Chapter 539 - Chapter 539: Reunion! The Outer God, Thousand-Faced Moon: Hydra!

As time passed, the Serpent Evil God was completely eroded by the power of death. Its final hissing roars soon faded into silence. In the chaotic sea, it was utterly obliterated, vanishing without a trace, as if it had never existed.

The malevolent power that had clung to the small world also disappeared, vanishing alongside it.

Everything was gone, utterly erased.

Hades' expression remained unchanged from beginning to end.

Why should it change? Pride?

Meaningless!

This was merely an Evil God at the level of a God-King. For Hades, a being among the Ancient Gods so powerful that he could be called a living "bug," even a standard Ancient God would find killing the Serpent Evil God a trivial matter.

There was no other way!

Both gods and Evil Gods must abide by a fundamental law—the disparity in levels. This gap cannot simply be bridged with determination or effort. It is an inherent difference in essence, making challenges beyond one's level virtually impossible.

Hades understood this well, which is why he paid it no mind.

However, Hades seemed to sense something. He didn't leave immediately, pausing as if contemplating.

"Everything from the past…"

"This time…"

"It's time to face it again."

Hades spoke softly, a whisper that no god other than himself could hear.

He raised his hand calmly, the sleeve of his divine robe fluttering. In an instant, the small world was drawn into his sleeve.

Simple as that.

To Hades, capturing a small world was an effortless act.

In fact, Hades had always harbored a plan for these small worlds, though it had remained in the preparatory stage until now.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, he decided to gradually set it in motion.

As Hades collected the small world, he began assigning others to oversee its recreation and development.

The birth of a small world is no easy feat.

Even a small world holds great value as a base for cultivating the power of the world and, with proper nurturing, could serve as a source of faith energy in the future.

For Hades, these are enduring benefits. Though, as mentioned earlier, they are mere fragments of gain.

Yet even a trickle of benefits, accumulated over time, can lead to profound change.

Thus, Hades would never disregard such opportunities.

Over time, even a steady drip can erode stone. Quantity can ultimately transform quality.

Unfortunately, despite his faith deity status, Hades had not yet successfully forged a faith artifact.

This was an unavoidable issue.

Creating a faith artifact requires a massive quantity of artifacts. Previously, Hades' focus had been on developing his divine kingdom, an endeavor that consumed vast amounts of time and resources.

Moreover, the cultivation of the World Tree was already a labor-intensive process. He lacked the time to invest in fostering faith energy continuously.

What's more, obtaining faith energy within the Greek pantheon and the Mythological World was never easy, given its complex challenges.

Hades could only take things step by step. His path was stable and multifaceted, allowing for steady growth.

The Underworld.

Hypnos and Thanatos.

The twin gods received Hades' message simultaneously.

"Hmm?"

Both gods opened their eyes.

Hypnos spoke softly, "Thanatos, it's time for us to act."

"I know."

Thanatos nodded calmly.

The twin gods opened the gates of the Underworld and stepped through, vanishing in an instant.

A small world.

The twin gods arrived and surveyed the scene. The small world had been restored to its primordial state.

Hypnos remarked with a touch of emotion, "This is the result of a world corrupted by the power of an Evil God. If not for His Majesty's intervention, what would have perished wouldn't just be life—it would be everything, entirely obliterated."

Had Hades not protected it, this small world would have been wholly consumed by the Evil God's power, devoured like a snack by the Serpent Evil God.

It was as simple as that.

After a brief moment of thought, Hypnos asked, "Thanatos, where do you think we should begin?"

"Begin?"

Thanatos replied evenly, "Follow the previous template. There's no need for drastic changes. Let everything remain as it was and resume nurturing it."

"Agreed."

Hypnos considered briefly and concurred.

The twin gods then embarked on their journey of creation.

For beings like them, who commanded the essences of sky and earth, creating a small world was an effortless task.

If it were a Mythological World, however, the task would indeed be challenging.

After all, everything in a Mythological World is governed by rules. Even an Ancient God cannot forcibly destroy or create such a world without the passage of the designated time.

But for a small world?

Not a chance!

Given the abilities of the twin gods, they could easily destroy this world if they wished. Recreating it was even simpler.

Humanity.

Life.

Civilization.

Faith.

Everything needed to be rebuilt by the twin gods. Time? Not long. A million years or so would suffice.

With their abilities, crafting a small world as a perfect base for the Underworld—a pasture for nurturing faith—was but a trifling matter.

The Underworld, Elysium.

Hestia had come here once again, where Persephone was quietly waiting for something.

At this moment, Persephone gripped her scepter as Queen of the Underworld tightly.

Hestia spoke softly, "Sister-in-law, don't be too nervous. Since my brother stayed in the chaotic sea, he must have absolute confidence. Believe in him—he won't fail."

"Big sister…"

Persephone's voice was soft. "I know there won't be any problems. But still, I can't help but worry. In a place like the chaotic sea, anything could happen."

"Besides…"

Persephone knew exactly what her husband intended to face.

She also understood what he sought to accomplish.

But even with that understanding, how could she not worry?

No matter how much she tried to calm herself, the unease lingered.

Hestia had come to Elysium to accompany Persephone, knowing that only they understood Hades' intentions.

Yet, knowing brought no solace.

This was Hades' choice. No one could stop him.

They could only hope he would return unscathed.

"Sister-in-law."

"Relax."

"It'll be fine."

Hestia's words were comforting, but her own worry was unmistakable.

Meanwhile, Persephone's tightly clenched hand on her scepter betrayed her tension. Her once flawless, jade-like fingers now showed faintly protruding veins.

It was evident that no matter how calm she appeared outwardly, she was deeply concerned.

Even so, Persephone understood the importance of composure.

In the Underworld, she was its pillar. She had to remain steady.

In the chaotic sea, Hades waited quietly, showing no intention of leaving.

He knew what lay ahead—he needed to confront it.

In the past, he had faced the same fear but fled under the shadow of overwhelming terror.

Now, he would shatter that fear, for the shadow it cast could no longer linger in his heart.

Time passed in the chaotic sea, its flow immeasurable.

Finally, Hades sensed a heavy, ominous presence—a wave of Evil God power approaching from the distance.

"It's here," he murmured, waiting patiently.

The next moment, an overwhelming force of corruption enveloped the space around him, seeking to consume him entirely.

Yet, Hades stood unshaken, his Helm of Darkness quietly emanating divine power, effortlessly repelling the assault.

From the distance emerged a grotesque figure—a gray sea of sludge, filled with countless weeping heads from various races, their eerie whispers luring the unsuspecting to join them.

Even gods could be corrupted given enough time.

This was the essence of the Cthulhu Pantheon, beings of chaos and madness from the chaotic sea.

Hades remained impassive as he gazed at the familiar figure before him.
