark energy crackling off its edge.
"Ramblings of a dead man..."He stepped back.
Strange didn't deny it.Because it was true.
The Base shook.
Every arcane seal lit up at once—glyphs, runes, sigils—all ancient, forbidden, unstable. Magic from dimensions he was never supposed to touch. Magic fueled by everything he had left.
Time… Space… Mind… Soul… Reality… Power.
The six schools of cosmic discipline flared in the circle around him—an imitation of the Stones themselves. His cloak fell. His hands were outstretched. His body already beginning to break apart under the strain.
Corvus lunged—
But it was too late.
A blast of magic engulfed the room. Not a beam. Not an explosion. A supernova of layered incantations, each one rigged to self-destruct on contact. Dimensional rifts opened. Runes sliced through solid matter. Eldritch fire consumed oxygen.
Corvus screamed.
Strange never did.
Because he'd already accepted it.
He saw his skin peel away under his own magic. His soul tremble as Knull's curse and his own spells collided inside his core. The spear still stuck through his gut, sizzling.
And yet...
He was smiling.
Because in his last second, he remembered.
He hadn't seen Aiden's future. The Time Stone never let him.But he felt it.
That undeniable force of fate. Of destiny. Of victory.
Aiden would win. He knew it.
And if Strange had any role left to play in this war…It was this.
To take the Time Stone with him.To deny Thanos. To protect the future.
The chamber detonated in pure arcane collapse.Walls melted. Space folded.
And in the center of it all—
Doctor Stephen Strange and Corvus Glaive…
Both were gone.
....
Meanwhile in Titan
...
The black stone—Knull's essence—had seeped into him, infecting his core. His left eye turned pitch black, leaking shadows. His skin scorched and cracked like burnt obsidian. His arm trembled as it twisted into something not entirely his—veins of living darkness pulsed beneath the surface, crawling up to his neck.
And still… Thanos smiled.
"I will please Death," he growled, voice low, unhinged."Even if I have to work with the God of the Void."
Then something shifted.
The tone. The presence. The soul behind those words.
It wasn't Thanos anymore.
"Aiden Blake…" the voice hissed—colder, deeper, too large for any one body. "We meet again… This time not in a mere whisper… but face to face."
Thanos's eyes went blank for a second—then flared with Void energy.
"Well… that's relative," the voice continued, as shadows bled from Thanos's mouth. "This body can't hold me, not for long… but you remember which one did, don't you?"
Aiden's fists clenched.
Knull's voice echoed across the wasteland.
"Yours."
"For mere minutes… I wasn't even fully in control. But I remember the bliss. The perfection. Your flesh… suited me more than my original body ever did."
The sky above Titan crackled with unnatural thunder, as Knull's presence began pressing down on reality itself.
"And that's why… I shall take it."
Aiden stepped forward, fire flickering beneath his boots, lightning dancing around his shoulders.
He narrowed his eyes.
"Knull…"
He cracked his knuckles.
"Too bad for you," he smirked, flames now coating his back like wings, "I'm not the same as back then."
His aura surged—blinding, defiant.
"My body is mine alone…"
He grinned."…and well, for my girls too."
The air split between them—chaos on one side, raw draconic power on the other.
The final battle was about to begin.
