"Sister, why don't I find out what they're planning?" Afreen suggested.
"How will you do that?" Sana asked curiously.
"Like this," Afreen replied with a smile. She began to change her appearance, transforming into a human girl—one of the same girls they had seen earlier in the water mirror.
"Wow, Princess Afreen! That's amazing!" Sabiha gasped. "Using both water and earth magic to change your form, and then air magic to even smell like her—it's incredible! You truly make us elves proud." Though she praised Afreen, there was a hint of envy in her voice.
But she also knew the truth: only a Princess or Queen could use all the elemental powers together. Ordinary elves didn't have that ability.
"It's okay, it's okay," Afreen said with a soft laugh, though she clearly felt a bit proud of her skills.
"Good. Now go and find out what those suspicious humans are up to," Princess Sana ordered.
