Chapter 97 - POKÉMON 3 – SPELL OF UNOWN: ENTEI (PART THREE)

*Note: I think this fic will recovered with the time.

Have a good day :)

...

Seriously? I didn't even have to try.

"What are you talking about? We don't even know you. How can we just let you tag along?" Roxanne asked, genuinely confused.

"I've already introduced myself; we're friends now! There's nothing to worry about," Lisa smiled.

She then approached us and held out her hand to me, still smiling.

Since she was necessary for the mission, I shook her hand and smiled back. Lisa was a pretty girl, and she wasn't just some movie character but a real person who would participate in the Pokémon League… should I try something with her?

In any case, that would have to wait; we had more urgent matters to attend to.

"My name is Ash, and this is my best friend, Pikachu," I said.

"Pika pi!" Pikachu chimed in.

"I'm Celeste," Celeste added.

"My name is Roxanne," Roxanne said.

The girls didn't look overly pleased, but what could they do? Ash didn't seem bothered by Lisa's presence, and her personality was... quite lively.

"It's a pleasure to meet you all! So, can I come along?" she asked.

"I guess so, but don't be surprised," I said.

"Why would I be? Let's go!" Lisa declared.

And so, we set off with her toward Greenfield.

As I said, it didn't take us long to get to Greenfield—15 minutes to be perfectly honest. But when we arrived, the television crews were already there, setting up their cameras to report the news. In front of them stood a colossal, dome-like structure made entirely of crystal, a crystal that continued to spread slowly but relentlessly.

"Behind me is the formerly peaceful and quiet Greenfield Town, where its beautiful meadows have suddenly undergone a sinister transformation! Authorities are overwhelmed by this strange phenomenon that appears to have its origin at…" the reporter began to say.

Meanwhile, in Pallet Town

Specifically, at Ash's house.

Delia, Ash's mother, had just finished her household chores, which had significantly decreased since Ash's departure. This was a blessing for Delia, as she now finished her housework so quickly that she even had time to watch TV for a while before preparing lunch.

Since Ash left, Delia had been feeling a bit lonely. Living with Ash brought her joy every day, but now that he was gone, she felt a little sad. But let's not dwell on that for the moment; let's focus on Delia, who was sitting on the sofa watching television.

"I think I'll put on the morning news. I hope nothing too bad has happened," Delia said.

Delia loved watching the news to stay informed about everything happening in the world, because, just like the real world, this world also had accidents with deaths, murders (though to a lesser extent than in the real world), among other things.

The crime rate in the Pokémon World was extremely low, and these kinds of incidents rarely occurred. The reason? Anyone who committed a crime would be severely punished, and trust me when I say you wouldn't want to know the punishments criminals faced. That's why there were hardly any criminals in the Pokémon World, only thieves, the occasional murder, Pokémon poaching, among a few other things. In fact, Team Rocket was a very special case in this world, as Kanto had never before had to deal with a criminal organization of such magnitude.

But let's focus on the important thing. Delia grabbed the remote control from a small table in front of the sofa and turned on the news, as she was accustomed to doing since Ash left. However, what she saw on this occasion was not pleasant, even for her.

The news was talking precisely about what was happening in Greenfield Town, specifically the same newscast that Ash and the others were watching.

"...which originates from the hill of the famous Pokémon researcher, Spencer Hale, whose wife mysteriously disappeared during an expedition years ago…!" the reporter was saying.

Note: For those who read the previous fic, you will know that in the last one, I decided to kill Molly's mother for reasons you already know. However, in this fic, I thought of something much more interesting—something that will surely disappoint incest enthusiasts, but which others will love. In any case, I already warned that there would be no incest, and what I do in the future will confirm it 100%. So, I apologize to those who expected any incestuous content.

Hearing this, Delia shot up from the sofa, alarmed and shocked by what she had just heard.

"Oh, no!" Delia cried.

In a swift movement, she headed toward the kitchen, towards a photo stuck on the refrigerator with a small, Pidgey-shaped magnet.

"After everything Spencer has suffered!" Delia exclaimed, heartbroken.

The photo was the same one on the nightstand in Molly's room—the one where they were all together.

This was a picture where they were all together and happy: a photo featuring her, Ash, Professor Oak, Spencer, Molly, and Talia.

Professor Oak, Talia, Spencer, and she had been friends for many years. In fact, before falling in love with and marrying Ash's father, Spencer and she shared a romance that lasted years, as Spencer and Delia met in high school. Although it might not seem like it, Spencer was only three years older than Delia.

Regrettably, although they shared a romance, they eventually went their separate ways. She married Ash's father, and Spencer married Celia. Curiously, whether by fate or not, Ash's father abandoned her and their son to fulfill his dream of becoming the best Pokémon Trainer. But for some reason, after getting his first badge, he stopped contacting Delia and she never saw him again. Meanwhile, Celia disappeared some years ago while exploring ruins in the Sinnoh region, as she was a lover of Sinnoh mythology. Since that incident, she has been missing, and they could never find a trace of her whereabouts. In fact, the police couldn't even find her body, so her tomb lay empty, beneath the ground in the now crystal-covered garden.

After seeing that photo and remembering all those good memories, she thought of Molly and decided that if Spencer had disappeared or died, the least she could do was take care of Molly. That's how Spencer would have wanted it. Besides, neither Spencer nor Celia had siblings, and their parents were both dead. Because of this, Molly would be sent to an orphanage once this whole problem was resolved, and that was something Delia could not allow. As long as she was alive, she would take care of Molly; that's what Spencer would have wanted.

So, she made a decision.

She quickly grabbed her smartphone and called Professor Oak, who surely already knew the news.

"Delia…" Professor Oak said.

"Samuel, Spencer, he has…" Delia tried to say.

But she was too nervous to speak clearly.

"Talia has already arrived at the lab. Hurry up, we've already called a taxi. We will be waiting for you at the entrance of my lab," Professor Oak instructed.

"I'm coming!" Delia said.

At the Greenfield Town Pokémon Center

We had arrived at the Pokémon Center, contemplating what we should do, or rather, waiting for the arrival of Professor Oak and Talia (Cerise), who had said they would come. Obviously, my mother would come with them, but Professor Oak hadn't mentioned it. Was it because he wanted to surprise me, or because he knew I would refuse?

In any case, it didn't matter; the important thing was that she came.

Some might wonder why I was so insensitive. The answer is obvious: I'm not, but I know nothing bad will happen to my mother. Molly will only want her to be her mother and won't harm her. That's why I wasn't worried at all.

After thinking for a while, Skyler arrived. He immediately recognized us thanks to the descriptions Professor Oak had given him.

Skyler told us everything that had happened, and basically, the story was identical to the movie, so it's not worth mentioning, as everything happened in the same way, without the slightest change.

"I think we should go outside, they're about to arrive," Skyler said, looking at his smartphone.

We all nodded and went outside while listening to the reporter who was just a few feet away.

"I am standing in front of the Greenfield Town Pokémon Center, where the strange crystal mass continues to spread without stopping. Fortunately, it seems that a containment team has just arrived…" the reporter was saying.

It was true that the team had arrived, but there was also a taxi coming up behind the containment vehicles, and guess who got out of the taxi?

"We apologize for the delay," Professor Oak said.

"The plane was delayed, that's why we couldn't get here sooner," Talia said.

"Mom!" I exclaimed.

I quickly ran and threw myself into my mother's arms.

I know I saw her a few days ago, but receiving a hug from your mother is never a bad thing. Besides, Molly has to see us being this affectionate on television. Only then will she start to feel envious and tell Entei to come for my mother.

"Pika pi!" Pikachu exclaimed, doing the same.

"Wow, you two are so cuddly, even though you saw each other just yesterday," my mother said with a smile.

But she was happy; being hugged with such affection by her son made her especially happy.

"Mom… why did you come?" I asked.

Technically, I shouldn't know anything, so I'll play dumb.

"I'll explain later. For now, just let your mother enjoy a hug from her beloved son," my mother said.

Then, she hugged me tighter.

"Thank you very much for coming, Professor Oak, Professor Cerise," Skyler said respectfully.

"You're welcome. We'll help you in any way we can," Professor Oak replied.

"Of course, we offer our knowledge to you," Talia nodded.

Meanwhile, just as Ash wanted, his embrace with his mother was filmed by the cameraman.

Meanwhile, inside the Mansion, specifically in Molly's room.

Molly was watching television while Entei lay beside her with its eyes closed, allowing Molly to rest against its body to be more comfortable.

Molly was watching television, trying to entertain herself for a while. However, when she changed the channel and saw the scene of Ash affectionately hugging his mother, and the mother returning his embrace, her expression suddenly became sad, as if she had recalled something that made her feel extremely unhappy.

Entei, who in a sense could feel Molly's emotions, opened its eyes and contemplated the scene of Ash and his mother affectionately hugging.

"Daddy…" Molly murmured.

Entei looked intently at Molly.

"I want a mom too…" Molly said with a sad expression.

Her memories of her mother were quite scarce, as she was very young when her mother disappeared, but even so, she couldn't help but feel sad upon seeing the familiar scene in front of her. After all, she also wanted a mother to care for her and love her.

"If that is your wish," Entei said.

Then, it stood up and rushed away while Molly continued to watch television.

With Ash

After the emotional reunion, it was time to talk. For the moment, we couldn't act because we needed more information about what had happened. Even though I already knew, this was the real world, not the anime. Everything here was much more dangerous. So, even if I knew all the events of the third movie, I needed to know if there were any changes to ensure that nothing had been altered. Otherwise, I couldn't follow the same steps that Ash took in the anime.

"Mom, I didn't know you knew Spencer," I said while taking a sip of lemonade.

We were currently in the Pokémon Center cafeteria. We were going to talk about what had happened, but asking her about Spencer was something Ash did in the movie (or so I think), so I asked too.

I honestly didn't remember if Ash asked in the movie, but since this doesn't change the movie's events in the slightest… it wouldn't hurt to hear it. Did you think I remembered the entire movie? In my previous life, the last time I saw that movie was more than 8 years ago, and I am not like those protagonists with photographic memories. My memory is good, but not perfect, so I don't recall everything perfectly.

"Spencer and I met in high school and have been friends ever since. In fact, he was always passionate about Pokémon, and when he entered college, he quickly became friends with Samuel [Oak] and Talia [Cerise]," Delia explained.

"Really?" I asked curiously.

"Yes. Furthermore, both Spencer and I were born and lived in Pallet Town," Talia added.

Seriously?! Wow, that was never mentioned in the movie or the anime. Of course, in the anime, Professor Cerise was a man and not a woman like in this world. And, honestly, I would never have guessed that Talia and Spencer came from Pallet Town.

"Is that true?" I asked again.

The girls were also listening attentively to the story but had nothing to say for the moment, so they remained silent.

"Of course, I would never lie to you," Talia nodded.

"And what happened that caused you to separate?" Celeste asked.

After all, Spencer ended up moving to the Johto region, while Talia moved to Vermillion City, so something had to have happened.

"It's simple. Spencer fell in love with Celia, a very beautiful girl from Johto. After a while of dating, they got married, and Spencer moved to Johto. That's where he had his first and only daughter, Molly Hale," Talia explained.

"And what happened to you?" Celeste asked.

"I met my ex-husband during a study trip to Vermillion City. We fell in love, then got married, and had Koharu and then Parker. As for what happened next… we simply divorced due to… personal issues, but since Koharu and Parker already had their lives there… I decided to stay," Talia explained.

"And what happened to your husband?" Celeste asked.

"Celeste, that's a bit of a personal question…" I interjected.

"It doesn't matter. My ex-husband simply went to the Unova region to investigate its mythology and Legendary Pokémon there. He has been in Unova for more than three years," Talia said.

She no longer cared about her ex-husband, especially after he left for Unova for three years. However, if he had at least contacted his children, she wouldn't treat him with such indifference and coldness, but during those three years, he never contacted his children.

"I see…" I said.

I guess not everything is perfect in this world; it had to have something bad.

To be honest, divorce is very rare in this world because generally, those who marry spend their entire lives together. But apparently, there are exceptions, such as Talia. Regarding my mother… I'd have to ask about my father. I remember perfectly that in the anime, nothing was ever known about Ash's father, only at the beginning where they said he was a Pokémon Trainer who left on a journey to become the best Trainer, but he was never mentioned again. In fact, he didn't even participate in any Pokémon League; it was as if he had disappeared from this world or maybe worse… perhaps he died in an accident. No idea. I'll have to ask my mother later.

"Also, you don't remember, but the truth is that just a few years ago, when Molly was two years old, Spencer came to visit us. In fact, he used to visit us frequently, but three years ago…" my mother said.

"Three years ago…?" I asked.

Most likely, this was about the disappearance of Molly's mother. Perhaps, after that, Spencer was consumed by grief and only began to focus on his work and his daughter, which is why he never came to Pallet Town to see his friends again.

"Three years ago…" my mother tried to say.

But suddenly, something strange happened. Pikachu, who had been listening attentively to the conversation until now, jumped down from the table and stood in front of everyone while sparks shot from his cheeks.

"What's wrong, Pikachu?" I asked curiously.

"Pika," Pikachu said, looking straight ahead.

Pikachu was looking intently ahead, as if he knew something was about to happen, and he wasn't wrong in the slightest, because just a few seconds later, a figure arrived, running at astonishing speed.

"It's an Entei!" Talia exclaimed, getting up from her chair.

I see, the moment has arrived.

"Impossible!" Professor Oak said.

But just as happened in the movie, my mother stood up and approached it—not too close. In fact, she was standing next to Pikachu, just a couple of meters from Entei.

"You… What are you doing here?" my mother asked.

At that moment, I understood something: Why did Ash's mother ask that question in the movie? I mean, did she intuit something, or was it a bad translation? It doesn't make much sense, but even in this world, she said it, and I have to admit that if it was feminine intuition… it's amazing.

Entei stared fixedly at my mother for a few seconds, and then it opened its mouth.

"I have come… For you!" Entei exclaimed.

Hearing that, everyone stood static in place. What did Entei mean by those words? They made no sense at all.

"After all, you are her mother…" Entei said.

Entei looked into my mother's eyes, and she immediately entered a kind of trance.

"Take me to her, take me to my little girl," my mother said.

It's simply incredible; this looks like a mind-control hentai scene. I don't know how an Entei can have that brainwashing ability on humans, but it's probably because it's a fake Entei created by the Unown, so it has powers that surpass those of a normal, ordinary Entei, or so I think.

Next, my mother fainted, but before she could hit the floor, she was gently caught by Entei, which immediately ran off.

Pikachu, who noticed Entei's movements, used its impressive speed and grabbed onto Entei's tail.

"Mom! Pikachu!" I exclaimed.

Honestly, I know nothing bad will happen to them, but since I have to follow the movie's events to the letter… I have no choice but to do it. Besides, it would look strange if I didn't shout after seeing my mother kidnapped.

Just like in the movie, I used all my strength to run in the direction Entei had gone with my mother and Pikachu. However, Entei's speed was too fast, and by the time I realized it, they were several meters away, and that distance kept increasing. But even so, I had no choice but to keep running.

Pikachu, angered by what happened, used all its power and launched a powerful Thunderbolt with the intention of slowing Entei down. But even though it was equipped with the Light Ball, Pikachu's attack only tickled Entei. However, that made Entei notice Pikachu's presence, and with a strong hip movement, it got rid of Pikachu, who was sent flying to the side and crashed onto the ground shortly after.

"Are you okay, Pikachu?" I asked, lifting my partner off the ground.

"Pika pi," Pikachu nodded.

Meanwhile, Entei continued running toward the mansion without a care in the world.

"Get back here with my mother! Don't think you can just kidnap my mom and get away with it!" I exclaimed.

I made a move to run, but I was stopped by the girls, who had been chasing me from behind. Still, don't worry, I'm not sad or anything like that, but I have to look like it. Even so, it's true that when I saw my mother being kidnapped, I did get angry. I didn't know why I got angry, because I knew perfectly well that my mother would be fine and that if I followed the same steps as the Ash in the movie, I would be able to rescue my mother without too many complications, and obviously Molly too. But then, why did I feel a sense of powerlessness despite knowing all that?
