Fu Shiyan touched her earlobe and said, "Then sleep, I'll stay with you."
Jiangli responded with an "okay," and once the two of them lay back down, just like before, she quickly nestled into Fu Shiyan's arms, finding her most familiar and favorite angle, resting her face against him.
Fu Shiyan's hand rested on her waist and back, gently stroking her spine on and off.
Jiangli fell asleep soon after.
About a few hours later, the door suddenly was knocked on.
Jiangli was startled awake by the knocking.
Fu Shiyan, holding her in his sleep just right, heard the knocking and opened his eyes immediately, instinctively looking at Jiangli. He saw Jiangli frown, looking a bit displeased, and rubbing against Fu Shiyan's shoulder.
Fu Shiyan gently patted her back and whispered, "Be good, keep sleeping, I'll go check."
Jiangli grumbled irritably, lifted her head, a full face of irritation, grabbing the corner of Fu Shiyan's clothes, sitting there in a daze, with a look of waking anger.
