"Bang!"
"Bang!"
Two consecutive bangs rang throughout the room. One could already guess what caused the bang or rather who caused it. The General had dashed as though the one he was assigned to protect was in danger.
He did not bother to knock as he kicked the door with enough pressure to open them but not flung them from their frames. The bangs were consecutive less than a second each and as he stood at the door fuming, the two were caught deep in their kiss that they had yet to register the noise.
Or maybe they did not want to stop. It took a few seconds before they parted with Alaric raising his head and turning his neck to look at the intruder. His gaze had turned murderous, rage written in them.
It was a gaze that could send shivers to anyone and the general had he not known the kid, he would have felt it. But that gaze only made him mad. The kid dared defile the princess and still have thoughts of being angry?
Alaric was already pissed off by this general. He felt that had he been strong, no one would dare intrude in his room in such a moment or manner. Also, no one would dare spy on him. He calmed his rage because it would do him more harm than good.
He averted his gaze from the general and turned it to Aurora. She was flushed all over after the intrusion. She could not help but feel anger towards the general. Her eyes showed that she wanted to continue.
Alaric brought his index finger to her lower lip and brushed it completely disregarding the angry general. He then stood up from the bed and looked away to the window. His back to the general not giving him any face.
Aurora took a while to calm her erratic heart and sat down as her body regained it color slowly and it was only then she turned to the general. She should have felt embarrassed having been caught in the act but it was not the case.
She was mad. She never showed her angry emotions to adults and this time, she was mad at the general. Her hair was a mess as she walked towards the general but did not stop before him as one would expect a girl to stand face down and get ridiculed by the elder after being caught in the act.
She walked past him and on the way, she stopped and spoke coldly. Fully displaying the air of Royalty that could not be seen whenever she was with Alaric.
"Remember to always know your place. We shall be leaving in half an hour," she spoke coldly and walked through the doors not even turning to look at Alaric.
No words were needed anyway. What needed to be said was said before they got intimate and what remained was unfinished business and it was not going to remain so for a long time though.
When the general was left, he wanted to lash out on Alaric but Aurora's words felt like a jab to him and her words were clear as day. He was but a mere general while she was a princess. Who was he to intrude in private matters of a Royal?
The second meaning was that if he dared touch or say anything to Alaric, he would be offending a princess by touching her person. This was the same as touching the property of Royalty. He could even be charged of treason.
He glared at Alaric and turned to walk out but he spoke to the arrogant backview of the kid facing him.
"Make sure you always remain favoured by the princess," he said coldly and Alaric chuckled despite the cold sweat dripping from his armpits.
"Is that a warning or is it a threat?" He replied in the same cold manner.
"What if it is both?" The general countered anger evident in his voice. At this he turned to leave but as he reached the door, he heard words that he never thought he would ever in his life.
"Make sure to wash your neck for I will be coming for your head soon!"
The general at first wanted to laugh but he stopped when he felt it was as though the temperature had dropped. Could it be that the kid was the cause? That was impossible! He could feel a shiver and he was certain that it was the kid. Just who the hell was he?
Wasn't he just a Cryptic Plane kid? Did he even need to raise a finger to kill him, yet the kid did not seem to realize that and even dared to threaten him? Maybe his ears were playing tricks on him. Still, he did not bother much and walked out.
He met the headmaster on the way who said coldly the words that sent him shivers.
"You should wash your neck."
"Hahaha... You think that I am scared of that kid?" The general laughed it out but the headmaster's reply shocked him. The headmaster was among the few who knew the real identity of Alaric. He too thought that it was a myth before but not anymore.
"You should."
The general scoffed and wanted to walk away but he felt a hand on his shoulder stopping him.
"I have yet to speak about how dared to act willfully in the academy and even went to the extent of destroying the academy's property. Should I write back to the fourth prince?" The headmaster asked with a serious tone.
If he did write to the Royal family, the implications would not be as simple as just a compensation. The academies and the Royal Family had some fued with each other due to power disputes.
It would be a chance for the academy to put some pressure on the Royal Family. The general would probably face dire consequences for his actions. He had received several warning from the headmaster but in the end, he still went on his own and destroyed the academy property.
The general could only berate himself for his rashness. He cursed himself but there was nothing he could do for he was at the mercy of the headmaster.
"What do you want?" The general asked.
"I want you to stop interfering with the matters between the two. I am saying this for your own good," the headmaster said and vanished.
This was the first time the general felt that the gap between him and the headmaster was too like heaven and earth. Maybe dimensions apart. That aura, he only felt it from the Emperor. Even the fourth prince was no match. He felt that not even a finger but a glare was enough for the general to lose his life.

Alaric calmed himself fully and he looked at the bed. He saw the communication device that he had given to Aurora on the bed and he could not help but smile at that. He picked it and caressed it the smile not fading away. Almost as though he had not been angry a few seconds prior.
The last words she said were for him to know when she was leaving so he could go say goodbye to her. Now that he thought of it, she was going to leave just few minutes before Rey left. At least he was going to say farewell to each of them. Then he would focus on himself.
He walked out of his room and went to the gate.

Aurora had already gotten bathed and changed into a different dress. A lavender one that accentuated her features reaching to her ankles. She had waited for a while. She had said the time she would be leaving and she thought he would be coming but it was likely he was not.
Only few minutes remained before they departed and when she turned to look back, she saw Rey who was dressed in a red mage robe and black pants and shoes. He really looked like a Noble at the moment. Even his usually unkempt hair was neat. Next to him was an older man probably his older brother.
The two were almost alike with the older brother looking like the mature version of Rey. Rey had healed all his injuries and he was as fresh as though he had not been swollen before. He walked to her and smiled when he saw her.
"That damn bastard! He dare keep you waiting? I will make sure to teach him a lesson," Rey said without caring for etiquette.
Aurora chuckled at his words. As she replied.
"Not sure who needs to be taught a lesson..." She replied thoughtfully. Rey could not help but smile sheepishly.
"Argh! You think that I won't have my revenge? He will suffer for his actions," Rey said shamelessly.
"I shall tell him to get ready then," Aurora said with a chuckle.
The change in Rey's expression was so abrupt that it appeared that he would go down his knees the next moment. Aurora saw this and could not help but chuckle again. Rey had this special ability to speak to anyone freely and this was a valuable skill especially for Royalty and Nobility.
The two older men went to each other and spoke to each other while observing the two. They both appeared to know who they were talking about. Rey's brother had forced Rey to spill the beans and he had no choice but to say what happened.
Rey's oldest brother could not wait to see this Alaric who was able to easily forge a bond with Royal and also Nobility like Rey. Their wait did not go unrewarded as they all turned their heads towards one direction...
