Chapter 251 - Chapter 19

After the conversation, which resulted in the fugitives splitting up, the couple headed to the Kingdom of Ilkhori, located on the peninsula of the same name to the east of Elura. Just a few days into their journey and without any prior arrangement with each other, emulating Vidov, each of them created a vampire servant. Unlike Vidov, however, they were not so fortunate. The resulting creatures refused to be good servants and helpers.

As soon as they became somewhat accustomed to their new existence and realized their own power, their pride and self-confidence emerged. Alexey Gennadievich had already replaced four servants and was planning to look for a fifth that night. Olga Viktorovna, on the other hand, was more successful and was currently training only her third boy for the role of servant. She had personally decapitated the second one a few days ago after he refused to massage her feet.

"It's better to kill and bury them than to try to teach these fools to be grateful. Lucky for Andryushka (Andrey), all three vampires he created are so loyal to him," the girl said dreamily, pouring herself a glass of water with magic. "But we should be lucky too; we'll find capable ones. This one seems decent. Maybe he will turn out to be useful."

The boy they were discussing was at that moment climbing out the window with valuables and belongings. Having been with these mad people, who had turned him into some kind of creature, for less than five days, he was not willing to spend another hour under their command. It was better to die than to fulfill their numerous whims and face death every minute. Unfortunately, he could not return home to his family; in the presence of people, he lost control and attacked them like a wild beast, draining all their blood. He didn't want to kill his family; he genuinely loved them.

"Maybe I should make them like me? They seemed to say that they are immortal…"

The disappearance was discovered half an hour later. The couple immediately set out to search for the fugitive and wandered through the city districts all night. A few robbers received internal injuries and lost some blood after attempting to relieve wealthy fools' wallets who had ventured into the poor quarters. The fugitive, although not known for his intelligence, had a rare gift of peasant cunning.

Without removing his servant's livery and having thoroughly fed himself beforehand, he showed up at a luxurious hotel and booked the best room for his "master." The manager, having listened to the story about the baron who would arrive the next day and had sent his loyal man to prepare the apartments for his visit, immediately believed it. The whims of the rich are not questioned, and the most expensive room was at the fugitive's disposal for the entire night.

"Dawn is approaching, we need to go back. This pig outsmarted us!" the angry, beautiful girl spat on the wall of the house in frustration and glared at the young prostitute whom her companion had dragged along for a good part of the night.

The courtesan had caught Alexey Gennadievich's eye and was to become his next servant. All that remained was to return home and turn her into a vampire. Just like the others, incomplete and imperfect. As it turned out, the locals could not be normal vampires. They were incapable of magic, and the blood of their victims did not provide them with information about their masters. Naturally, no one was going to ask a street girl if she wanted to become a vampire; she should be grateful for the honor bestowed upon her.

"Yes, you're right, it's time to go home," the man confirmed. "We still have things to do."

"Regarding home… I was thinking, maybe we should turn someone wealthy?"

"Why?"

"His house, servants, and money will become ours. We'll make use of what's already there and won't have to worry about the future."

"Good idea."
