Chapter 528 - Chapter 528: The Confidence of the Five God-Kings—Once on the Summit, Why Not Ascend Again?

The Titan Gods feared no challenge.

This was no jest.

For them, the defeat they suffered during the Golden Age had indeed plunged them into despair. But in this new era, they had clawed their way out of that abyss.

Now, under Cronus' leadership, the Twelve Titan Gods were undeniably outclassed by the standards of this new age. Except for Hyperion, the strongest among them, none of the Titans had reached the level of a God-King.

This was a glaring limitation.

Yet the Titans remained unshaken.

They held unwavering confidence in their ability to ascend once more. Even if it meant climbing inch by inch, they would reclaim their place at the summit.

For those who had once reached the peak, the true fear wasn't the climb itself—it was the thought that their Titan King, Cronus, might lose all hope.

Cronus, once the unparalleled Titan King, was their pillar.

If he were to succumb to despair and abandon his resolve, the Titans would face true devastation.

But Cronus had proven them wrong.

Though he had endured a period of profound defeat, he emerged stronger, his resilience shining brighter than ever.

Cronus, once arrogant, had learned humility through failure. He had been the first to escape the chains of fate and ascend to the level of an Ancient God. His subsequent downfall was a bitter pill to swallow.

Yet through that pain, Cronus had grown.

The cracks in his foundation had been repaired, and the fire in his heart rekindled.

Now, Cronus held an unshakable belief:

"I climbed once before. I can climb again."

This was no longer arrogance but a quiet, steadfast confidence.

For Cronus, the past was no longer a burden. He regarded it as a foundation from which to rebuild.

The Titans followed his lead, rallying around the conviction that they, too, could rise again. They had once stood atop the world, and they would do so again.

The confidence of the Titans, born from their king's resurgence, burned as fiercely as ever.

Meanwhile, Uranus, the first Sky God and predecessor to Cronus, was equally resolute.

"Hades, you're full of surprises," Uranus said with a smirk, sensing the birth of Love and Desire. "Your planning is meticulous as always. But I wonder—was this result part of your design, or did you merely adapt to Eros' interference?"

His eyes glimmered with sharp insight as he pondered the intricacies of Hades' schemes.

For a being like Uranus, once a God-King himself, the intricacies of divine power and fate were not unfamiliar. As he contemplated, his smirk grew.

"No matter," Uranus said softly. "I, too, have my own path to tread."

Cronus had rekindled his will to ascend. Uranus saw no reason why he couldn't do the same.

If Cronus could rise again, why not Uranus?

Failure was but a temporary state. For Uranus, it was merely another stepping stone on the path to reclaiming greatness.

The smirk faded from his lips as Uranus vanished into the void.

For him, the era of complacency had ended.

At the same time, Poseidon reflected on Hades' actions with a sense of awe and amusement.

"Hades truly knows how to stir the waters," Poseidon said, a glint of admiration in his eyes. "Using the collapse of human history to birth Love and Desire, and even weaving Eros' divine power into the mix—brilliant."

Though Poseidon respected Hades' ingenuity, he remained focused on his own ambitions. The ocean was vast, and his influence had yet to reach its full potential.

He, too, was driven by the opportunity to ascend beyond his current limits.

Back in the Sanctuary, Athena sat upon her divine throne, her expression serene yet contemplative.

"Hades..." she murmured softly, lost in thought.

Athena, though unsurprised by Hades' role in the collapse of human history, had not expected him to achieve such precision in his schemes.

The birth of Love and Desire, the inclusion of Eros' divine power—these were not simple coincidences.

"Was this all part of his plan?" she wondered. "Or did he anticipate and adapt to the unexpected?"

Her mind raced with possibilities, each more intricate than the last.

Athena understood that Hades' methods were deliberate and far-reaching, but the scope of his foresight remained unclear.

As she pondered, a figure entered the hall. It was Prometheus, bowing respectfully before her.

"Lady Athena," Prometheus said, his tone reverent. "The collapse of human history has been halted. Shall we proceed with the matter of creation?"

Prometheus, the overseer of both destruction and creation in this age, knew the importance of resolving these issues.

Athena's eyes opened, calm and steady.

"No need to rush," she replied. "The matter will resolve itself in time."

Prometheus nodded, sensing Athena's confidence.

Once, the Sanctuary had relied heavily on the Mythic World, constrained by its authority.

But those days were over.

The Sanctuary now stood strong, independent, and defiant.

"If the Mythic World dares to challenge us, let it try," Athena thought. "We are no longer bound by its whims."

Her gaze sharpened as she dismissed Prometheus, turning her attention back to her thoughts.

In this new era, the five God-Kings—Hades, Cronus, Uranus, Poseidon, and Athena—each pursued their own paths.

They shared a common trait: an unyielding belief in their ability to rise.

For those who had once stood atop the world, failure was not an end but a challenge to overcome.

This confidence was not born of arrogance but of hard-won experience. Each God-King carried the scars of their past, yet they wore them as badges of resilience.

They had once ascended to the summit of power.

And now, they would climb again.

For in this new era, the throne of the Supreme God awaited.

Only one could claim it, and each God-King believed they were the one destined to sit upon it.
