…
"Come with me as my plus one next week. I'm sure it'll be a party we'll never forget."
The echoing of her own voice distorted everything, her brain was turning into a mush and a root of regret soon grew. "You know what, maybe I changed my mind- I actually don't want to see the heroine again this soon…"
Lady Olivia Charlotte Alarie, once feared and renowned, was now the one fearing a certain heroine that managed to place so many hickeys in her body.
As promised the eldest daughter of the noblehouse of Sinclair waited for her outside of her carriage.
They were outside of the parking spaces of the carriages, to the estate of the Baron. She wore her sexiest dress yet, a red dress with white linings patterned with flower prints of a rose.
The noble house of Baron Borbón- he was said to be a weird fellow with a mysterious and very low background. He was clean, he didn't have much dirt as said by the servants- he paid on time and no one bothered much to investigate his life.
It seems that he just wanted to stir out of trouble… that is until he adopted his heir from the southern kingdom then everyone in the west suddenly thought the world would end.
The villainess stares at the invitation letter that she held in her hand, cursing to herself and asking if this was such a good move.
"Looks like it's now or never."
"Are you talking to yourself?"
"N-No! I'm not talking to myself-" She jolted in response, placing a hand on her fast beating heart. "And don't scare me like that!"
Lady Anne tilts her head looking rather confused. "My apologies, I did not know that your heart was weak."
"It's not… There was just something about the weather today I suppose." She stares at the Borbón estate looking at the bright lights behind the windows and clenches the letter in her hand.
That broken heroine actually had the boldness to send her nude art! How shameless! It's her fault that she became this way, entangled by the sins of alcohol she will not be doing that again anymore!
"But the weather is wonderful?" (Lady Anne) looks up at the clear sky wondering what could be wrong with this kind of perfect weather.
Olivia awkwardly coughs, "Let's just go inside." she tells Anne but stops after doing an appraisal from her heels to her modern dress.
The compliments of red and soft silk, surely places her body in the right curves. This is a beauty whose sight is truly to behold.
"By the way- you look beautiful in that dress."
Lady Anne was a little shocked by the compliment because for her, it truly meant a lot that she couldn't help but smile unconsciously. "Thank you, I had it tailored exclusively by an amazing seamstress and… someone important to me designed this. If you'd like, I can give the name of the shop."
It was supposed to be a mermaid dress, a blue light silk surface with shiny glitter at the end. It was a bit too revealing on the shoulders but nonetheless it was beautiful. Her little sister managed to design a dress that she thought was a failure because the drawing looked… like it needed some more tweaking.
Still with some professional's help they managed to make do and complete the dress of it's missing flare. Lady Anne didn't tell her little sister of what she did because she didn't know how to and hopes she'll notice one day.
"I'm not one to shop for expensive dresses- anymore that is." (Lady Olivia) has forgotten her villainess attitude and began living in a more frugal one.
She saves when she can and invests in her interests of business that would eventually help her have some passive income for the future.
"Certainly this comes with the new change. Never in my life did I think that you of all people would not care about dresses."
The villainess says nothing as she continues to move forward, determined to see how this new lackey's bullying technique will be. "...I'm no longer my old self anyways."
"Welcome miladies- oh! Countess Alarie and Baroness Sinclair! It is an honor to see you arriving at the party." The herald smiles softly in their direction, Olivia could tell that he was one based on what he was wearing.
A Herald is a person who announces the arrival of a notable event or person.
"Right… I forgot they address us at our official noble rank." At some events one has no need to reveal their ranks if they want to but well this is one not so low-key party.
"Here is our invitation letter." She takes the letter out and gives it to the herald who does a quick double check before giving it back.
"Ah thank you, I already know both of the names of our esteemed guests. Milady is waiting for you both."
"Thank you as well." The villainess tells the Herald her gratitude before continuing to do his job.
Lady Anne says nothing and walks past him while keeping a weird subtle glance at Olivia. "Hmm…"
Her humming and staring is truly distracting. "What is it?"
"You couldn't have changed that much but- I couldn't believe what I heard. You're even nice to servants now?" She asks, not believing in her sudden change of character. How long will it take for someone to change completely-
First it was the dresses, the books about starting their own business and having money that's not tied with the wealth of their family… and then this?
"Is there something wrong with treating servants properly?" I cross my arm defensively, it's as if she's trying to say that I don't have a heart.
Well that was back then!
She's a new person now!
She can still be the villainess and complete the story's right flow while not treating others so horribly! And if she will then Olivia will have to make up for it.
"There is nothing wrong- forgive me perhaps I overstepped. You… just keep surprising me, Lady Alarie." (Lady Anne) stops for a moment, recollecting her mind and thought to herself to be careful around the new woman that is Countess Olivia Alarie.
Olivia crosses her arms, muttering. "... you'll get used to me soon enough."
Two more servants opened the door on each side as we went in, the Herald started announcing our name in a loud, clear and booming voice.
"Please welcome Countess Olivia Charlotte Alarie and Baroness Anne Sinclair!"
The pair was quite a rare sight to see, as everyone soon both heard their names all eyes were all on them. How curious everyone was.
The men gawking and looking at the beautiful noble ladies that they dream of becoming their wives.
"Whoa… truly, my eyes are seeing right. The eldest daughter of the noble house of the Alarie lower branch is here." One mutters out, chatting with his friend; they both stare in awe at the wonderful figure that is 'her'.
For some reason her reputation has increased.
"The eldest daughter of the Sinclair household too. Such strong and powerful families standing side by side together!"
"Perhaps father will be overjoyed if I managed to bring one of them home."
"Stop daydreaming and look at yourself, there's no way they'd go out with you."
Amongst the crowd of noblewoman who eyed the two with respect and jealousy.
"Ah~ how wonderful it is seeing the two of them together. Quite a strange pair but still as they stand side by side I can't help but feel they're truly beyond what we are."
"They're invited and they actually came to such lower parties? I only came here because I was forced to!"
"How bold of Baroness Sinclair to wear such a revealing dress! She should be ashamed."
"They're up first on the latest season of singles waiting to be engaged. I wonder who they'll end up with."
They all mutter in their own circle of gossip.
There was one who felt rage within seeing those two together and began overthinking.
"Hmm."
Who was that woman beside Lady Olivia Sinclair?
…
Meanwhile, the real star of the party was still being given admiring looks as she stood at the corner of the buffet hoping to eat.
"Good evening, Countess Alarie! I wanted to chat with you for a bit!" One of the noblemen who was eyeing her earlier looked a bit flustered as he stood in front of the villainess, palms sweating.
The villainess sees them and that was in front of her and observes his face. He's a Count from a good noble family residing in the west of the kingdom, Lady Olivia could tell that there was something that he wanted from her with the way he gazed upon her figure.
"Yes, what is it?" She asks rather coldly and the man continues to press on his luck.
"I was hoping you would be free to save me a dance later. The party is lovely but you're much lovelier."
"Thank you." She was really trying to get acquainted with so many people, and thought maybe you know one dance wouldn't be all that bad. It would be more beneficial to make new connections that would prove useful in the future as well. "One dance with you right?"
"Y-Yes!"
Lady Olivia Alarie froze upon remembering the true reason she came here.
Right, there's no time to dance- she should be finding the heroine instead!
"My apologies but we're busy right now, perhaps another time. You would understand."
"O-Oh I see."
"Hah…" (Lady Anne) sighs, crossing her arms peeking over a curious look at the villainess.
"You're very popular with the men." She says, meaning it as a compliment.
"It must be because of my family's background." Because even if she was from the lower branch of the Alarie household, they are still one of the most powerful families grand in wealth and influence. "...nothing more than that."
"Curious question, milady. Have you ever fallen in love? Because those boys looked rather smitten." She could almost see them gawking, drooling little dogs that wanted a piece of the sweetest eye candy they've ever seen.
The villainess shudders trying not to look and ignores her words. She wants nothing more than to live peacefully and survive as the villainess in the book but in order to do that she must let the story flow continue- continuing to do her role.
"I'm not cut out for love. I don't usually care for anyone else but myself. But if I ever want to love someone then…" She shakes her head, not wanting to be tempted by such a ridiculous thought. Her falling in love would just be another disaster waiting to break her heart into pieces.
"Then?"
Loving another… is such a difficult commitment.
"Then nothing- I have no plans in falling in love with anyone." She declares, and a certain someone couldn't help but smile hearing those words.
"Perhaps you'd want to love someone who makes you feel alive, milady." The heroine of the story, Mariana Borbón walks up to them both with grace and poise. "It is wonderful to see you getting my invite and attending my party Countess Alarie. I would enjoy more company."
The heroine was putting on a calm face.
"..."
But inside her heart was beating so loudly, it kept thumping after seeing THE countess Olivia in such a sexy dress.
'I want to take it off. I want to take it off. I want to take it off. I want to take it off. I want to take it off. I want to take it off.' (Lady Mariana) kept repeating those words. 'I want to take it all off and bring her into my private chambers.'
"I… yes it is nice to see you again, Lady Borbón." She greets the heroine awkwardly, keeping a perfect curtsy- remembering that this same adorable looking little girl was the one who sent her nude art inside an invitation letter.
She was wearing a lovely white dress assorted with beautiful patterns, making her look innocent and worthy of being the star of the ball.
"And who is this lovely lady beside you?" (Lady Mariana) peers onto Lady Anne who was quietly judging the girl.
The New Lackey thought well this simple little girl looks easy to bully, she gave her the impression of a fragile glass flower that you'd keep in a glass.
No wonder the Baron of Borbón adopted this kind of girl.
"..."
Because if the villainess is turning heads, the heroine is turning in rooms.
The whole room of her home was in her control, everyone- both men and women… they could all say nothing but praises and compliments for the heroine.
"I have invited her as my plus one. She's a very close friend of mine." (Lady Olivia) introduces her new ally to the heroine.
Mariana turns to Lady Anne with very kind doe eyes, but in reality- "A close friend. Is that so?"
Lady Anne nods giving curtsy. "It is a pleasure to meet you. I am the eldest daughter from the noble house of Sinclair. My name is Baroness Anne Sinclair."
"It is nice to meet you, Baroness Sinclair. I would like to formally introduce myself, from the noble house of Borbón- Lady Mariana Borbón." She curtsies slowly before continuing. "You could say the countess and I are also very… very close friends."
In reality those kind doe eyes can turn into such possessive horrors that only a few people have seen.
"...!"
Lady Anne felt her hair standing up from her skin- it was like a warning that she should stay away from this savage doe at all costs.
"...why does it feel like her stare is going to gauge my eyes out? I thought you two hate each other but why am I the only one she's giving the death stare to?" She reaches to pull onto Olivia's arm making the heroine even angrier and jealous deep inside.
"Please do enjoy the party but if you don't mind. May I have a few moments of time with Countess Alarie?"
The heroine calms herself down, revealing her true self to a stranger would be a problem especially if it would bring troublesome rumors that would harm his father's reputation.
"Alone that is."
"..."
Something doesn't feel right with her smile. Lady Anne understood the gist of it and will think of a plan to humiliate her later per contract states.
"I don't mind. I'll be here on the dance floor minding my business." She shrugs, whatever happens to the noble girl of Alarie is up to that scary girl.
"Thank you."
"Wait, do I not have a say in this?" (Lady Olivia) asks.
"It will only just be a moment." She tells the villainess that makes her lower her guard for a bit.
A moment… alone with the heroine..
Surely it won't be all that bad.
"Please follow me." She beckons Olivia to follow her deep into the halls and into a very private corner where no one was around.
She opens the balcony door, the chilly wind enters in and the villainess couldn't help but shiver a little from the cold.
"My, are you cold milady?" She chuckles walking over.
The villainess lets out a dry laugh thinking, 'How the fuck do you think I feel? You're the one with the coat here!'
"Of course, I'm cold. You let me follow you to an open balcony in the evening." (Lady Olivia) replies in an irritated tone.
Why would she even invite her here of all places?
The heroine walks over looking guilty.
"My apologies. Perhaps this will help."
"...!"
The heroine, without wasting any more time, crashes her lips into the other person and her hands begin traveling all over Olivia's back rather intimately.
She held her waist and wanted to never let go.
"Mnph!" The kiss was soft at first but then it turned rough. "Lady Borbón stop!"
"Oh?" (Lady Mariana) licks her lips, how an adorable doe could turn into a snake so quickly baffles her so.
"But we're just getting started, señora." Her southern accent slips loose as she holds one of Olivia's wrists and begins kissing her in such a tantalizing and dizzying way on the neck. "You have received my letter and the little sweet reward that I included, yes?"
"I…"
Mariana Borbón had exclusively hired a nude artist to draw her in such a way that the receiver of the letter won't be able to hold back when they're together.
To remember the memories and warm touches they did that wonderful night.
"I have shown myself bare to you." She lowers down her scarf revealing the top of her bosom and shoulders bare, the moonlight grazing its light upon the surface. "And I'm willing to do it all again."
"Listen I told you before that we're not-" She tries reasoning with the heroine who only cuts her off.
"I was so envious that any man could just casually ask you to dance, their eyes were like wolves as their gazes followed as you descended down the stairs." She grabbed the villainess' hands, interlocking them with hers, it seems that she has seen the commotion where a man has approached her to dance. "I suppose I'm a wolf too but one you've already marked."
"...gulp."
The villainess was in a state of panic as she swallowed the lump forming in her throat, realizing that she wasn't so cold anymore and had to stop everything in her power to remove these unwanted urges.
"Bite me." (Lady Mariana) adjusts her coat, revealing her dress and the white porcelain skin of her neck.
She offers it all to the girl right in front of her. Who wanted to do nothing more than run, but she needed to fulfill her role as the villainess. 'Please stop saying things like that I'm dying deep inside because I'm super duper guilty I've turned you into this!'
"Stop… your nonsense. We must go back to the party, I'm sure Lady Anne is waiting for me because you said we'll only take a moment." She argues looking away from her bare neck.
"..."
The heroine is hurt and baffled by her rejection, any man would be overjoyed with her offer yet she dares mention another woman's name after they've made love?!
"Lady Anne of the noblehouse of Sinclair."
'That girl… What is she to her? Is she her newest fling?'
'Her beauty is nothing compared to mine. Are those kinds of women her type?! Tall… calm, collected, of mature face and dainty red lips?! What does she have that I don't?!'
'No! She can only be mine and mine alone!'
She began talking to herself.
"...tch."
Jealousy flashes before her face and she couldn't help but pounce on the soft-hearted villainess biting her neck instead. "Mmph!" (Lady Mariana) left a subtle mark, feeling satisfied.
Olivia, who was not expecting that from the heroine, was shocked and in pain. She held the part of the shoulder where she bit and let out a low hurtful ouch. "Ow!"
She stares at the bite mark in a confused manner.
'The fuck did I do that you needed to bite me?!'
"W-Why did you bite me?" She asks worriedly.
Lady Mariana raises one of her brows slowly pressing her chest to hers in a seductive yet angry manner. "That girl from the noble house of Sinclair. Are you that close? Did you have your way with her like you did with me?"
Olivia became flustered hearing her words, having her way with her new lackey is not something she has thought of. "N-No! Of course not! I don't want to do any of that to her! She's just my friend."
'Wait, why am I assuring her of that anyways?' (Lady Olivia) blinks looking down on the small figure of the heroine, she was grinning like a little girl who just won free ice cream.
"...good girl."
"...?!"
Lady Mariana boldly takes the other girl's hand and places it in front of her chest, making it travel lower and then… lower right by her sweet spot looking a bit hot and bothered. She pants, breathing warm as she whispers to the villainess that her flower will only be reserved for her and only… her.
"You're only allowed to do that with me."
Possessive eyes that could only see the reflection of Lady Olivia.
"No dejaré que nadie más te tenga."
